Not nerfing the bags, but nerfing their location. champion should spawn randomly and there should be a limit of people killing them. Why so?

1. Too much reward for something that can’t fail. It’s just impossible to fail this, it’s like standing in LA and getting free gold. You can go there gearless at level 1 and nothing will happen to you because there like 50 other people killing the same thing.

2. It’s bad for new players, exemple: he starts at queensdale, gets to level 80 and even at max level he still don’t know how to use his class. Same thing for wvw by the way : if people zerg all day long , they have no idea how to win 1v1 fights, I’ve seen some pathetic things on youtube, people are winning 7v1 in wvw because alot of them simply never learn how to PvP, they just blob up and spam 111.

3. What’s the point of those dynamic events and other zones like Orr ? If people can just stand in the same place and kill the same mobs over and over again? What’s the points of living story then?

4. The economy, people complain about precursors being 800g. If somebody stops playing for a week he is too far behind because people r making hunder of golds per day with this.

So yea, I think the champions should scale with the number of people. Exemple if it’s more than 10, then it could become harder by adding those ‘elite mobs’ . This would make open world harder if there 15 people , they will have to fight 10 elite mobs and 1 champion. Or they could simply spawn randomly on the map to avoid the whole zerg train farming them.

A lot of … well … interessting suggestions, but

0) So you have no idea where and when a champion will pop up and if he pop up into a running fight, you will be for sure everything else but exited. Randomly mean: you have to ask on the map for other players (good), but i don’t think that is very succesfull. There is allready a limit of people can kill any mob. 150, the limit of the map.

1) It is not a free gold. You still have to do your part (damage), then this is the only way you are qualifyed for loot. And a champ event can fail, mainly because there are not enough player there to kill the champion.
For a weekend i was running a champion zerg for a couple of hours, but i never got anything else then some blue or green. Not worth running hours around and ending up with trashloot.

2) If a player starts at Queensdale and leveling up to 80 there … well, that is his/her decision. Many times and many playser use to say “LTP!” (learn to play) to others, but what would you say to someone who is saying “LTP!” to you? Do you think you are really aware of all finesses of a class, so that you are able to decide when another player is doing right or not? This is the same useless discussion as “full berserker vs. not full berserker gear&skill”.

3. What’s the point of your question?
Do you suggest, that players who do not like the LS should be forced to do it?
Again: if someone farming champions, that is his/her decision and you (or me) do not have the right to say him, how he should spend his ingame time.
And at last, they drops T6 too, and that is something you have to farm if you are working for a legendary.

For me it seems you are complaning about things that you can’t do. like the campions farming. just because you do not like it, or you do not have the time for it.

Since i’m playing this game (more than a year) i’v only seen 2 precursor drops. One of them was my at the Karka-Event last November. The other one droped from a normal mob during the Jubilee-pavilion for a guild member. Please note, that on the TP you see all offerts from all servers and think about it. If it would be true what you are saying, then it would be hundreds and hundreds of precurors on the TP.

I do not run the champoin zergs becaue for me it is to boring. but i do not think that is enough reason to nerv them.

Why do we need small guilds again?
If you want to band together with your friends you are still allowed to do so by representing two guilds and making sure the bigger one understands your stand..

You can represent one (1) guild.

Yeah I meant be part of 2 or more at any given time, bad choice of words.

Thats right, but you still can only represent one and if you are going to earn rep. through guild missions for yourself, you will have to represent the guild which offer the mission. And that is very counterproductive for your own small(er) guild.

There is an obvious reason anet has done this. As another poster mentioned, there is a huge amount of candy corn floating around. They made a mistake last year and made the corn far too easy to get, which they corrected this year. Now they have added in these recipes to empty the economy of the excess corn.

It would be easier for ANet to buy out them from the TP as pressing palyers to do such a grind just to remove some amount of things from the game. i’m sure after the event it will be much more candy corn floating around as before.

Why in the name of all that is unholy would a skill called Consume Conditions designed to remove conditions from your character give your character conditions. With this change Necros officially have no useful heal skill.

I don’t knwo who’s ******* idea it was. but this is the most stupid change i ever seen to healing skill in every mmo i ever played.

I will say that it wasn’t as hard as the Mad King Clock Tower so ANet, MAKE THEM HARDER!!!!
Something I can complete in 5mins is not hard enough
Don’t listen to the people who say they are too hard. They are just not putting in the time or effort and solely want the rewards for it so they can get their weapon/armor skins.

In the german Forum someone mentioned it is very very hard for her/him, because she/he is handicapped and can only use one hand. She (or he) try it for a couple of hours with no success yet.

Is that what you you would like to say to her/him: "You are just not putting in the time or effort and solely want the rewards for it "?

