I thought this too, and with how much the development of your character was story based why not reward players with story unlocked skills. nothing too serious so the players who prefer to grind wont be left out, but if my story takes a dark path I feel my combat style should reflect that.
as an ele I would like to see a second weap slot. I like to sit back and light up enemies with a staff, but when I get rushed I would much rather be able to swap to my daggers, pick them off quickly, and launch right back into throwing some AoE. Having to run around like an idiot and kite the 1 or 2 guys that break off from the group is such a hassle. Let me have my daggs, take em out within the 10 secs and not run my dps into the ground. plz plz plz ANet
Even having to pay for training to unlock the 2nd set I would gladly settle with.
Edit: oh and btw weap swap for 1-2 extra slots?! stop being cheap and buy bigger bags.
2nd: swap “ONLY out of combat and if necessary with a longer cool down timer.” NO! … … no! Bad CyberSteve

Love this idea! With all the vanishing and mind play involved with this class it has always felt really assassin-ish to me, and an assassin without his/her weapon of choice seems just disgraceful.
I would kill to play Hylek! I love the rarely used “frog/lizzard men” races. Even back in the old d&d days they were always my top pick!
I know its not really a big deal but when switching back to the trading post from another tab you are brought back to a home screen with top: valued, supplied, demanded and traded items.
again, not a big deal but it would be a nice simple UI touch-up for a useful tool.
(proposed screen shot below)
“Recent Items” across the bottom and a “History” drop down right next to “Show Filters”

but i worry about the KDR freaks that this would create, even if it only show your own deaths.
Hmmmm… Agreed. That would be the one thing I would worry about. I’ve seen too many pvp systems fall to people who put more focus on their KDR then actually winning.
here here! I private dueling system or private arenas would be amazing!
Yes! I am a huge fanatic of PvP and it seems just wrong that the only details you get are kills and points earned.
Where are my deaths, damage done, healing done, average life span, kill streaks, assists?
Just something to view in between matches to graph how I’m doing. If one strategy is better then another or even how beneficial a slight switch of runes is.
Edit: I realize that not everyone is so interested in such things, so why not a “details” button that shows a complete list of how you fared in the match compared to others.

I’m just hoping GW2 doesn’t take the Blizzard approach and make all those items, which took millions of grueling hours of farming to get, COMPLETELY obsolete with every drop of new content.
Any Ideas on how to fix this issue. I’ve heard a LOT of “fixes” but so far none seem to do the job.
- Run as Admin
- Delete “local.dat” file
- Disable all firewalls
- run Gw2.exe -repair
- Language switch in in-game options menu
- running compatibility mode
- updated all current Root Certificates For Windows
Running XP SP3
all system specs surpass the required
any help would be greatly appreciated
I’m facing a similar problem and having no luck. But I hear if you are seeing a loading icon then the following should solve it:
- Right click GW2.exe and run as Admin
- Open your GW2 folder and delete “local.dat” file
- Disable firewall (could rupture the link between the BLTC)
- run Gw2.exe -repair
- With BLTC window open pull up the options menu and switch the language
- Right click on GW2.exe, click properties, compatibility, check the compatibility mode box and select which copy of windows you are currently using.
- update all current Root Certificates For Windows (GW2 requires at least Service Pack 2)
let me know if that helped at all, I am still investigating this matter and trying to solve all possible issues.
