I do not like Scarlet Briar.
We voted for Thaumanova. We didn’t vote for Scarlet.
We voted for asura lore. We got Scarlet.
The worst possible choice, that’s who.
Come on guys. Enough of Scarlet. Enough of destroying asuran lore with this ridiculous sue character. Please. Please.
I could list the reasons why this was a bad idea. But other threads have done this already. My only thing to say is, as an asura player that loves their society and lore and history?
You are killing them for me.
Another very important sylvari character then that has extreme skills in lots of things.
Tell me why choosing to have this villain be a sylvari is better than having them be, say, an asura? Why a sylvari again, after Canach? Can we have a villain that’s not a sylvari?
Oh, also? “Eeeeveryone’s heard about Scarlet!”
Well I haven’t. No one has since before today. And it makes believing this character is capable of graduating from the three colleges of the most intelligent race in Tyria in under 20 years very difficult.
(Asura are mammals, jus’ sayin’ ;P)
It’s not the best in terms of composition, but I like the character design and, of course, that’s Dynamics in the background and Dynamics is the best.
8/10 for good character design and Dynamics.
And here’s my entry:

Hahahaha, oh that’s a good one! You actually had me fooled for a moment.
This is an excellent guide, Dinny! Do you mind if I post a link to it on the GW2RP forums? You’ll be credited (very obviously, in big bold red font). We could really do with this kind of info there.
Ganddalff the #666666. He does not arrive late, nor does he arrive late, he arrives precisely when he means to, to the nearest 0.07 percentile.
7/10
Mine is the smug male second from the left.
“When Guild Wars 2 launches, you will also have the option to play with your friends on another world with our free “guesting” feature. With guesting, your characters can play on any world where you have friends—with certain restrictions. For instance, you will not be able to participate in WvW while guesting.”

Truths – Can’t participate in WvW.
Falsehoods – At launch
Any world
The RPing community chose Piken Square and Tarnished Coast as unofficial RP servers because we knew, thanks to quotes like this, guesting would let us play together.
Now we’re sorely disappointed.
I don’t see any problem with this. It’s not like you’re changing the whole guild name or anything.

With guild bonuses being a very integral part of the game, you’d guess that this would be something GMs could do at the get-go. If that’s not the case, it needs to be.
Ampca’s concerns about it being abused to overthrow guilds is credible, but I’m sure that can be solved if the request is made by many members of the guild, while the guild leader has been offline for some time (perhaps a month or so).

It seems my Pact Avenger of Rage has turned into a low res mesh, as far as I can tell, designed for distant rendering.
I transmuted it with a Ceremonial Scimitar of Rage and it came out like this, although I can’t say for certain if it was like this before I transmuted it since I hadn’t had a good look at it after the patch.
The most obvious difference is the lack of the gear at the hilt of the blade, but the entire sword is also more splodgey and undefined.

This issue is still occuring, disconnecting the player from the chat servers, making guilds appear empty and without custom emblem designs and unable to use chat channels. The login server pop up occurs every now and then when the game seems to have, for a brief second, reconnected to the chat servers, disconnecting very quickly after again.
This is happening to multiple people at once, possibly across the entire server (Tarnished Coast)
First world problems, much? The accents I hear aren’t mine, golem can be go-lem or gol-em and it’s really not important. I don’t see the beef with the voice acting, myself. Seems to do just fine from where I’m standing (listening)
What Kita said, basically. All the Cultural armours have three toed boots, or no toed foot wraps. It’s a bit annoying, but hardly something I’mma kick a fuss about.
They tried to log in, but because of the email ISP verification, it stopped them. If they’re in game, it also means they have access to your email address to confirm their ISP.
In other words, you have a keylogger.
The Arcane Council doesn’t give a hoot what goes on outside of Rata Sum. The Inquest could blow up half of Metrica Province, but its only krewes in Metrica, not working for the Council. So why should they care?
The Asura barely have a government at all. Krewes are expected to keep themselves in order. If they can’t protect themselves from Inquest attacks, it’s their fault. If the Inquest can’t protect themselves from retaliation, it’s their fault. It’s a loose state of individual society. The very first conversation you have is about how ineffectual the Peacemakers are. You basically beat the Arcane Eye to death but the Council doesn’t punish you for it, because they were too weak to stop it. You can consider the Council and the Arcane Eye to be its own large krewe, the krewe devoted to the maintenance and safekeeping of Rata Sum and Rata Sum alone.
Be loyal to your krewe. You don’t have to be loyal to anything else.
Here’s Spokko, my Asura warrior, now level 61, standing dramatically in front of a vista of Rata Sum.
That’s how I roll.