If it is too easy for you: do it backward! Make a video of it, and we all will praise the new and only true King of all Jumpingpuzzles.
Seriously, it is you right to say, it is to easy for you, but it is really selfish to ask ANet to make it harder for everyone else.

I’m tired of those people with L2P issues. They just want to get reward for without any effort. Press 1 1 1 and get 100g.

With more than 4000 hours play time can not say that i’m a “casual” gamer. But im fully agreed with the OP and i also agreed with you.

The problem is, as far for me, is in the concept of the game itself. This game was not designed for organised group-content (exp. some paths of some dungeons). The Wold-Bosses and any other big events was designed as zerg-conent.

The first change came as Tequatl has been changed, the next one was the Tripple Trouble followed by Dry Top and the last one is the Silverwastes. ( i know the Scarlet Event was also here, but that is now history)

The good Part: the community organised itself and offers for all these bosses/areas organised events.
The very bad part: ANet never says "we change the concept behind the game, away from zerg-conent to “need to be organised”-group-content.

This is the reason why i agreed with the OP. If ANett say nothing, why sould ppl care and how ppl should know, that they need to be organised?

After a year or so ppl have learned how the Tequatl-Event works. And the event became “easy going”.
But after more than a half year there are still to many ppl who have no idea how the champions during “the Breach” and the Vinewrath-Events works. I have seen so many times midlane to fail, because only one Meser and/or Guard was used reflections.

And this is why i agreed with you. Many ppl have an L2P issu, but not with the class. They have an L2P issu with group-content and have an issu to be less selfish with class skills and slotted skills if they are doing group-conent.
The Silverwastes is the best and worst example of that: i’v seen many disgusting speeches in the map chat if Vinewrath fails. Mostly form some uber-player with the attitude “i’m doing my berserker stuff and you are here to heal me/ give me stability” etc. etc. I have seen there the loss of 8 sige carriers at one lane just because ppl was fighting the mobs at the entrance and did not care about the munition base.

Therefor yes, they are people with L2P issues. L2P issus to play group-conent instead of zerg-conent.

I’m really curious how HoT with it’s very group-conent oriented maps will work with such a palyerbase.

People always love to use excuses, like example “I can’t play this game anymore, since you nerfed my build” with skill nerfs and “You removed the mobs I was farming, now I can’t get any gold, I have to stop playing this game” with fixing exploit used for gold farming…

For me it seems, that you need some excuse, for whatever reason.

I for myself do not need any reason, or maybe the only one “i dont like what this game became” to quit.
For me personally was a trend to see in the game since ANet started focusing on the chinese market. The game begun to be more and more a grind instead of fun to play. The preliminary peak is reached for me with this update. It’s not only the leveling, but all the many small things that came out in the last weaks and months.

Should ANet goes to the chinese market? Yes!
They should go to every market they can reach and with it they can make that the company can develop and maintain a game.

Did ANet this job right? No!
It is a question of gaming cultur [and country law] (even if the chinese players disagree with this changes as much as we disagree with them).
Was this commotion of the “western” playerbase foreseeable? Yes.
Was this commotion avoidable? Yes.
ANet had these differences ignored or taken the consequences deliberately to purchase.

For me, this game has lost its soul and esprit. At the beginning and for a long time, it was “GuildWars 2”. Now, it is jut another stupid MMO.

I can’t quit this game, as there is no sub. fee for the game (yet!). But i can stop playing it and can stop buying gems.

And now i stopp both.

To add last thing, I’m all for increasing CC and support in pve but it should be done through traiting not gear. We have enough of it already.

I agree with that.
But we would to have to clarify first what CC is.
In a short term, crowd control is the ability to limit the number of mobs actively fighting during an encounter. Fear, daze, root, stun, mesmerize in any form.
Now look at all class cc skills and their duration and radius and range.
What we have at level 80 in this game as cc would be in other games skills for a beginner.
Most of the times you can CC one mob in this game, because the AI of the mobs is outstanding good, they are running away from you – out of range or radius – etc.
you have no chance for real CC becaus of or that and because of our pathetic skills on CC.

And now look at the dark side, look at the mobs. Knock down a player for 30 sec. isn’t very seldom. Tequatl is a good example if you defending the turrets. The kraits can chain pull you with not a whiff of chance to break it. Or now the labyrinth of the mad king: skeletons push you, mumies pull you and all what you can do is, looking at you life-bar going down. That IS cc!
Regardless how good your group is, you will be never able to do this kind of cc. Sometims i have the impression, this game was made for the mobs and not for us.

No, CC as it should be is not implemented in this game and 99% of the time you just need to do dps because the lack of real CC.

