As a long time gamer, I can not comprehend why the makers of games, particularly MMO’s do not get this simple fact. Clicking is bad. Please. Stop making us click so much. You have introduced more mouse clicks to perform the same actions we used to do with one. This is extremely bad and is in all seriousness causing me physical pain.

I beg you. Introduce a better UI for the forge. Make a ‘repeat x number of times’ function for making items.. for example, siege. Please get rid of the extra acknowledge dialogue box you introduced for purchasing items with your skill points from the forge attendant. It is unnecessary and sadistic. One click for purchasing at least the very least,1 skill point items. At 2,500+ skill points, this is a very daunting task and lots of potential physical pain to actually spend them.

It has been a stressful but fun matchup. I too was thinking this is the kind of fighting that WvW was supposed to be like. There have not been any (not so) secret alliances or week long double teaming of one server. Each server is playing for #1 and not playing for second place like so many lame servers DR has played in the last few months (you know who you are, cough IOJ cough and others). Long hours put in by many on our server. Many giving it 100% and then more. I’m sure the other 2 are doing the same. It’s cliche to say we all won but seriously, no matter the winner, I am proud of the effort Devona’s Rest and I will remember this close match for a long time as it is and has been epic.

Before the introduction of this exotic spoon, I used to receive exotic drops on average of 1 per day in WvW. Since this silly collection of spoons started I don’t believe I have received a single drop of an exotic that was not in a bonus chest while in WvW. Please fix this. We do not need these spoons. They are beyond useless.

Yes, it was nice. I sometimes play 16 hours a day though.. so it’s time spent. Do people saying I’m lucky play as many hours? Think about how much time you actually spend playing x how many things you kill during that time.

I don’t believe I was ‘insanely lucky.’ I play a lot of WvW. I kill a lot of things. Now every time an exotic chest appears, it’s a spoon. I’m convinced they screwed up the drop tables for exotics by making these spoons exotics and having a high probability of dropping once you roll an exotic. Since I don’t do much pve, I don’t know if the same is true for there.

So I just got out of EB on NSP side. GoM has 4 trebs on a hill guarded by a zerg, as they siege our keep. DR is starving our supply, and camping our spawn. Why on Earth is there an alliance like this against the weakest server of the 3? Why do you have to team up against us? We don’t have the numbers, we don’t have the coverage. Everyone is leaving our server because of this. Why are you still doubleteaming us? Why can’t DR and GoM play the game properly and do WvWvW, not 2WvW? Honestly, someone enlighten me! I’ve been skeptical about there being an alliance up until this point. I see everyone thinking they are getting doubleteamed. But honestly this takes the cake. You guys are obviously working together against NSP week after week. What gives?

Really? You make this kind of accusation and you really have to ask why I have focused my attention more on NSP than GOM?

HAHAHA.. Alright. Let me tell you why. And No. We at DR have no alliance with GOM.

NSP has continuously done EXACTLY what you are describing to DR whenever DR makes a move on GOM, NSP is sure to take our camps and siege our towers. This is to be expected to a degree, as long as I see NSP do the same to GOM which last week I had, I will not focus more on NSP than GOM.

This brings me to yesterday. Yesterday NSP and GOM decided to push DR off of EB together. GOM camped our spawn, and trebbed our walls and siege from the West. NSP broke the walls of our keep on the East. I even heard someone in chat say NSP and GOM were waving to each other whilst you two were sieging our keep from either side. So there is your answer. I am responding to your (server’s) actions.

You reap what you sow. I’m sure it was real fun for you yesterday. Not so much today, right?

Truly an embarrassing performance by both GoM and DR just now. Allying against the outmanned server, rushing our keep in EB with 5 golems, and still wiping.

Or. We saved your kitten from the 4th? GOM golem rush of the day. Which is what actually happened. And by we, I mean DR. I personally wasn’t in your keep when that happened, I went back to our own keep to watch for a rush there. We saw the golems marching into overlook keep and the commander who was sigiled up decided to go kill the golems as we knew we would be next up once your keep fell. Nothing incites a zerg or mini baby zergs as we Devonians usually have, to a violent rage quite like seeing enemy golems.

