PvE Condition Necromancer Build?

I’m curious if there is a viable PvE necromancer build out there? I am tired of all the power gameplay I do with a warrior. I realize Condition isn’t favored at all, but I am sure there is a viable way to do it. If anyone could guide me I’d appreciate it.

EST Night time player - Looking for...

A server that has an active night time community to farm events. There is usually maybe 4-5 people in Orr at night time on my server (2AM-3AM). I’m not sure there is a server that has a really active night time community but if there is please let me know!

Are current diminishing returns permanent ?

Don’t forget diminishing returns now is in effect on dynamic events. I’ve had it trigger -while in a party with my roommate- doing one chain event on Cursed shore. We went to fight the Claw of Jormag (which was bugged, as usual), then ended up doing a event near the area instead.

Still on the DR somehow. So not only can people not gather their own crafting materials, they can’t even gather karma for the outrageously priced cultural karma/Orr gear.

It isn’t like Dungeons are fun, and even then, if they where you got diminishing returns on that too.

I’d love to be in game playing, but I hit diminishing returns on DE’s without even farming them.

The Holy Trinity Is not needed

Trinity still exists, just in a different shape.
DPS/CC/Support.

Support is insanely flimsy right now, since +healing doesn’t scale, and toughness doesn’t prevent enough damage. Incidental damage from trash mobs with 1800 (rounded down) toughness and protection still almost 1 shots my guardian. Dodge isn’t always available.

No, I’m not saying there should be a healing/tank/DPS trinity. I am saying more stats that actually help support oriented characters need to work. But instead we get lazy dungeon design.

It wasn’t designed that way, it is only through recent patches to punish bots that it was made that way.

Oh now you’re making up numbers for me and apparently everyone selling the materials is a bot. You’re on a roll. Again, try picking up your sleeves instead of clamoring for appeasement.
p.s. if you hadn’t figured it out, the best way around it is to seek out more valuable items and buy the raw materials you need. Typically at a profit beyond farming them in the first place. That’s some free community help.

Lol. This doesn’t even work. The only thing that sells for really high prices on the TP is crafting materials, and legendary exotics.

@Knightblaster – Then I should naturally get enough money, and crafting materials to level my professions without the need to farm out tons of gold/materials to do so right? ohwait. I don’t care if I am sitting in rares, or exotics, I want to be able to level my crafting profession. Crafting is what I enjoy doing in every game, yet it is a job in this one. Crafting in FFXIV is -easier-, and that is saying a lot. The gameplay is more of the same really. Collision detection was added to attacks, tanking/healing was removed infavor a mediocre support abilities and a limited dodge roll.

Obviously, I still somewhat like the game or I wouldn’t be here on these forums. There is still nothing being done about bots, or people that exploited to get insanely ahead of most of the community.

You mean the bots selling the materials? Indeed. They have found a way.

I’m sure you’ve found a way too, and for a game that proclaims being a community based game, the community wants to do nothing to help others. But please, keep acting like you are some moral high horse cause you are fine getting 2-3 fine crafting materials an hour. Rest of us want a real reward for our time put in.

Saying what I am posting is anecdotal (Ghostcrawler loves this word!) without providing evidence of your own just makes you silly. Considering there is TONS of people complaining about the lack of reliable farming options for fine crafting materials to level, as opposed to people like you, I’d say there is nothing anecdotal about what I’ve posted.

It isn’t even forums based, I actually see -more- complaining in game than in forums.

Maybe you should play the game and see there is plenty still bugged, and people still can’t reliably farm fine crafting materials.

Oh good kitten have you actually thought about just playing for 3-4 hours, with no farming in mind?
I promise you if you did you could just have bought the thick blood of the TP.
It is about doing things and seeing interesting places, hey maybe gather some nodes-take your rewards and spend it on whatever you want (thick blood) not farming- how hard is that to understand?

Cause Orr is a magical, pretty, wonderful place full of amazing scenery. I can’t wait until I log in, and see wave after wave of risen infront of one mining node, and then run off to do an event for 300 karma and a silver!

^_^

I promise you, buying the amount of fine crafting materials to level a craft costs almost 3x the amount of a finished product. The game is -all about farming-. Especially if you want to make money to buy anything.

It is not the player’s fault the only level 80 areas are generic undead land A, and generic snow land B. There isn’t any interesting places to just visit. Alot of skill points/events are bugged. Making finishing my 83% out of 100% map exploration really hard to do.

The entire game is about farming at 80. Especially if you want some decent looking armor/weapon skins.

It is designed that way. You get a gold/silver/bronze based on your participation, tiny bits of money, and karma.

Karma is a currency used to buy overpriced. subpar gear for skins. You are best saving all your karma for level 80 as it stands right now.

It is dense cause you fail to use all information available. You are spending too much time with your lips planted somewhere, and not enough time actually reading the valid complaints.

As if the anti-farming script, and the karma changes weren’t knee-jerk reactions. That is hilarious. If I knew I wouldn’t get punished for exploiting I would of done it too. Seems to be the only way to keep up in this game.