I do not understand the Problem.

Before the patch: i never find any Passion Flowers from Passion Vines.
The pachnote said Increased the drop rate of Passion Flowers from Passion Vines.
After the pach: i never find any Passion Flowers from Passion Vines.

It is simple math: 0 x [whatever number of increase] = 0.
So everything is OK there. Teher is no reason for complains.

I’m sorry to see the qouted posting from you, because it show me someting, i hoped never to see from ANet, namely a kind of denying reality.

You right as far as you shipped all the above listed things. But the reality is, that those things were broken, bugged and partially just non existent at the time of delivery. You can read all the patch notes about all the broken things, missed components, missed part of the maps and so on, so there is no need to list them here.

Regadless the fact, that i like some of the new things very much (e.g. i like the mapdesing of Tangled Depths the most in the game, and if i could, i would pay the beer for it’s dev team for a month) i can not say, that the delivered content was a full package.
I belive that the people at ANet have been working very hard on every byte of code of HoT. But HoT was and still is a banaware. And this is the fact, what you don’t want or don’t like to see as your post point this out very clear.

I don’t care much about the new legendary weapons – but i was expecting them to! – and i’m not really sure about your motives to change the direction about what should be developed and what not.
I just wonder if the declining of the new legendaries also connotes, that ANet developed here a grind-system, whose desing at the end even for ANet itself is just to much?

I’m also not sure what do you mean with “sustainability” & “drought of content”. For me are dungeons content, but you don’t have a dongeon-team, so there will be no new content of this type. A Map would be new content, but we got allready 4 new maps, yes? So no new content of this type.

Fractals level 100+? No, thanks. I run them more than enough already.
New Fractals? You can develop new Fractals but you can not develop new Dongeons? Hard to belive.

Well the Living Story remain … that Living Story …

I’v hated all of them. (Maybe not the stories, but the kind they have been delivered)
Pushing out a new Story every two week made me feel as i would be in the rush-hour. Run, run, run to be able to do the events, to have some of the achivments etc. and at the same time not having time for anything. That is not content for me. That is something caused me to click on the “log out”-button.
My definition of sustainability don’t include that a player is rather clicking on the log out-button than play the game but it is include the fulfill of a promise. Even if it is a tough decision.

It is a bit misleading. Even in the grey button, it is still “+1”, if someone click on it again, it actualy “down vote” the post,. It shuld be changed to “-1” to make it clear, that clicking on the grey botton remove the “+1” Vote from that post.

It is a 404 error in the member page.

its what the combat is about; mobility and dodging. avoiding attacks, interrupting them, aegis them.

thats how you play the game.
its not final fantasy.

but a lot of people play it this way..
anyway, i remember i was a “not so good player” but after 400h i can say i quite rock with my guardian!

Sorry, but guarian is not the only class in the game and not every class has Aegis or “Hallowend Ground” or “Hold you Ground”.

While i find the Krait event more challenging ( i like how the event scale if more people doing it) there are some other places where the changes are quite exaggerated.

Like the one of the pre events of Dwyna, where you will be ported! into a red circle and instantly knock down. You have no chance to dodge you can do excalty nothing except examining the ground and get the damage if you do not have stability running at that moment.
Same with the Acolytes, three of them and you will stay “as the pillar of strength” and die because there is no such amount of skills in the game as you would need to get out of all those immobility buffs you got.
It is the same old problem we had since a long time: many of the same typ of mobs doing the same skills at the same time and you have no chance to get out of that.

Fireworks Thread - Overflow and Achievement issues

Let me explain how this works.

The firework event cycle (them happening every two hours) was started at 9:00 AM PDT. The event itself is tied to the ingame time and will happen at dawn (ingame). So your fireworks might not have happened yet, as it is not dawn ingame.

Apologies for us not communicating this more clearly. But the fireworks will happen every two hours over the course of the weekend, so plenty of time to marvel at them and get the achievement.

It means: the event is starting every 2 hours IF it is dawn on the current (overflow) server?!?!?
If above is correct, it will minimalise the possibilities to got the achivement as there is always an owerflow in LA and it will be a lottery if it is dawn on the current server.

Sky Cristal Master achievement bug

Very similar to me:
on the 20th evening, i collected 5 of the 10 master cristals.
when i was logged in on the 21st after the first pach, the achivment was set back and told me i have only 1.
I have done then all the cristals but the achivment still says i have only 9/10.
I checked with http://dulfy.net/2014/05/21/gw2-sky-crystal-master-achievement-guide/ site, visited twice all the 10 cristals but non of them is active for me. I was looking for hours around if would be more master cristals but there are only those 10.
So i have 40/40 and 9/10.