Just want to it clear [WvW] is only in GoM. Yes there is another guild that uses that tag. Yes when ever we see them we destroy them as there should only be one guild with that tag and that’s us.

Claim all the 2xTeam you want if you lose you lose. All I can say is we don’t fight for 2nd and we don’t ask for help we just get our people take our zerg and take all your stuff.

We love trolling and love causing drama because it makes us laugh so nsp please keep feeding us more bags.

The south camp was probably blue first. The blue yak would have moved out onto it’s route before GoM came to the camp to flip it. If a camp flips, that doesn’t mean it’s yaks automatically die.

Yaks stop at enemy towers because they follow a specific path every time. ANet never programmed a route that takes the yak straight to a keep, and I theorize that it’s partially because it would make yak-running too easy. Don’t worry though, yaks will never drop supply at an enemy tower.

im the one that flipped the camp. i was defending the camp. the yak spawned about 3 minutes after i capped it. it spawned after i died defending it.

which means that ~3 minutes after i capped the camp and made it red.. a blue yak spawned. ive seen it happen plenty of times before when enemy yaks appear at same time i flip camp but never seen it happen minutes after i cap a camp.

and yaks skipping towers, its not gonna make it that easy except for mendons.. but it should skip it.

I think it just looked that way to you as you weren’t watching the entire sequence.

What I would bet actually happened was the yak was on a return trip when you flipped the camp.
A returning yak’s image always lags far from where it actually is.
A returning yak can actually still supply at an enemy camp and continue on it’s journey if not killed. At least, I assume it has resupplied. That part I do not know for certain. I do know that they can make the trip back to the tower from an enemy camp.

i have seen it before when a yak is making a return journey. ik they are never in the right spot when that happens. “target yak.. start RTL.. why am i heading to the camp instead of the yak?”

but what you are saying is that if the yak was heading back to the camp, and even though i flipped the camp and pretty much 3 minutes after i flip the camp, the yak can still spawn for the enemy?

also, from the time i saw the yak spawn and after i realized it wasn’t a friendly yak, as well as after the chat posts i made in game to find out how it happened,, and of course someone would say hack,, to the time i took the pic of the map was about 2 minutes, so the distance traveled for the yak is about right for the spot the yak is at.

so the turn of events went pretty much like this, i flipped camp, not too long after i saw an invader so i engaged him but more show up. roughly 7 or 8 of them total so i retreat to the camp and we fight for a bit. they kill me and i click on the guild lord and see he still has just over 2m left on RI. thats when i see the yak appear, and the yak does its thing and mosey on through the crowd of invaders making its way to the bridge. i ask in chat how this happens and i get the usual responses of someone hacked or game bug or idk and idc with some responses for some lol’s. i check the guild lord again and its RI is just under 50 seconds. i looked at themap and to wp and changed my mind and thought i would take kitten and of course shortly after, the camp was flipped again.

I would just restate what I already said. If no one killed they yak, it would start another trip. As I said. I am pretty sure you just did not observe the whole sequence of events. You were busy + the yak lags + it SEEMS as if it magically appears when it hasn’t. It’s image lags from where it actually was. The image doesn’t catch up until it is on the trip away from camp. If you watch enough of these events you’ll see.

Siege Despawn Timer

30 minutes is a really bad time. There is but one piece of siege which should have that time and that is a ram. As it is now, nearly every time a defending force arrives to defend, there is NO siege especially for towers away from the front lines. This is compounded now by the delayed contested timer. The gates can be half down by the time the timer even shows up, let alone allowing people time to get in, build the siege and defend. Battles rage for hours. It takes time to place siege, go to defend or attack an objective and come back to.. no siege. 30 minutes passes by in this game easily. It happens all the time.

The other issue is that this refreshing of siege, like repairing and trebbing, are largely done by a minority of people. Most people, at least on my server, do not do these tasks and indeed, they ARE boring, repetitive and unrewarding in terms of not receiving enough credit in the game. What happens is there are a few that spend most of their time running around touching siege while the rest of the people get to do what everyone really wants to do. Kill enemy and you know, ENJOY the game. This low timer on siege is a really big issue.

