I also build up materials to sell or I up their tier in mystic forge to sell them. Essentially it is not about drops as a total. The problem I see is the balance between the various ways to make money. Crafting, gathering materials, selling drops, and gold from foes should all balance out. I know there are ideas about what is intended as normal GW2 game play and it has been suggested many times that mob grinding has been purposely hindered. If a person goes out to kill monsters in hopes of selling the drops it should provide income comparable to the guy in town crafting armor, or the person gathering the mats he needs. Market saturation would hopefully keep people from farming one thing and not moving around. The synergy forms an economy where everyone makes money doing what they enjoy. The problem with a complex problem is it practically never has an easy answer. At the current game state the bulk of profitable things to do are limited to discovering the thing very few people are doing and just monopolizing on a esoteric or overlooked income. If everyone does what makes you money it wont make you money. The various ways to make money in this game need to be synergized. If Crafters don’t make money, mats become mostly for Legendaries and only those needed for rare items are worthwhile. Whites and blues are worthless because they play no part in providing Crafters who are making many items at a loss. Your drops are average or decent just nobody needs 90% of the stuff you get as it is set up currently. I honestly think they know this and the new update coming out is trying to balance the problem.
I agree roaming foes were neat. There is small groups in this game that move around, specifically bandits and centaurs. The group outside one of the camps in Harathi Hinterlands for example. There are a few mob pops like if you smash a body or do some things. I can see where the element is still in the game to a degree. What is said above is very true based on the changes in the play style of this game. The Events to a degree attempt to make you feel like things are not just spaced out waiting to be killed and actually involved in a skirmish. Maybe they just need more idle animations other than pacing 12 feet then bobbing in one spot.
@kalarchris "AI in GW1 wasn’t always that good. " lol Body blocking with a PermaSin

@OP- I would guess it is limited just like all the other content so far. Perhaps if they re-purpose the zone it would work. I seriously doubt they will though.
@ the Orr Question -My understanding is we destroyed the eyes to blind and weaken the hive mind of the undead. The mouth to weaken Zhaitan himself. From the way it all seems destroying him was same as Great Destroyer was in first game. You remove him and the Destroyers were still there but not being created (theoretically of course until the dragon fully awakened). Undead I am sure are the same but Orr is cursed so maybe there is more to the Undead then just Zhaitan. The Undead in the game predate the dragons if you take into account the Desert in GW1 and catacombs.
I would guess it is from Commissar Szeged
Commissar Szeged or a dredge boss that is a part of the " Kill the dredge Commissar overseeing the mine" Event. I would put my money on it being a Dredge because the title is used mostly by dredge in the game. Collar of the First Commissar is an Ascended from the first free Dredge.
I guess we should start a new theories post.

In a game with no subscription people come and go, and then come back again. This might seem unusual to those who played games that had much longer to obtain goals or subscription models.
That being said I came to GW2 from the original Guild Wars as part of an alliance of around 100 people in 4 active guilds. Many of these people built new Computers to handle the game and were dedicated GW players. We are down to 3 that log in now and I have not in about 2 weeks.
Changes need to be made and many of us are carefully watching these updates. I know that the forums get a tad hostile to anyone who has things to say that are “bad” without it being notarized and submitted like a criminal trial. I am using Inductive reasoning here that is a loose science. Please know that it is my honest view and not an attempt to mangle this games image. The player base is declining, and I hope it is recovered. I want to see that happen. Just remember not to be hostile towards people in the forums and that will go a long way in you helping preserve this game.
I am wondering if there is a way to access the Tomb of Morlog in Dreadgehaunt Cliffs. I have killed many bosses in hopes of uncovering this weapon and I keep getting drawn back to this.
“Hierophant Morlog is endeavoring to learn the true name of the Great Destroyer and bring about a calamity to the world.
He is currently exploring the ruins of the Stone Basilica for the Tome of the Rubicon with a group of Summit Taskmasters. The Tome is said to contain the name of the Great Destroyer.”
He was a stone summit Mesmer who hunted relics. I don’t want to assume too much but based on Gargoyles in Guild wars 1 a Mesmer Boss seems very likely.
Despite people arguing over if drops have been changed, if there is loot bugs, or perceived changes. Despite Arena net’s stance that they have not done so. The one truth that I see is many people feel the reward in this game as far as drops from Kills and chest is minimal at best. The token system and Vendors replace many of the open world loot items. I am sure the intent was to limit grinding and reward players gradually for normal activity. The problem with that is when monsters rarely drop anything, and when quest rarely provide more than junk items there is little reason to do them. DR bug or not this system needs to be worked over and has been a flawed part of the GW2 experience.
You can go to options and change the key bind, or disable it for linking skills I believe (F11) You could change the keybind for your Ventrillo, or lastly just switch to party chat when in party and they will show up there.
- DR overhaul.
- Abilities such as magic find are now shared by a group until the player is no longer in the party. The highest level on a single player will be party wide, non stacking.
- Tie in loot drops to specific bosses, areas and events to give players direction in their hunts.
- Remove the ability to sell Precursers and Legendary weapons while making them easier to obtain.
- Kicks in Dungeons would be part of a report function if player was still online, and in same instance/zone to prevent griefing.
- Alliances, Alliance chat, and Alliance halls that would function as a hub with a free waypoint would be added.
- Daily and monthly would focus around areas in pve, and wvw and not kill types or general task. (such as assist the people of " insert area" as a daily- or Helping a Npc in WvW capture or defend certain objectives)
- Adjustments to make builds within all classes viable by adjusting weaker weapons or skills.
-Equipment added to help build diversity in ascended range to cover several armor types.
- Make all ascended gear craft-able.
- Redesign mystic forge -100% chance for a new set of items requiring mastery in multiple craft disciplines, as well as Gear upgrading. This change would give the ability to upgrade an armor to the next tier using Multiple Crafts plus materials or create new items unique to the Forge that require mastery in 2-4 craft disciplines.
- Improve the search and party search ability to have a comment section and be cross server.
- Re-introduce the “design a weapon” contest, offer exclusive private beta test spots for new content to Helpful and active members of the game community to insure new content was ready and enjoyable.
- Add an ambassador system so current players could be rewarded for helping new players with content.

Because the npc couldn’t find a party to do the dungeon.
haha!
Perhaps being a member of the Sylvari not effected by Nightmare she chooses not to wear their armor as a support the home team standard. Maybe she sees the sword as being a trophy and the armor as a uniform. In all seriousness I would think it was a uncorrected filler, a NPC who was tossed into a armor due to a glitch or some reasoning. Maybe the armor was not finished at the time the level designer was placing the NPC. I think for the most part I would rather them focus on important issues and I can pretend this faceless Seller of goods has a personality that all the others lack.
You see a Food in a grocery store and want to buy it because it is much cheaper than the Trading Post.
You buy lots of Halloween candy hoping to mark it up later and resale it.
You call someone “Bookah”.
You start using “kitten” as a replacement word in conversation.
They are the same birds from the Rune of the Flock. Looks like a herd of Seagulls.
Yes I have had a problem with this sword not being animated as well. I believe there is also a problem with the size of the pistol for non asura.
