Yeah it is a big loss to AoE damage with Mantra of pain, as well as a loss in healing with Mantra of Recovery, and loss in the other mantras as well.
This needs to be fixed. So I hope someone from Arenanet is seeing this post that plays Mesmer and also wants it fixed.

Harmonious Mantras says it gives an additional charge. So I cast my mantras and get the 3 charges instead of 2, but without even using the mantras they will loose a charge and go back to 2. Is that intended?

I logged in with a level 1 character I wanted to delete, and saw my mail had 2. I never opened my ingame mail, then logged out and deleted the level 1 character. I logged in with another character that I am leveling and i have no new mail. Those 2 mails are now gone and I never opened them. So I do not have the 20%. I sent in a bug report.

Yes I am experiencing the same. I just made a new Charr warrior last night and when I was building my weapon skills up, I noticed this and logged off. IT looks AWFUL!!!

they are both very fun to play but i perfer the little guys cause there story line is more fun to me. the Charr story line is cool as well but feels more army like.
thats really the choice i made because of the story line.