As far as the original poster’s thoughts. I disagree on the timers for all but rams. I would extend the time on siege to a few hours at minimum and more like 5 or 6. If the worry is about having the siege limit reached then allow commanders the ability to destroy friendly siege. All siege can be used defensively so I disagree with his basic premise for the timing. I also think it should not be a chore to play a game. This siege time limit gives a few people a tedious job to do.

I also am quite ok and welcome the changes to the arrow carts and absolutely do NOT think they should be nerfed in any way shape or form.

All this crying about arrow carts. I cannot believe Anet is actually listening to these few crying. I LOVE the changes to arrow carts. I do not think they should be changed one iota. They give an effective counter to the overwhelming zerg mindset that people have and separate those who can think and implement solutions from those who must ‘hulk smash!’

You want to change something? Balance thieves. Get rid of the entire stealth mechanic. Please don’t change arrow carts.

I notice that BP and EB are for the most part avoiding fighting each other and are concentrating on DR. I vacillate between being honored that you guys fear us so much that you must team up on us and smfh at how strange you look in the skirt and pig-tails..

I’ve been seeing exactly the opposite actually. At least in my timeslot. We’ve been kind of occupied with BP. You’re ALL opponents to me though, so I suppose it all depends on who is in front of me at the time. Usually BP, again. Since they seem to be the more agressive in my time of play. -Shrug-

Immediately following this post.. I saw that EB attacked BP and then BP went and returned the favor. This was in contrast to what I had seen so far. I have spent most of my time on the Eternal map this week and the cooperation between you two.. Well, I expected one of you to be pregnant.. That is, until right after I posted. I am glad I have to eat my previous words. This is a three way. A very close one. It’s a great fight and there is no need for 2 of us to form any kind of alliance to defeat the 3rd. Let’s enjoy this even match because once one of us moves out of this match-up.. it likely will be very uneven and not in our favor.

Pristine Fractals Useless

I have no idea why they would not place the fractal necklaces into the fractal vendor. I am at level 25 fractals. I have gotten several rings as drops and have purchased the back piece plus ascended plus infusion. I thought that the amulets would be purchasable with fractal tokens, it seemed logical to me. Now that the patch is out and the amulets weren’t added to the fractal vendor.. I’m going, ‘huh?’

My motivation, and I know this varies from person to person, but mine was to get better equipment than I have. I have done this. The only reason for me to continue to do fractals is for cosmetic purposes, i.e., the hope of a fractal skin and to upgrade the back piece to be shiny and glowy.

Making the ascended amulets available in the fractal vendor seems like an obvious thing to do. Is this going to happen and when? If not, why not?

Pristine tokens are for rings.. which are not that hard to get from doing dailies. And I’m not complaining at all about that part. I like that you can get them that way. What is the point of these hard to get and pretty useless pristine tokens? More rings which you can’t do anything with? No recipes other than infusing?

Just like James Games has every right to spend stupid amounts of gold on Goloms only to get them burned down walking around aimlessly. It’s his right. It’s your right to simply go have fun somewhere else and ignore him for existing.

I agree with that except…

James doesn’t spend HIS money. He gets other people to spend THEIR money on stupid amounts of useless golems. Now you may say it’s their right to do so. I would argue he is mostly taking advantage of people who don’t know any better. He also empties keeps of supply when he does that making them unable to withstand an attack. That is my problem with James’ use of stupid amounts of useless golems.

Just wanted to say. I have nothing to do with this. I am not a part of GASM and would never be. Believe me when I say I am the last person on earth to come to their defense, I also do not have a mesmer. However…

The mesmer probably could NOT waypoint out and could probably also not log out. Perhaps alt+f4 never occurred to him either. Here is why I think the former two are likely. The scenario presented of how he came to be stuck included combat. He was probably stuck in combat. He may not have been able to drop combat, may have accidentally targeted something or may never have left combat due to your presence. If you’re in combat you can’t waypoint and you can’t quit the game normally. The only way to break combat is to put enough distance between yourself and whatever is causing you to be in combat. Since he was stuck in a wall, he couldn’t go anywhere.

Being a commander in this game is like traveling back in time to high school. It’s a popularity contest for most of the participants and if you haven’t figured this out or need it explained to you then I have no idea what game you are playing. It isn’t WvW and it isn’t GW2. I can’t tell you how many kitten matches have occurred between people with command icons that I’ve witnessed and how often people think they are somehow more knowledgeable because they BOUGHT an icon.

