Throwing in my vote for going back to the old Alpine BLs.

With regard to stability I think:

1) It should go back to the old way where instead of stacks it was just an on/off thing, and CC doesn’t strip it.

2) I think it should be unstrippable by boon rips, or at least make it so the boon rips randomly strip things rather than prioritizing stability (as my understanding the Necro boon rips do).

Really stability is the only way large groups can collide with each other and have a meaningful battle, without that you just end up with this ranged vs ranged battle that nobody finds fun.

I’ve checked taskmgr and Guild Wars 2 is the only major thing. Also the problem only happens when playing Guild Wars 2, never when I’m just browsing the web or anything. I’ve run a virus scanner recently but I’ll run it again within a couple days to be sure… but I’m 99% sure that isn’kitten

I have an i5-3550 (4 core) 3.2 ghz processor. But I can see that all 4 CPU cores are running at near 100%, and guild wars is responsible for all of that. I think when it locks up that’s because it gets to 100%. This problem only started happening about a month ago.

Two really needed changes:

1) Nerf Revenant Hammer #2. Some guilds are going full revenant now and you can do 7k+ damage per hit to 5 players, on a skill with a 2-second cooldown. This is an absurd amount of damage and makes it so you can’t even get close to guilds that are running this setup.

2) Reverse the stability change in WvW, so that stability does not get stripped when CC is done. Again, this makes it very difficult for a group to engage another group, because they can simply be CC bombed.

I’m glad you’ve made a couple changes relevant to fighting guilds (the rally change, and points for killing). But the two things I mentioned above have the biggest impact on fighting guilds, please address them.

So I think this requires a scribe to build the tactics. Does anyone know the level of the scribe needed, and what it costs to build chilling fog and dragon banner?

Hello,

My guild has both the dragon banner and chilling fog upgrades unlocked. We were previously able to slot those into the tactics of our claimed objective, but now cannot do so. When I click on the objective icon and try to slot them, they are grayed out and it says we own 0 of them.

Do I need to build them somewhere? If so, where?

Living Story Season 2, Trouble at Fort Salma

In the episode Trouble at Fort Salma in Living Story Season 2, there is an arrow cart you are supposed to use to kill some mobs. Due to the line of sight changes, this arrow cart cannot hit the area you are supposed to be able to target.

Reverting the change would be best, but this solution would go some way to fixing the problem. I think it should be maybe 2 seconds though, not just a half second.

The problem right now is that unorganized blobs can just spam a bunch of CC, and more organized guild groups which used to be able to take them on now cannot. Better, smaller, groups should be able to take on unorganized blobs. Skill should be rewarded, but the stability change makes it so a big group will always win because smaller groups can’t push against them.

Please fix ele/mesmer blinks getting stuck.

And yet there’s been no fix. I don’t understand how something can be a high priority bug fix and take so long.

This may not impact PvE players very much, but it’s extremely annoying to die in a 1v1 due to a bug, or when fighting in big groups, getting rolled over by a zerg because you are unable to move.

It’s especially irritating in that, since it seems like you are immobilized, you often blow your condi cleanse to try and get out of it, only to realize too late that it’s the “stuck bug.”

This bug apparently happens when you get CC’d and then use a teleportation-like skill. CC is extremely common in WvW, and you use teleportation skills to move to safety. This is a very big deal for WvW players. Please, please give this bug some attention.

Celestial & Ferocity = nerf?

Celestial gear is extremely time-consuming to get (it takes 5 days per piece to craft it). They acknowledged that people put in hard work to get their gear and they didn’t want to obsolete any gear, but this change will completely obsolete celestial gear if they go through with it.

The fact that celestial gear currently gives about as much critical damage as berserker is what makes it a compelling choice. If that is removed with this ferocity change, there will be no purpose in celestial gear at all.

In addition, they said they were aiming for an overall 10% dmg reduction with this change, but the damage reduction for full celestial players will be MUCH MORE than just 10%.

I really hope this is just an oversight and that they will correct it. This change is completely inconsistent with what their stated goals were.

Allow reset of WxP abilities for 1000 badges

This would be good for two reasons:

1) A badge sink (lots of WvW players collect far more badges than they have a practical use for)

2) Permanent character changes absolutely suck. Semi-permanence is good, but absolute permanence makes people afraid of picking something.

I haven’t spent a single WxP point yet because I know the most useful thing to get would be 115 in “Defense against Guards,” but I don’t yet have 115 points. If I could reset my WxP abilities, even for a significant cost, I’d be willing to spend those points.

This decision to make WxP abilities permanent reminds me of some other games that punish players for decisions they make early on… It’s quite surprising coming from this game since the other design decisions aren’t like that at all.

Yes, free server transfers should definitely go. I think they’re waiting to implement group play (so you can do PvE with friends on different servers) before they do that.

I don’t think server transfers should be totally off-limits, but there needs to be a cost to it and strong limitations on how often you can do it.

And yeah, the points should be cleared after such a drastic change. Really, the whole points system needs to be re-evaluated (i.e: it’s totally broken). The movement between tiers is just too slow. But that’s a discussion for another thread.

Yes, I have a problem with accidentally shooting at things I didn’t mean to. I’m fighting some veteran or champion and what happens? I accidentally shoot at the wildlife and draw them into the fight.. It’s real annoying.