Uh, there is no challenge. It is artificial time inflation to punish bots, no players. The OP isn’t a carebear. He wants to see results put in for his farming efforts. He doesn’t want to get punished for sitting on one -map- for 30 minutes. I say map, cause I personally do chain events myself and get little to no loot after the third-fourth event.

Your logic is mind boggling. People want a real reward for their effort put in. If I am spending 3-4 hours farming vials of thick blood, I actually want some vials of thick blood and not 5-6 of them.

If karma gear wasn’t worth it, then what’s the problem? People were farming karma in ridiculous quantities by “botting/exploiting/whatever” repeat events, buying the gear and either reselling it, or salvaging it for materials in large quantities. This was obviously not intended…so, it got changed?
I’m not sure why this is a shock. Things change all the time in mmo’s, either becoming easier or more prohibitive depending on what the developers see

This is a dense response. They got changed in prices -AND how they function-. Karma gear is now soulbound, unsalvagable, and unsellable. Which it should of been in the first place. On top of that, their prices got raised by 300 fold.

So, what is your next reason? Cause there is none. You can’t magically get 250k~ karma a day to make exotic weapons from these vendors. If they didn’t want people farming karma, repeat events would of been removed. So instead, we get…

Karma prices raised to unrealistic values pre-80.
All karma items non-salvagable/sellable/soulbound on buy (should of been like this from the start).

Bots win, players lose.

Want to farm your own materials? Hope you like spending 2-3 silver to waypoint to the next zone every 30 minutes.

Drastic measures were not needed on the players, but on the people exploiting to get insane sums of money. Yet those people that exploited are still here, and the botters have never got banned.

I didn’t know farming was being a carebear? I always thought it was a WoW term people on PvP servers used to attempt to think they are mega elite awesomes, and then whine when they lose to said carebears.

And it was worse than most crafted greens to begin with?

30k+ for level 60 karma gear is a bit silly. 63k for bad stats, and a skin is even worse. Sorry, but karma gear just isn’t worth it in any shape or form. Even temple karma gear is a terrible buy.

If I am spending all day to get 60k+ Karma to buy something from a temple, it should at least have decent stats lines. And no, I am not talking about “SO AMAZING +30 to every stat” WoW crap. I am talking more options outside of condition based evil-spikey armor set.

Cultural karma vendors need to be lowered and made completely race specific. Let Ebonhawk, and Lionguard keep their own and lower the T1/T2 stuff. It costs way, way to much for mediocre skins.

I’m sure if there was a quick way to fix it so that it didn’t affect the legitimate players they would have. But to curtail botters/exploiters immediately, sometimes it has to be drastic.

So drastic that the same 15 bots at the same 4 karma events are still there after a week and a half of doing it? Karma prices had to be raised on non-level 80 gear why?

It is all a knee-jerk reaction. I don’t care about the grubs, cause I don’t sit at an event to farm grubs. I want my karma, random greens/blues/yellows (assuming any drop cause I’ve been in the zone for longer than 20 minutes lols), and to move on. If a event is bugged, I leave. If I see people abusing something, I report it.

I’m the type of legit player that is getting punished by -wanting- to put in time. Instead, all I see is exploiters, and bots getting rewarded.

People were Farming the grubs that spawn from Giants. They would purposely keep the Giants alive so he would spawn waves of Grubs so they could farm the Grubs. It was an exploit. And as I said in the other Thread about this…
I honestly do not understand why some of you kids even play MMO’s anymore. A company should make a game just for people like you.
Already Max Level
Already all the best Items
All Bank/Bag Space Opened and Filled with the best Bags
You don’t have to ever Farm anything as you can place an order for it, with the Gold you recieve Daily in the sum of <You wont be able to spend it all if you tried>
The game would be cheap as there would be no need for Content, after all, you’ve already cleared that Content before your character was even made. You have all the gear from all the hardest raids. Welcome to your glorified chat room.
A Game like I described would be an awesome addition to those who feel like they shouldn’t have to “work” for anything in a MMO.

Sorry, but farming isn’t an option in this game. Players get punished for spending time mind numbingly farming 928340928409820943 monsters (exact numbers) to get materials to build one piece of gear. For bots, it doesn’t matter.

Telling players to use their money to buy inflated materials on the trading post isn’t an option either. Prices are really high, getting tier 5 mats to use at the mystic forge to convert into T6 mats takes -tons- of time. I’m not talking 1-2 hours a day, I am talking 3-4 hours a day constantly switching spots. WITH magic find gear. Making tons of gold to buy this stuff requires a lot of sitting down at the trading post to figure out a realistic option to generate 3-4 gold an hour from it.

People who haven’t abused bugs, (Karma gear being resold to vendors, cheating Explorable dungeons, transferring servers and farming out Orichalcum.), and don’t bot are the ones getting punished by all this anti-farming stuff.

It isn’t really the grubs thing that has people annoyed. It is The entire community getting punished cause of botters/exploiters.
