You probably got a string of terrible RNG. Petrified wood nodes are like BF’s bloodstone nodes; ascended mats are the primary resource, with a chance at the map’s currency. As backwards as it seems regarding wood nodes.
They’ve already got a level of phasing in the new map [the Dwarven machines that, iirc, stay activated for you after activating them but, obviously, not for anyone who hasn’t done so] and part of the point of the map might have been testing that tech. Since Tarir is probably going to have a higher significance in the next part, this tech might get ported over to an update there, who knows.
I have a feeling we’re going to see Vikon again. Mostly because he got a name. Named NPCs are always important.
He’s cute, named, and endearing.
He gon’ die.
Obviously that means we’re all speaking Quaggan.
…On topic: Bloodstone Fen is a great map…and it’s addictive too.
That’s a symptom of bloodstone and/or magic addiction. In time, there will undoubtedly be a detox clinic set up in Tyria but for now, you may want to limit your exposure. If you’re seeing ghosts, though, it may be too late.
Well considering I’ve completed the current LW3 story and enough of HoT on a character that found Eir standing in her homestead, I’d say Caudecus being missing is more the exception than the rule regarding updating instances.
They might as well just make the patriot rocks glow bloodstone red to “explain” why they can do what they do. Considering we’re stuck with being shot down effortlessly we might as well be able to see the things coming from more than a few feet away.
Bah. I was gonna use that, specifically because of the achievement’s wording, to ease frustration when trying to solo it on the rest of my chars. Guess it comes down to praying the updrafts work or coming along with random party invites and inevitably sitting in the room of shame.
