Great game that isn’t casual friendly at all. Anet seems greedy.

I’ve never played with or against you guys since I’m in NA T2, but welcome back to the game. May you and your guild kick some serious kitten.

Additionally, I wonder if this game is just the only decent pvp game right now. Seems like we have a revolving door of players, not meant in a negative way at all, but I wonder if or when someone will release another good pvp/realm v realm type game? If I’m not mistaken, people in this thread think ESO is crap.. I was kind of hoping it would be good!

Look, we get it. NOPE is like any other large guild. You guys run 20-30 (plus pugs) and are very organized. You consider AoN a bug that you can squash, which you can, since we run 7-8 most nights. No one is saying anything to the contrary.

But just stop with the “AoN runs from even numbers.” We had an informal GvG against EMP/HzH a while back and beat them 7v10 without having a single downed. We beat GF with lesser numbers multiple times when they were on EBay. The only guild that has given us trouble recently with even numbers is Anonymous Defender (hopefully they hold as high of an opinion of us as we do of them).

Anyway, just stop. No one who has played WvW for more than a month is going to believe the ridiculous garbage you posted.

I just wanna add that spock is not a NOPE member, but seems to just be a fan I’m not sure what the obsession with 5v5’s is honestly…it’s not that I’m against them, I just don’t see the fun in preset numbered “get ready, set GO” kind of fights. WvW (WORLD vs WORLD) to me has always been more fun as large scale warfare, taking keeps, getting ganked, ambushed, etc: 5v5’s is why I go to tpvp. (Yes I know they’re different, but the fighting should essentially be the same if you’re doing well because of SKILL, rather than builds or food). I’ve also never understood the argument: “If you run with more than _ people in WvW, you must be bad.” Or.. “If you run from a fight you must be bad”. I’ve seen people from TC, Mag and FA all run from fights, it’s just part of the game (though I do feel like using the tonics is just as cheesy and lame as guilds leaving mesmers by the watergrate in Bay…)

That being said, if any AoN wants to 1v1 me for fun (or anyone for that matter) just drop me a tell and I’ll meet them I do like doing 1v1’s since I test out new builds that way.

I’m TC militia. Basically, a nobody in the eyes of most people. I’m just calling it like I see it. I do know that NOPE has come and saved our kitten numerous times in TCBL. As has CERN, DIS, NAGA, and PiNK. I’ve seen the AoN tonic use firsthand though. I edited out the mean comments – as I was being too negative.

@Winkin – I run with the commanders I find to be the best. That makes me the trashy player you guys love to kill. I’ve never joined a big guild as I like the freedom of choice to roam with whoever I want to, from small single group teams to large zergs.

First, no where did I state you had large numbers. My experience with you is always less than 10 people, usually around 6. I did, however, state that you gank stragglers. You are quite good at it, as well as kiting a zerg and then killing the straggers that over-extend. That is my issue. I don’t see you doing GvG against even numbers of organized players. I see you gank loners and pugs. Then you brag about it here. When you get in trouble, you run away with tonics. I don’t see other guilds on FA or Mag or anywhere else do it. Just AoN. Am I making that part up?

If you are going to call out some of our guilds, then you are going to get called out in return. I have never seen your guild do anything but grief. Prove me wrong, I would be happy to give you the respect you think you deserve.

P.S. We had an FA team hold our north camp for 45 minutes on TCBL one night. Just a single group. Excellent players. When they lost it they didn’t tonic up and run away. I think they were from RET. I’ve seen Ark hold the north camp and take larger groups too…

I like the idea of being able to use them in MF recipes. I also have a ton of these in my bank and no low level alts to use them on, nor do I plan on making any, so ya… totally useless for me too.

So ANet, how about it? Can we find some other way to use these or ?

This is my situation. I usually don’t post very much and I’m not trying to complain, but these stones are stacking up and I have four level 80s. I’m not leveling any more alts and I would like to find a use for them. If we can’t have level 80 stones, at least let us do something with these stones that are taking space.

One stone from a random daily reward won’t break their bank. They are making a ton of money. I like the idea of being able to merge a pile of them into a level 80 stone.

P.S. I don’t remember anything about the store in the manifesto.

Why is it that I can never get a useful transmutation stone for my level 80? These lower stones are worthless and pile up in my bank. I can’t use them for anything. Please consider changing these to the high stones that are actually worthwhile for characters that are level 80.

I doubt that. You tried to push us on bridge, on the inner walls, outer walls, outside your S gate, inside SW camp, and NN camp at least 3-4 times each. Every time save the last inner walls push when we bailed we wiped at least half of your zerg before the rest ran and hid.

Sorry kid, TC got farmed hard.

This is so entertaining. I was there in the keep and I seem to remember most of NOPE had crashed for the night and the few CERN there were leftovers from EB who couldn’t get in and were basically following a tag with militia. We had about half your numbers (and often less than half) and you Mag folks couldn’t siege the keep. Instead, you wanted to lure us out to fight us in the open field where we were clearly outnumbered. When that proved a failure, you tried to siege Bay and got your face rubbed into the dirt. At no time was the keep in any real danger.

Be a real forum warrior and at least provide real facts to back the story up!

Finally, CERN and NOPE players are the finest players I’ve had the pleasure to play with. You folks trying to bad mouth them just seem like sore losers. Keep it up though, as I know for a fact that it is always better to be underestimated in a fight. I guess with the forums closing in just a few days the forum warriors will go to great lengths to get their stories out.

