Marriage between Zojja and Logan.

I think a far more likely marriage would be Logan + Rytlock, they’ve got enough sexual tension to fill an expansion ;D

I was actually thinking of something somewhat unrelated, but…how would Rytlock look as a human female?

Rough sketch.

The reward is enough. Otherwise, it is too easy to abuse that feature.

1. Get a char, fall to death (taking no equipment damage)
2. Other player can rez me for xp/karma/gold.
3. repeat as needed.
4. ?
5. profit!!

So no changes to the mechanic please. It is too easy to abuse.

Except that Anet apparently has a way to determine if you die from accident vs. combat (hence the no equipment damage), so they’d be able to only add rewards for rezzing for combat death…

Oh, and I really liked Rich.9503’s suggestion to give a little Karma bonus for rezzing. Cuz, when I rez someone IRL, I usually get a little Karma…

Then I go commando, and get killed from some yellow mob so my friend can rez me… Death from combat, no equipment damage, and rez rewards.

I understand the post, and while I would love to see a little more rewards for rezzing, I know it’s something that is too easily abused…

Really? ANet implemented an antifarming algorithm for zones and dungeons. What makes you think they can’t implement diminishing returns on people getting themselves killed an inordinate amount of times?

Anyways, aside from karma, I’d suggest something more unique, such as random boons. Ressing someone will give say, give you [randomly] one of the following (just examples, I’m sure ANet and y’all could think of better ones:

They won’t stack in intensity, though duration will reset if you get the same boon twice.

3 min swiftness
30 min +30% magic find
5 min increased regeneration
5 min increased stamina regeneration
5 min increase to power/precision/condition dmg/vit/toughness/healing

The other thing to do would be to slightly decrease the time it takes to revive. Not instant like in the Gears of War games, but right now I could go for a smoke break and still not be done reviving someone who’s gone.

Thanks.

Here’s a sketch in progress. Might not have much time to get this done, in between real life demands. We’ll see.

Allow changing elite skills during cooldown

The whole point of elite skills is that they’re kickass encounter changing abilities. If I could use one to win a fight in PvP or PvE, then quickly change it out inbetween fights to one that isn’t on cooldown, I could use six elite skills in the space of a couple of minutes. I think that would be completely unbalanced as it means everyone is essentially running around with six or so elite skills on their bar. I say, wait a few seconds.

That would be a valid concern if it weren’t for the fact that quite a few elites are garbage. In reality, there are only 2-3 at most worth using for each character class, including racial elites.

“Kitten” is the forum’s automatic censor for swear words. From context I’m guessing the original word was the present participle of the eff-word.

I don’t see what’s wrong with this. You cannot change abilities in combat anyways, while the OP is not asking for elite cooldowns to instantly reset out of combat or on exchange. With how it is currently, it’s just a nuisance mechanic.

This LFG post will probably get deleted with the rest of them.

Care to explain? It’s an optional feature and it’s NOT related to dungeons.

Now, before we begin, I want to make clear this is NOT a DUNGEON LFG tool and unrelated to that.

1. LFG tool for questing
So, as it stands the current party finding interface is well, not very useful. I hardly see anyone using it out in the world, since most PvE doesn’t require any sort of organization and most players I’ve encountered know how to assist each other without being in a group. But giving it a cross-server quest search could multiply the LFG tool’s utility by quite a bit. This would give players an opportunity to meet more people and it may alleviate some of the current quest balance issues.

Anyways, remember that you get a confirmation window that asks you, “are you sure you want to enter your quest instance/continue your storyline” with a yes/no option? Well what I’m suggesting is, add a third option – “request party/search for party”

So you’re not forced to use it. If you want to continue solo, hit yes. If you are not currently in a quest and you feel like jumping in on someone else’s quest, just open the LFG tool and the quest search tab (as explained later).

Now if you hit “request/search for party,” the LFG tab will open up with a quest-related GUI. You will have two options at this point. You may host a quest and wait for others to join, or you may go out and search for open quests. When hosting a quest, you can set minimum level restrictions at your option and your max party size – you may also remove uncooperative or unruly players before starting the quest. In addition, there will be a chatroom in the quest lobby that is open to all servers, as well as private chatrooms for quests that you are currently hosting. These can be used to discuss strategy and whatnot.

Of course, it may take time for someone else to join (especially if you’re gunning for full house), so the quest GUI will remain open and the player can continue to multitask onto other things. The quest can be set to automatically start within a timer, or the host may choose to manually start it.

On the other hand, if you just want to find a quest to join, without being the host:
Quests will be sorted by recommended level, which can be filtered. You may also filter by race/order. You can see how many people are currently in each quest lobby/room, in addition to their classes. Since the search will return results from all servers, there shouldn’t be a shortage of quests once people start getting familiar with this tool.

2. Rewards for party members who join quests that are not part of their current storyline/quest chains

As you know, if you participate in a quest that isn’t relevant to your background, you won’t get ANYTHING out of it besides the exp/loot off trash mobs that you kill. You might as well continue completion in whatever PvE zone you’re in. To give an incentive to grouping in quests, I suggest adding karma/money/exp as rewards. Maybe crafting materials as well.

I am not suggesting that actual quests be balanced around teams though, as I am aware that they are intended to be soloable.

Of course scaling the rewards right is an issue, but the way I see it, just give them exp/money/karma equivalents to a small/medium DE at the quest’s set/downscaled level. If needed, implement a timer for diminishing rewards to discourage farming of quests.
