Hey man I’m also running a GTX970 and had very low fps after the patch but deleting my Gw2.tmp file did the trick.

I think a cool change for Malyx would be to make Embrace the darkness waste energy when you take damage. Basically like death shroud. Yeah it’s kind of ripping off death shroud but with some minor differences it could be cool. They have the same visual effect, so why not have similar effects as well? it’s not like you’d be OP because you’d have to either waste your energy on offense or defense.

After further testing, it seems to only trigger when searching swords (filtered by level highest to lowest). Could be other items that trigger it.

I can confirm. Exact same issue. Crashes about 15 seconds after opening the Trading Post. Tried it 4 times now same results. Deleted my temp and I’m running as admin.

Patch day = Don’t play day.

Turret Cooldown idea

I’m sure this has been suggested before, but I haven’t seen it so I’m going to post my idea anyways.

I feel turrets as of right now are pretty strong. This isn’t a post asking for a buff to turret damage or anything like that. It’s a suggestion for making turrets more mobile, while still promoting a defensive play style.

Basically the idea is that when you place a turret, the cooldown for the turret starts ticking when they are placed instead of when they are destroyed.

I feel that this would make us more mobile with turret builds, but not making them too mobile. It would promote the use of turrets to cap points or for big fights, but would not punish players for an ill timed turret drop.

Even if they have to raise the cooldown of turrets to say, 1 minute, I think this would still be a great improvement from the system it has now.

Idea for new Risen themed WVW

Hello, just posting another idea of mine.
I was thinking it would be cool to see a new, probably stand-alone map that turned the three realms into different types of Risen.

Basically, the server in 1st place would appear as Zaitan’s (or the new dragon or whatever) risen. The server in 2nd place would be Branded… etc etc.

It’s just an idea and it would be tweaked to match the current end game boss dragon but it would be neat getting wrecked by a horde of zombies instead of players.

I think it would be easy to do seeing as basically all the races/classes have risen npcs.

Sorry if anyone has mentioned this before, and if so, please direct me to that thread so I can see the responses.

The guy that above me’s build is what I used but I had Flame turret and thumper turret instead (and flamethrower).

If you put a sigil of strength on your rifle, you’ll be able to have almost constant uptime of 25 stacks of might with the flame turret and juggernaut.

Also, you can use thumper turret and flame turrets tool belt skills to give you and your party more might before you put them down.

As far as your playstyle (not spamming too much). All you’ll really have to do in this build is auto attack with 1 and use 2 as soon as it’s off cooldown, then use the other weapon skills selectively.

Oh yeah for sure, I should of mentioned that. It could just have one less diamond right above the separator for the weapon abilities. Actually now that I look at it, that would work perfectly.

I was thinking of solutions for Thief and making it more of an on your toes play style rather than a spam play style and I thought of the idea to have a seperate bar per weapon (hand). Now obviously they would have to rework a couple things here and there but I think this would give us reason to use our abilities instead of spamming heart seeker or pistol whip. I play Sword/Pistol and I love it but I hate feeling like all I should do is pistol whip. Seriously half a second stun beats the 1/4 daze and blinding powder is so conditional and easy to avoid that it also ends up being pretty useless. If I could use head shot and or blinding power while my Infiltrator’s strike and pistol whip are down I think that would make for a much richer play style for Thief and would really separate the good ones from the bad ones.