Looking for a build with decent damage and survivability for WvW. I run in small groups or zerging with my guild. I don’t solo much. Anyone have a good build to share?

I didn’t play reset at all buy I’m guessing TC blobbed up into a huge queue zerg in multiple BLs and tried to overwhelm everyone with huge numbers, and FA ran around trying to imitate that strat but generally failed with it. Mag ran around with roaming groups trolling both TC and FA at the same time, hopefully letting TC or FA do the work of getting the door down on a tower/keep then jamming them from behind and taking it for themselves, afterwards spamming laugh, throwing rams, etc. Also some NN action pulling queue blobs to protect the camp from 4-5 people.

Then TC had a good 5-6 hours of uncontested PvD to take the lead and declare themselves the best server of the match-up.

Throw in a few “roaming” TC/FA guilds that use mostly PVT as their standard of gear and you got yourselves a typical TC/FA/Mag reset night.

Yeah that was me you spiked. Trying out a new build and its a little more squishy than intended. On the flip side, the commander told everyone to ignore you, including me, but by the time I turned around you had popped every cooldown in the book and I was dead. It was nice watching 5 or so people take another minute to kill you. I don’t feel too bad about it.

@Linc – I like your build and how you balanced it.

No complaints here. FA deserves the win this week. They put in a solid showing, had better coverage, and didn’t need to rely on SoS’ help to earn the win on their own. This has been one of the most balanced weeks since the game came out in my opinion. FA didn’t display any higher skills in combat, but they did display solid tactics and use of their good coverage to keep the PPT going strong.

For TC, I’m looking forward to a new week starting tomorrow and to see our commanders out there in force.

I’ve always been a power-based engineer with a shotgun. I’ve been collecting a full set of exotic cleric’s gear and was wondering if someone could give me a great WvW support build. This would be for zerging, since I have a really nice set of gear already for roaming, I have another build for that already that I am very happy with.

I’m hoping the best support builds aren’t running around dropping heal bombs because I find that boring as heck. Any help is greatly appreciated!

LOL, love these people explaining it away now. A year ago people were gung ho against this type of thing and now you have all these PVE lovers in here defending it. This is a silly system that isn’t casual or alt-friendly. Still, as evidenced by the posts above, some people are happy with it. More power to them, but my guess is the numbers will begin to drop in this game soon.

No, we are still here. Im still here for another few months, maybe 3 or so..to see where this all goes. To see if the CDI discussions are visceral and have any real impact on the game in three months(because if you cannot change your direction in 3 months, thats bad…especially when its simple things like “reduce the amount of achievements to grind for the LS metas”(come on…).

So, another few months for me(I am having fun right now, aside from ascended grind). In three months or so, I’ll re-kitten and see how close Wildstar is to release.

I suppose its a good idea to see how it works out. I just don’t have much confidence in it. I know the bottom line is making money, but it seems that priority is so far ahead of everything else to this company, that they are ruining the game for many people. I’m going to play some of these games I missed while playing this one until I decide if I even want to play MMOs anymore. Glad to see some like-minded folks are still around.

If you kittens want to ‘actually play the game’ come to Mag bl and fight with us. You guys have almost no presence right now, really boring; this is why things like “karma train” are brought up.

The only reason Karma trains can be brought up is because you want to read a book and play the game as the same time, or you have trouble getting to sleep and you need something incredibly boring to drive you in that direction.

You could of course disperse your blob to fight what is available rather then QQ, but that is pretty scary. Someone might be responsible for their play!

TC does not need to pretend because TC isn’t a ppt server but a mixed server looking for PPT, fights, havok, ankitten. WE have a little bit of everything here.

A mix of the above incidentally gives you high ppt, but it’s not a direct goal.

What you mostly have are PPT heroes, tower hugging siege monkeys, and big blobs.That is who TC has always been and it works well for the PPT game, why start claiming otherwise now?

To all the TC who feel it’s appropriate to kick SoR when we’re down:
A) Weren’t TC folk supposed to be nice? o_O
B) If we do crumble, who exactly do you think will take our place? SoS? Mags? I sure hope you don’t this turn attitude you’re showing onto yourselves if/when you get stuck with BG/JQ repeatedly in the future and play third wheel.
SoR falling apart is bad for more than our just our server. The more logical people on BG and JQ have also stated as much. If SoR were struggling due to guild migration, this might be remedied, but we’re suffering attrition. People are reducing their gameplay. No one is going to gobble up our power and rise to T1; things will get destabilized.

SoR is fine IMO. We’re getting 2v1’d hardcore but the good thing about that is that it is bringing us some of the best fights we’ve had in a while. I know at least my guild is profiting heavily off of the insane amount of bag donations that JQ specifically has donated on JQ BL the past 3 nights.

I guess you forgot all the times your server trolled us both in game and out. You guys didn’t just kick us (TC) when we were down, you cut us to pieces and then laughed about it here on the boards.

Honestly, I don’t care if you guys take 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. I think this is a blast. Just now, defending TCBL garrison against two awesome servers and holding out for hours. THAT is the stuff legends are made of. In the end, you had to help JQ take it… Literally. The problem with SoR, and I think many TC players feel this way, is you always talked smack about us and never gave us any credit for being a good server.

I don’t think its good for the game that any of these servers lose population, or people server-jump. I’ve been on TC since beta and I’m not going anywhere, even if we end up at the bottom of the heap. You won’t find many posts by me either – I barely ever come to the boards. Hope you SoR guys stick together and keep playing. Seriously. Have fun. Thats what we are supposed to do.