You also greatly underestimate the lengths people go to in order to get their way or even to ‘win’. I don’t know that it was a group of people who set out to get him banned but I absolutely would not be surprised if that is what happened. That is the level of maturity and ego that is behind many who want and buy the icon.

Command should have been something EARNED. Not bought. A level of knowledge and familiarity with the game. As it is now, all you need to do is pony up 100 gold. There should also be a distinction between PVE and WvW commanders. I’ll stop there because I don’t want my post deleted for being off topic.

Any person who reports another person for language is a petty person. It is an OPTION to see language you apparently disapprove of. Unless someone is being a racist, why would you choose to see this language and THEN report the person for something you wanted to see? If you didn’t want to see it or if the person was avoiding the filter I can understand the report function.

You can kill people, drive a spike through their heart to finish them but you can’t swear? ANet and the people doing the reporting have kittened up morals anyway.

In this case, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an effort by some, and probably some noob commanders to get Morningstar out. He is very good at what he does and how he does it – he works hard and motivates people. We have many commanders now who are horrible as I have posted before. They spent most of their time in PVE. They don’t know a single thing about strategy. They don’t understand siege or where to place it. They know one thing. “If I put my icon on then people will come to me and I will instantly be Somebody. Because I have an icon, I know everything and you are wrong.” I have many commanders ignored because of this and because they have only lead karma trains around the map, ignoring situations which they could have averted with the people following them. As I said, most of the people on our server are just not smart, are inexperienced and lazy. Almost all are commanders just because of the ego boost it gives them. Many of our commanders are horrible. It was the FEW who made a huge difference. Take them out of the equation, Morningstar being one of them, and we suffer a tremendous amount. What you have left are mostly strutting peakittens with huge egos and zero sense of strategy. Well done kitten, well done.

In Tier 1, the notion of targeting commanders is simply unheard of…

Occasionally, we jest about the presence or positioning of a particular commander on the field, but a “chop-off-the-head” strategy is simply not pragmatic.

We generally have anywhere from 3-5 commanders in our primary zerg. At any given time, usually only two will typically have their pins turned on. Often the commanders are all in a “commander group” or party so we can always see each other on the map even when pin-off. This also has the side benefit of allowing the cmdrs to plan and execute in “layers” and marginalizes demoralizing tactical trolling (strategy debate) in open channel.

The map commander drives, the secondary pin (support commander) shadows the movements of the map commander and performs lead chat support (command relays). Special mission commanders can go pin-on at any time and ask for # of people to “x” up in chat and peel off the main force.

We don’t worry about the death of any commander. If the map pin dies, the secondary pin takes up point and one of the commanders that has been silent running (pin-off) goes pin-on. The map commander can literally lead from anywhere on the map. If he dies, he can go pin-off if he chooses, or if it was a nasty battle, he will might rally the dead to regroup. Dynamic conditions require dynamic reactions.

We have a “rule of three” where any command or directive is typically echo’d in chat by at least three people. There are several reasons for this but the detail probably exceeds reader stamina and is unnecessary to illustrate my point.

The map commander may ask in voip, “spam food pls” and at least three people will relay in /m and /t something like, “Refresh your food buffs… eat it if you got it.” Or he will say, “gimme TS spam” and at least three people will relay in /m and /t something like, “Join the commanders on the JQ server Teamspeak3 — jq.someaddress.com”… you get the point. We do the same for directives and commands too.

Another interesting trick…. if it looks like a wipe or for what ever reason the map requires a FULL rally, ALL commanders go PIN ON and WP (and everyone publishes the waypoint location in chat).

Do this often enough and you begin building a culture of continuity. Most zerglings are highly motivated to “not be different”, “to fit in”, “to be a roman in rome.” You condition them to tolerate (if not enjoy) the excitement of rapid state transitions. You should never fear the death of a commander or the consequences of a wipe.

Momentum allows you to exceed normal tolerances.

p.s. You may not always have 3-5 people on a map that have a commander pin. Performing leadership support doesn’t require a pin. In truth, some of the best commanders I run with perform better and deliver better results in a (pin-off) command support (shepherding) role.

