Gaile, I definitely support these changes! I would like to mention something about the way that squads work in WvW regarding player contribution to receive credit for kills. In the traditional parties, it was very simple to receive credit for killing a monster/player even if you only hit that enemy for very small damage. In squads I noticed a significant increase in difficulty to receive credit for kills during large scale combat. In squad it seemed that there was no group contribution system for receiving credit for kills/loot. After noticing this, I found several reddit threads regarding this issue and have seen several comments about it in-game. I decided to test this with a couple friends by creating a party and comparing how easy it was to receive credit for kills in WvW with that party versus the rate at which we received credit for kills in WvW in a squad. It was very clear that being in a party instead of the squad gave a significantly larger chance to receive credit for kills. This is a disappointment for me because creating a squad is the only way that a commander and his team play together in WvW now. There is also another downside with squads in WvW since they have a player limit of 50 players when there is often more than 50 people present on the team, so the players that are locked out of the full squad are not included in the organized squad sub-groups and supply count (commanders mainly look at squad to check his/her team’s supply count).

Omg, poor spaniards, they only have one server dedicated to their nation. But you know what? There is not only Spain in Europe, there are dozens of nations and 90% of them having no server dedicated to them. So you know what? Get some english lessons and join any of the lower populated servers just like the rest of Europeans.

You know what else? Since we DO have a server dedicated to Spanish, it would be nice if it was open since it’s the only one! Why don’t you learn some other language and go hang out with foreign people if it’s that simple? Just to remind you, Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world. It is among the top 3 most spoken languages on Earth. Are you really comparing the Spanish language to any European language?

It’s the only Spanish server. I didn’t choose whether it get placed in EU or NA bracket. Your points are really not contributing anything except insults. My point still stands.

Baruch Bay is the only Spanish server. Players that are new to the game and speak Spanish are unable to join their national server. I have played WvW for 3 years and can confirm that they are definitely not over-populated. They definitely need more players to compete with any high ranking server. They actually struggle with numbers, to be honest.

Baruch Bay needs to be open.

I know this isn’t the most important thing at the moment, but I think I’ll give it one more bump and be done with it.

If memory serves me correctly, they nerfed a lot of it’s usefulness because some thought it was a pay 2 win sort of thing especially concerning WXP. Perhaps they didn’t bring it back intentionally?

Pretty sure they only nerfed the amount of time that you can stack to your boosts at one time, which honestly doesn’t bother me. You can just re-apply it when it wears off.

I just can’t believe how boring HoT is, and Anet was pounding their chest and patting themselves on the should and it turn out to be this boring and confusing. It felt like it was a chore/job to do instead of being fun. To those that didn’t buy it, you not missing out on much. As a matter of fact, I envy those that didn’t waste their money.

I agree for the most part. I honestly try to avoid being negative, but I am legitimately annoyed this time. ANet is a good team- just check other MMO companies for an easy comparison. I will, however, say without a doubt in my mind that HoT did not deserve the amount of hype that we gave it. I play this game every single day, I’ve been loyal since the beginning, and have yet to get bored- until HoT was released and they nerfed the other parts of the game that are unrelated to HoT (dungeon rewards, fractal rewards, eotm rewards, other things). Those things were definitely nerfed to make the HoT content more appealing, which honestly should not have been an option. The HoT content should have been created to be significantly appealing on its own, but no we just resorted to nerf the rest of the game to make the new content look shiny. Even the new WvW map feels like a huge chore that I would just love to erase. I am actually worried that the WvW community won’t embrace these tedious new maps and that we won’t be able to recover from that. I know it hurts to read things like this, developers, but I’m trying to have faith that the sheer amount of negative feedback will yield positive results. I don’t want things to stay in this current state. Heart of Tedious things.

We know they weren’t originally designed for gliding, but we also know that it’s not impossible to change. His point is still the same.

I was so upset with myself last Halloween because I didn’t buy the Candy Corn Gobbler from the gem store. After I missed it, I decided to wait until this Halloween event and just purchase it from the gem store, but it hasn’t been added yet. I know you’re pretty busy with things that are HoT related. This thread is just for ANet to possibly notice and hopefully remind someone about this item. I simply must purchase it. Haha

Same problem for me. I’m getting the exact same issue when trying to log into my new Charr character who is being sent to the beginning instance.

I think 1st quarter is a likelihood. No developer likes saying they are putting in something and then let it sit if they can help it.

That kind of attitude doesn’t help anything.

I would also like to know when. You don’t even have to release an official DAY, just a time period that it may be released will make everyone feel better.

I’m sorry if this has been announced elsewhere, but I have been unable to find it on the forums or by asking in-game.

Even if there isn’t an official date of release, could we get an approximate estimation on when? Even if just a guess.
