It’s very common, so always forge in batches of two or more.
The forge is pseudorandom.

Hey Stefan,

Yes it was still stuck, for me at 34MB.
Adding the one time argument -assetsrv drwkwiejruot6.cloudfront.net fixed it, with only a 3MB or so download required.
Subsequent start up of the client worked fine, no extra text required.

Still borked, so that’s the whole weekend now.
Stuck at 34MB, Australia.
VPN is not an acceptable solution. Disappointing.

Not at $50 US for some living story + gimicks. Since it isn’t released in a box there is no chance of getting it on discount in my local currency either.
Would have preferred a solid map expansion with basic content in Elona or Cantha.
Have gone back to playing GW1 for a while. So much content left to do…

Norn Female, Ranger
Luminescent armour skin (full set over emblazoned armour) with holographic shattered dragon wings.

Character becomes translucent and leaves a glowing trail. Observed in Malchors Leap and Cursed Shore, but especially around Lights Waypoint.
Viewable on my game client and by others. Ends on its own and not a show stopper.

“Escort Magister Izzmek to the site of the second signal beacon” event in Cursed Shore has been stuck at the first beacon for days now.
Please help the little guy out.

Black Screen of Death

Bumping this up.
This black screen problem happens lot. It’s really annoying.
I’ve had it on three different graphics cards over two systems with multiple driver versions etc etc. The only solution is to shutdown GW2 from windows and restart.
10 months and no fix yet?

Gathering tools not appearing in the Hero: Equipment panel.
Tools can only be changed or equipped by dragging directly from the inventory window onto the tool slot. Tools cannot be dragged from the tool slot into the Equipment panel either.
Broken only recently.

I’m with Optus cable. Others were reporting similar issues with latency and packet loss across the board from the Asia Pacific region to the US and Europe, whether on ADSL, NBN or whatever. Definitely an upstream routing issue.

My mate on Internode was playing OK last night, so must be routed through a different path.

GW2 seems to be working normally now, with average pings around 240ms.

Well good morning.
It’s still flaky. Had multiple failed attempts to log in but managed to get in finally.
Game is reporting average pings above 500 ms, although for Aus that is not unusual

Managed to log in to Lions Arch, but the screen went black except for the options menu. Get this:

Spammy User Agreement page tricks users

The latest update forces the user to a page to check the user agreement.
The “I Agree” button is greyed out – until the user checks the box to receive marketing and communications from ANet. The greyed out “I Agree” button can be clicked on to proceed, but that is not obvious.
It’s clear that this page is intended to be misleading and to trick users into signing up for marketing.
There is no way of unsubscribing from communications in the user account profile.
Anet is being incredibly disrespectful to your customers by engaging in such deceitful marketing practices.
Note that in Australia at least this is probably illegal under the Spam act. Anet legal needs to look at this.
