After download just login then play ! Why logout and restart ?

Would rather more builds that the game crashing. I am always happy to see new builds which should mean improvements or fixes.

I can not play the game as it continually goes black for about 3 seconds then comes back. Sometimes crashes and restarts my computer.
Will be leaving the game and going elsewhere if no improvement soon. No expansion purchase for me.

Yes sorry my personal story has ended when I fought the minister. After that there was nothing to do and the pointer was saying go to Fields of Ruin.
Just levelling in other areas now so all good.

Human yes and by fluke I ended up in Kessex Hills.

Just following the story line and it sends me to areas I can not survive.
Back to LOTRO I think.

It is the story line that is sending me there but I will go to some other ares to level up first.

I am level 19 and am told to go to the fields of ruin but the portal leads me to Ebonhawke where I am one hit killed by level 30+ mobs.
How can I get to where I need to be without being butchered ?

I started playing GW2 again a few days ago after a 2 year break.
Since I last played with no performance issues I have upgraded my computer including a high end AMD graphics card.
Now it crashes to the desktop continually so that I will not be playing GW2 for much longer unless fixed.
Is there a fix to play this old game on modern computers ?

I always craft and gather materials, do all the usual things but must be my imagination.

Been away for a few months so decided to start a new character.
Is it my imagination or is levelling slower ? Seems to take a lot longer than I remember !

There is a place in Lornas Pass near the bridge to the Priory where a bruiser is bragging he can not be beaten. I always fight him and win easily to get an event and exp.

GW2 will work effortlessly on your pc. Mine are nowhere near yours and work a treat.
I played WOW for years too and loved it. GW2 IMHO is a better game and just as addictive.

Necro is one of my favorites classes in both GW and GW2. Love the way flesh golem recharges health, I also run a ranged minion too.

As above I use scepter and dagger with my necro condition build. Ele used a staff but dont play ele much.

Less bugs
Get to level 40 + and elete skills to get the best feel of a character.
Use all your character slots on the different races to get a different story line.

GW2 disconnects and it also takes my pc or laptop connection with it. It never happens except when GW2 is running.

Probably a tech post but no one ever goes to that forum.
Lately my wife and I are being disconnected from GW2 quite regularly so that my wife is about to give it away.
This was a problem with GW1 so eventually my friend and I went to WOW and never came back …. she is still on WOW and did not come back to GW2 like I did. Accordingly I don’t know if GW1 was ever eventually fixed.
Is anything being done to fix this problem because I love GW2 and want to keep playing with my wife however if this problem persists it will be bye bye from both of us.
Any thoughts or info ?

My top two are Ranger and necro with warrior at three ( very versatile with weapons ).
Agree you should get to elite skills to get the feel.

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop for around $500 Australian and it runs GW2 fine. Gets a bit hot after a few hours but works as well as my desktop. Nothing special about the laptop so you should be OK.

Disconnections were a big problem with GW1 as well and it looks like Arenanet have not fixed this with GW2 .

Won’t make much difference just pick on and go for it.

Oh well at least they work as a bank but seems a bit silly.
Why does my hUNTSMAN WORK THEN AND NOT MY JEWELLER ?

I am a level 246 jeweller at Stronhold of Ebonhawke but when I try to craft I can not gain access to the bench nor talk to the supplier. My Hunstman is OK but is level 174.
Is my jeweller to high a level to work from this location ?

I know what you mean, I am an Australian playing on European servers so I moved to an American server that apparently has a lot of Asian time zone players.
Not a lot of difference !
Still think we should have an Asian server for Asian time zones and ideally an Australian/New Zealand dedicated server to overcome any language problems.

Does the condition of vunerability increase damage done by other conditions like bleed, burn or poison ?

I never play Warrior but loved it on GW2.

My wife and I are now on Isle of Janthir now so the time zones will be closer I guess.

Warrior is more versatile and can use most weapons. This game does not demand a tank and healer like the old GW.
Hey try em all !

Make some new characters so when you get bored with one play another then come back to the first one later.
Crafting is fun too and you can make alts to supply any character you may have.
Only played for a short time so maybe you have not learned how versatile this game can be.
Create 5 different characters and races and even buy a few more slots to play every class.

At level 80 experience is still registered on the bar at the bottom and also levelling up back to level 80.
What is the point of getting exp at level 80 ? I thought I read the exp was converted to gold ?

I am an Australian on European server but wondering is there a server for Australians and Asian time zones ?
Could not find any except American.

I rarely use it as I am spending time crafting anyway which has a bank too.
Deposit any items you want to give to another character in the bank.
Change characters, go top any bank or crafting station and pick up the item from the bank.
I make weapons and armour for my alts all the time.

Do we need some type of dungeon finder like WOW ? I won’t be hanging around forever waiting for a group of 5 I will give you the strong tip !

I am a level 72 Human Ranger and have yet to go into a dungeon knowingly in my story line. Where did I miss this ?
I do recall a dungeon around Beetlerun but did not go in. How would I form a group to go in here and do I need 4 ?

How much will you save if they did ?

I would say warrior would be your best bet but ranger is good too especially with pet and dodge. Mob is usually dead before or if he reaches you and you change to melee especially if your pet holds agro.
Personally I like to have both ranged and melee too.
Thief also has this capability with short bow plus daggers.
Ranger, warrior and theif are my favorite chars.

I used Longbow for a long time ( excuse the pun ) but lately changed to short bow due to more versatility and condition damge. Lean to attack from behind or the side..
Can not see the point in having two bows as you want something for closer work. I use Axe and Torch which gives you some range but burn damage too. Dont be afraid to switch from bow to melee if the pet loses agro on your mob.
I try different weapons sets depending on my mood but the above is my serious set up.