I personally measure success by how often we don’t need to remind people about rule-of-three messaging. Sustainable pushes are rarely far behind.

Let me inject some sanity here.

Devona’s Rest as a server is not really special. We have at the moment, a lot of fair weather WvW’rs who are more than happy to hop into the fight or even to the server as we are winning.

Our server by and large is made up of people who are not very bright, very creative or particularly good at WvW in strategy. They are excellent at following the blue dot on the map though. They have poor reading skills and when they do read map chat, the chances of a troll being in the crowd is 90% and these trolls never travel alone. It is by and large the blue dot on the map which determines what Devona will be doing. We have very few good commanders. The remaining commanders are split between meaning well but not very strategic and cannot think beyond the one thing they know and repeat every time and the commanders who go to a map with their commander icon on just to take camps, sit in town or do the jumping puzzle. After all, they paid for the icon and they are damn well going to have it on all the time. The experienced voices without icons are mostly ignored until there are enough veterans on the map and THEN we get things done.

I was with Devona from the start. I will be here until the end. The middle has been a journey from holding our own in WvW, to not being able to hold a camp to holding the entire map. The journey is far from over and I think our hubris will become an issue as will our apathy.

There are periods in the day when no one on the map cares about the score, or holding a keep or has a clue what supply is for – nor do they care to do anything to help the team.

Apathy. Crushing the enemy is nearly as big a liability to the numbers we can field as being crushed is. I am doubtful we will move up to the next tier this week. I was doubtful at the beginning and until it happens I will remain so. Our score is slipping as fewer and fewer bother to come to WvW. I’m thinking we are here to stay for a bit Sorrow and Henge so we all might as well get comfortable with each other.

I have to laugh. The irony. Kaineng crying about people capping stuff when they are not on to defend. Just.. LOL!!

A. That was the Kaineng strategy just a few short weeks ago.

B. You STILL do most of your point gains during the week and at the times when you vastly outnumber Devona’s Rest. We lose far more in upgrades than you.

Second post that made me laugh at Kaineng complaining about capping going on while they weren’t on to defend.

My bad then. I thought it was pure points but someone was adamant that population was factored in. I accepted his version as truth. I guess I should not have. However, it does make sense. When we started to win, we had a large jump on points.. which would coincide to the transfers we received. Just as now Kain and Ferg have obviously gotten transfers as well. I’ll go back to thinking it’s just points but I will still hold onto the suspicion that it is also population..

If the gap grows between Devona and Kaineng (2nd place now) with Devona at 165,895 and -79.289 and Kain at 153,079 +37.474 then there should be a corresponding change there. And not forgotten, Ferg is currently at 135,792 and +34.311. That is the current score on that site, which btw, I had bookmarked already.

DR is losing about as many points this matchup as ET and HoD are. You’re expected to win by a fair spread as the 1st place server in a matchup. Given the current rate, it looks like it’ll take about 3 weeks.

I believe it is because DR seems to have lost population while FC and Kain have definitely grown in population. The score is reflecting that both current and the drop for us even though we will win and the increase for you even though you will lose. As was explained to me, the rating is score + population. It’s not what we are expected to do. It’s just math.

It keeps happening to me as well. I think someone is trying to get into my account and it boots me with that error. Would like to hear an official response on this issue please. I changed my password as a precaution as well. I would like to stop getting booted from the game though when someone tries to log in, if that is what is happening. The message that they are trying is valuable so don’t remove that indicator. Again, assuming that is why we are getting the error.

TRx want’s to thank the huge Kain zerg for the hours of epic battle with our 6 man crew between redbriar and (greenlake?) tonight… We had loads and loads of fun, hope you did as well..

I was actually just coming on here to mention how much fun that was holding the island against you guys while we hit Greenlake with siege. Taking out that tower took forever, thing had been fully upgraded and taunting us for hours.

You guys really made us work to get it, was good times.

It took you hours for you to take. Four attempts is what it took I believe. A friend claimed it and upgraded it and you know, you simply MUST respect the pink beaver!

