At the risk of being told “Just cos”…
… Why do Sylvari have funtime organs but not these little tidbits?
Thanks for the input, though I was speaking lore rather than mechanics and would like to keep this driven in that direction.
I agree— even said that I get that ‘spider venom’ and all that jazz is a good healall solution— but was wondering if there were any racial specifics out there.
I mean… Just because we’re all qualified as mammals doesn’t mean we can all tolerate the same stuff.
For now I’m just going to presume the answer is “No, silly, go be creative” <3
Absurd as it might sound, I can’t help but wonder over something like this.
Sure, the Sylvari are virtual equivalents to humans, but there has to be something out there that affects them because they’re -leafy- equals.
And the Char are like… Cat…Cow… Things. So what’s different about their diet/is there anything they have to watch out for in terms of digesting?
What about Asura? Without bringing size into this surely there’s something out there that’ll give me the “It’s super effective!” message whenever I stab one of the little guys with it.
In all seriousness though:
-ARE there any racial poisons out there? Or are we left with animal venom and/or our own creativity?
This makes me think of the DE in Caledon Forest where you ‘harvest’ fireflies to make streetlights; and then have to kill a bunch of mosquitoes that are attracted to the lights.
You, whomever you may be, are on the correct path.
Much like the nightmare court…
“wat, trolling iz the cure to trolling?” You might be onto something. Maybe if Caithe tries capturing her lost love in a straight jacket and locking her in a fluffy room full of Quaggan and mini’s… this might work. It just might.
so not. so not. every response with any content so far has been “but ArenaNet said it was supposed to be this way.” that’s an explanation, not an excuse.
crawkill, I still believe you’re looking at things the wrong way. At the risk of repeating myself I have to ask— where did you come to understand that Sylvari must to follow Ventari’s teachings?
Have them troll.
Trolls never come around to your way of thinking.
So they’re more like “fun organs”, yesplz.
I have a question related to this question though. Lore-wise how protective is Sylvari “heavy” armor? Like… they look like leaves… but…
???
… Too bad this thread didn’t exist circa 1200, eh? Lives could have been saved. Ferreal.
The Sylvari are -taught- Ventari’s -teachings-; I don’t believe anything in their lore states they were programmed to follow those teachings to the tee like golems. They are not the droids you’re looking for.
Caithe had her love turn into a vicious, tortuous Duchess. Please excuse her brutality.
Nightmare “cannot be cured” by anything the Sylvari (er, or otherwise I’m guessing) know. If you want to join the pacifist club, please state your IC name below and we’ll get into non-contact with you.
Just look at them like green, leafy humans. Sure, their single mother taught them all these nice things but there’s always that one big brother that just can’t stay off the streets, yeah know? And that’s in a normal-sized family. How many Sylvari brothers and sisters are there again?
I haven’t found any as of yet, but then I haven’t tried to backtrack all the way to the starter areas either.
And not to digress, but I’d like an idea as to what drops chocolate now. Maybe I’m just that unlucky, but I can’t seem to find any.
So in otherwords…
Yes, we have Roleplay.
Just keep in mind it isn’t an “Rp Server”; it’s just the server we decided to all get together on.
Keep up to date on your story missions. Decent rewards + decent exp = Decent leveling progress.
It’s not easy to speed up leveling (or slow it down for that matter) in this game. Not from what I’ve seen, anyhow.
Wouldn’t a nice middle ground lay somewhere along the lines of us keeping our Followers, but those Followers not being allowed to know our location/level?
That should rule out any “player stalking” problems and still uphold the community/anti-troll aspects.
