Confirmed. Happens WAAAYYY more in WvW than in other game modes. Borderline unplayable. Please fix or at least address that this is an issue for an unlucky few?
Yup. Fire it short and let the splash damage hit the wall.
Also, it’s not just mouse turning. It affects double-click to move as well, so it’s definitely not a dirty lens or mouse pad.
Yeah, I tried all of that too. It seems to mostly happen in WvW, even if I’m roaming alone. It’s really strange that the issue disappeared for so long, only to reappear after the most recent patch.
My first few months of playing (beginning of HoT), I had an issue where I couldn’t turn with my right mouse click about 50% of the time. Miraculously, It was fixed the same day of the gun flame nerf back in the day, a few months after the expansion released. It was such a nice fix that the nerf didn’t bother me in the least. I haven’t been playing as much for the past two months, but the problem has reappeared. I’ve tried two different mice from two different companies and still have the same results. Was there a patch recently that has caused anyone else to have the same issue? Any input/suggestions? Thank you.
I’m sure I could google how to open a ticket in this game and get an answer, but why should I have to? Do they hide this on purpose? Just another thing Blizzard does better. A lot better. It should be in my options when I hit ESC. Why is it not there?
A dyeable metal glider with spikes that matches my Charr warrior’s Warband Hauberk would be fantastic! Thanks for making one just for me! I deserve it.
I think everyone agrees that gun flame hit too hard, but I don’t necessarily agree with nerfing the piercing part. Also, rifle damage as a whole wasn’t OP, so why not redistribute some of the 20% to one of the other 4 skills?
We need more information about which particular i5 you have before anyone can know if this is normal, or if there’s a problem. If it’s an older i5, like a 750 or 760, you’re probably gonna have to bite the bullet and turn some settings down. Test each setting individually to see which ones affect performance the most vs. how much they please you visually.
I struggled with the same thing. I ended up farming them in SW. It’s not very efficient unless you’re lucky enough to tag along for a chest train. After I had crafted my ascended armor, I got the urge to try WvW one day, and after following the commander tag around for a few hours, I had well over 100 from killing champion NPCs. EoTM seems to be populated enough to do this during most hours of the day.
I’ve heard of other people asking the same question as well, and I’m in the same boat. I’m fairly new, so pardon me if this is already an option, but is there a way to hide enemy pet names is WvW? If not, add it to the list also. It’s fairly obnoxious to have to read “Platinum kitten Lieutenant General Deputy x 40”, then read a sea of names for their pets in a 40 vs. 40 battle. It’s much worse than the spell effects could ever be, and there’s options for those.
I know I can disable names on both sides, but I feel I should have options to lesson the clutter somewhat without completely removing everything. Maybe I do and I’m just inexpereinced. Not sure.
Sorry if bumping a week old post is a necro. The layout of these forums is either a mess, or I just don’t understand it quite yet.
Happy Slaying!