Dear Kaineng,

You have more players than Devona’s Rest. When a party of 10 of us kills 20 of you but another 30 are behind that 20 and kills the 10 of us, why do you beat your chests and declare how great you are? When your capping zerg of 30+ comes to cap an extremely outmanned server at 7 to 8 AM EST, why do you think you’re the greatest since sliced bread? We have stopped that zerg cold before and with maybe 8 to 10 of us but it was not easy to do.

We have had some epic fights. These are not epic. You win at those times because you have more cannon fodder than we do. Give us an even battle and we wipe the floor with you and send you home crying to momma. We had many such even battles last week and we won handily. Now you have a larger population. The question is, is it just a weekend zerg and we will have even battles on the weekdays or is your population going to remain high?

When a party of 5 of us is assaulting your keep and killing you when you have us outnumbered, THAT is epic. That is worthy of chest beating but I see none from those of us who were there.

So relax the bs chest beating. You win ONLY because you have a higher population. So crow about how many more people you have. How you recruited people to go around an empty server and cap largely undefended structures. That is the story of Kaineng’s winning strategy.

I absolutely love that the orbs as they were have been removed. They were a mistake. It was obvious from the start of this game and many have said so. If and when they return it should be with some bonus or effect which does not affect the outcome of the game one way or the other – no stat bonuses.

If you are comparing Kaineng to Devona to Fergurson, you do NOT have a small population so stop saying that myth. I play many hours a day. I see your zergs, you out zerg Devona all the time.. and today was ridiculous in the amount of people you had vs Devona’s. At most times it was 2 to 1 in your favor.. When I stopped playing a short time ago it was at around 10 to 1. I was on Eternal for most of the night.. from start to when Devona finally lost our keep to a massive zerg with 5 defenders in the keep. Kind of puts a damper on your chest thumping, or at least it should.

I did see the outmanned buff on Ferg for some of the fight but I have no idea why, they had so many people fielded when I saw the buff that I find it hard to believe they were outmanned in any way.

No. Fergs definitely glitched the orb and definitely on purpose. The altar was broken by NPC’s. The orb was on the ground. It was picked up and I saw on the map, the orb move around. Then the person holding the orb glitched it. The timer for reset went away. We took the keep moments later. The altar was in pieces. The orb was and is still counted toward’s Ferg. Cheating. Plain and simple. Intentional and I don’t want to hear your cries of false accusation. It’s the truth. Both you and we know it is the case that you guys glitch orbs all the time. You cannot stand to lose so you cheat to win. I understand how afraid you are of the little server that could but lose the skirts already… Fergurson.. where all the little girls play.

Fergs cannot win without cheating. Period. Your server is a joke. Our orb was taken by Fergs. It fell on the ground while Fergs had it. One of them picked it up and glitched it. We retook the keep the orb was at but the Fergs still have the orb counted for them. Many Fergs log out to avoid death too. Cowards and little girls is what you are.

In case you guys took me seriously, Kaineng has never worked together with ferg OR ANY OTHER SERVER EVER. I’ve been here from Day 1, so trust me

I was trying to be funny, but if you haven’t been in our bracket for more than a week I guess it isn’t funny

It’s purely coincidental if it looks like 2 teams are working together, those pics were just a one time occurrence when we are making no headway on inner gate, we see DR on the outer gate not aware we took the water gate down…so we all run to defend the gate for fun, LOL.

PS: DR has also never worked together with ferg/borlis/nsp/green team either. Fact: Our bracket has been server-alliance free since launch

Your “facts” are anything but. I PERSONALLY brokered an alliance. Look at the PSA from Kaineng which started your rise from dead last to.. um.. 2nd to dead last due to the bold faced lies and really good salesmanship. Selling your server as great and your team as awesome when it was anything but. Kudos to the master of bull who penned that. You managed to pull in lots of level geared level 80’s and win. But I digress.

We, meaning Devona and Kaineng, made an alliance. We agreed to both attack green’s map at the same time. One from the West and one from the East and to not attack each other. I will admit that not enough Devonians came to the fight for us to do anything except pull 20 or so green. Kaineng however did manage to dominate the Eastern side of Ferg’s map. Apparently not all Kaineng were in on this arrangement. When the game reset Kaineng made a beeline for our orb. That is the day that hatred, pure and simple, swelled on our server for Kaineng. When Kaineng again contacted me for another day of cooperation in attacking green, I ignored you. I kill Kain with great joy now. I absolutely LOVE spiking every last mother@#$$@# of you.

