With server linking this doesn’t matter anymore. You can’t get away to a low pop server.
If you get rid of those sounds get rid of the predator too. Nothing like a loud bang. Seriously though just don’t play with those people if you don’t like it. They spent a lot of time crafting the legendary weapons.
What exactly do you want that WvW isn’t already providing?
Because I have a pretty good idea I already know the answer, and it’s “preying on other players”.
It would still be separate from PVE. Just use the maps you already have. Map gains are much more exciting than points. Control Lions Arch would be much more exciting than SM.
Well if each city was a faction that’d be six instead of three factions you’d have larger territory gains and more maps. Obviously skewed the closer the map was to the city. Guild claiming areas like in factions. Many of the new maps allow for enemies to capture so I didn’t think it was too much of a stretch. Already tons of forts, towers and mines, some forts even limit access to the next area essentially controlling the front and keeping the number of highly active maps down.
Can we just have open world WvW? Your guild swears allegiance to one city and you battle for territory like in GW Factions. It’d still be a wvw instance separate from pve but you’d just use the same maps. Then there’d at least be a renewed sense of pride and accomplishment.
I think if they split the scoring between all participating servers it’ll increase a sense of purpose.
Right to work just destroy all server names and have players chose a new server when the log into wvw.
Just merge the servers. Its more than just a name recognition. We work hard and our score means nothing. The refuge/mercenary server is re-paired and loses all work it had. This isn’t pvp, sometimes war isn’t balanced. Give ways for smaller servers to compete with sheer numbers on others. Increase strategy.
I don’t like any of these solutions. The host server holds the major bulk of the population while the linked server only holds a small amount. With all of these solutions you take AWAY the identity of servers. not fix them..
It seems to me that this is on topic and states a valid opinion. While it’s unfortunate you don’t like any of the suggestions, it would be really helpful to know if you can suggest an alternative that you would find more desirable.
Sigils Runes and Infusions would save a ton of space after salvaging on the go.

With the new 4 stat ascended armor you could in theory get 100% boon duration or at least 50% with another 50 from a paragon friend.
Using Superior Rune of the Revenant it gives you 2 seconds of resistance using a healing skill. If you chose Healing Signet as your healing skill that adds 6 seconds of resistance for a total of 8 seconds. With Signet Mastery it reduces the recharge to 16 seconds. 100% boon duration will give you 16 seconds of resistance. Close to permanent.
Would such a build be even viable or even worth it?
I’d like some mini battles, like fort aspenwood in gw1. Could have them on each races border. Norn vs Char etc
Being linked with Mag I avoid [KILL] they will run to orange swords and ignore all PPT. The worst squirrels ever.
Half prefer Alpine the other half either prefer desert, just want it to be balanced or don’t care.
Maybe they need a tag option that is only visible to those in squad. So people don’t have to run tagless.
Maybe Sentries shouldn’t ping enemies on the radar unless they upgrade.
Towers in DBL put up blockades. They were strategic but people didn’t like that.
Need to make one with underwater forts so everyone can qq how it is worse than DBL.
To prevent people from farming and trading the same objective over and over. PVE players will flood the game mode and play it for the wrong reasons, loot and wxp.
The mechanic is not perfect but I am glad it is there.
So replace RI with a mechanic that prevents gaining rewards from the capture event for 5 minutes after the last flip.
That’s what the players want. Less rewards.
If you don’t want to siege, go to sPvP.
I’m super excited. I’m a big DBL fan. I chose the 2 alpine 1 desert because I know I’m in the minority. Coming from a low pop server it may just give me the map I need to feel at home.
I think it is odd that people look for fights in WvW and those who don’t are told to go to sPvP or PVE. I’m interested in capturing objectives. If I can split my guild and hit two objectives and come out with one then that is a success. I think conquering the map is much more satisfying than some lagfest war. You prepare for war but with good tactics, should come the win.
I liked DBL the forts were tough to crack but the map was huge so feinting attacks was more effective in confusing the enemy.
You could have saved yourself the effort and just said that you like to PvD.
Not at all. I love a good fight if it last more than a few minutes. That usually doesn’t happen in blobs and DBL encourages splits and better fights in my opinion.

That’s why I liked desert borderlands. You could split your force and make the blob chose what they wanted to defend. The map is big enough to allow for strategy. Alpine is so small it encourages blobing.
I’m confused. The Server linking (plus dem reward tracks doe) has done nothing but bring me more heavy loot bags. Why QQ?
Because some of us like WvW for the strategy. If you want to go mob farming run silverwastes.
I want to know where these 15 on 15 PvP modes you guys are talking about.
Merge or don’t. I’m tired of being a refuge. Let me transfer to the lower population so I can have a strategy with ppt to win instead of blobs looking for bags.
Low population is nothing like sPvP. When they give me a pvp with siege that last a week and that my guild can drop in and out of to participate as they chose, then I’ll chose that.

Maybe a new mastery system will improve your character’s abilities in PVE could also work as a balance.
Maybe instead of splitting skills, which could be confusing but wasn’t bad to get used to in GW1, they should introduce PVE only skills to balance the classes like G1 had with lightbringer, sunspear, etc.
It may be nice to have a few more options to chose from as well in build diversity.
I prefer the lower numbers. I know many other players do as well. A good 15 on 15 or 25 on 25 is a good fight where I can spam something other than 1 due to lag and we can have havoc that doesn’t run into blobs. To me this is better team building than PVP which is very solo and short sighted. Maybe WvW isn’t designed for players like me who are happy with something in between pvp and all out war. If they added more maps and reduced the population cap there might be a home for me on a larger server. My PVX guild has discontinued WvW guild missions. They are too difficult to accomplish on weekends when we can get together. Casuals players won’t work.
Should just open alpine borderlands up with desert and have 7 maps. This que is ridiculous. Good luck getting all your guild together to play. Thanks Maguuma for their hospitality but I’d rather roam on an near empty map.

Can we move the drop out of form button away from the go into form button. Some of us are a little OCD about hitting our skills and if I hit “Plague” or “Become the Bear” I will instantly drop out of the form by double clicking it.
Doesn’t mean there aren’t any human/norn couples, just that they can’t have children.
Once you go Norn you never go back.