As for Fergs.

I had a Ferg message me yesterday asking why I had danced on his friend’s corpse when we had killed him in a 3 on 1 or whatever the numbers were. I actually hadn’t been the one to dance on him, a guildmate had and as I told him, I wish I had. I do so whenever it occurs to me. My nuts have been in your faces many times. You have the unmitigated gall to complain about being outnumbered? Really? Ferg does nothing but outzerg us. EVER! The only time you get anywhere is when you outnumber us. When you controlled our map it was because you outnumbered us, both past and present. So I feel nothing but joy when we outnumber you and give you a taste of what it feels like. And this joy causes me to spontaneously drop nuts in your faces and dance like a mad king!

For the record, Devona HAS won before. They just were not the week long ones. We don’t have the WvW manpower other servers do and never have. It didn’t help that several guilds left the server around the time of the change to the week long match ups either.

I have seen at least two players do impossible stuff. Moving insanely fast. Zipping from here to there to there to there. A warrior just decimated a 10 person group pretty much single handed. He was speeding the entire time. No cool down between skill use – and he was using the same skills over and over to kill each of us in rapid fire succession. Afterwards he went zipping out of the area as well. There is nothing to report this in the pull down menu. The closest I thought was, ‘scamming’ which doesn’t even cover it.

There are also major balancing issues. You MUST nerf the infinite invisibility of thieves. 1 character should not have the ability to kill 20 other characters at will. It is ridiculous. The ability of mesmers to spam doubles is also extremely overpowered.

I am a member of Devona’s Rest. I have been trying to get people on my server to not attack Kaineng. Sometimes people listen. It does not help my cause when Kaineng attacks us from behind, killing all, after we have seen you and passed up the opportunity to wipe you all out.

We two servers need to form a truce. We are never going to beat which ever 3rd server they put us against if we attack each other. What is true of my server is most of the people who care for anything other than exp’ing against the NPC’s have left for other servers. The rabble that is left is fickle and either can’t understand strategy or don’t care about anything except going to capture the next supply for exp.

Hopefully if Kaineng starts avoiding us and we avoid you.. together we can take and hold territory which currently is impossible vs the more populated servers.

Still bugged. I tried to complete this quest. I managed to survive through all the respawning undead craziness which is absolutely insane. I have no idea how I didn’t die as my health was down to double digits.
Traherne didn’t die I don’t think. I wasn’t aware I should be watching him so I can’t say for certain. NPC’s definitely were down, and lots of them but I don’t know which ones. Again, I wasn’t keeping track, I was trying to stay alive and kill hordes of undead who incessantly and relentlessly swarmed me.

Anyway. Reached the second group. Cleared mobs enough to talk to them. After I spoke to the quest NPC only Treherne would follow me. The other NPC’s moved out of that spot just to kill some mobs which were left and came close to them then went right back. I cleared the rest with Treherne and now their is a bone wall which I can’t get past and the NPC’s will not follow me. There are no more dialogue options.

I will give up on my personal story until this is fixed.

Mine is an asura and has also experienced this bug although the face is red, not black. I tried removing the helm and putting it back on.
I tried to fix it by relogging.

I tried removing helm and relogging before putting it back on.

I tried putting a completely different helm on and changing the colors of the helm to white.

I tried changing the entire outfit to white and relogging.

None of these things worked.

Also, other people see it as red as well.

I don’t know if this is intended or not. I have a weapon which increases my stat for damage per kill up to 25 times. I forget the name. I don’t have the game open right now. If my character goes down, I lose the buff. That’s fine. Working as advertised. What isn’t working as advertised is when I go into say, story mode. My stacks disappear. Kind of annoying. I don’t know if this is true for all buffs or even all stacking buffs. I only know it is true of mine.

Forewarned is Forearmed quest reward is a ring. There were 3 choices of rings. When the ring is shown, it has a jewel inside. After choosing one, I exited the instanced quest dungeon and looked at the ring in my inventory. There is no jewel. I put a link into text and it shows the jewel however it is not really there!
