Anyone know what’s up? For the whole of Wintersday I’ve chalked it up to my pi** poor internet (Thank you very much, HughesNet for nothing!) But now, I’m starting to wonder as all the little kiddies have gone back to school and peeps are back to work. The lag is off the charts still… PINGS @ upwards of 5k over the past two weeks!!!! But the client still crashes even during HughesNet downtime…, such as 3AM! (PINGS between 1.5-3k at this time.)

Grrr…, I have crashed so many times over the past few days that I’ve been off more than online playing (TRYING TO) GW2! Keep getting a message saying the client has lost connection with the server. I could say it was my internet connection, however, it just started this a few days ago and I’ve not changed my connection settings nor has my provider changed. Someone please do something.

Thx everyone. The Laptop belongs to my daughter who lives in another county and there’s no way she could do without that laptop long enough for me to bring it home…, not even over night. (She’s a writer and all her manuscripts are on there. And yes, she has backups but that’s beside the point. lol) So I need to be able to transfer the game by USB flashdrive. It’s either that or take my desktop to her place…and I don’t want to lug this gaming computer around if I don’t haver to. So flashdrive it is!

Can I use a 16GB USB flash drive to move GW2…, with ALL updates…, from a laptop to a desktop? (I have not clue as to the size of this game.)

I’m not sure what you’re expecting, but it sounds to me like you need to change your ISP rather than it being a game problem.

There have been countless monthly updates since the game’s initial release, so I’m not sure how you’re expecting to have what was built only yesterday to be on the CD that was made nearly three years ago!

As it’s an online-only game, you do have to kind of expect monthly (if not bi-weekly) downloads, as well as usage of data whilst playing the game online. It’s not a game problem, its the problem of the way you’re using the internet.

I do indeed expect the game to use data…BUT NOT 15 GBs LONG before I log onto it!

It’s been 2 years after release so you really thought there will be no updates after installation ? Never had any kind of online game before ? Many maps were added, many were changed, storyline was expanded and with it, characters, skins, skills, gearsets, even the game settings like recent new camera options.
You knew what you were buying i guess.

I started playing EQ when it first came out…I KNOW what online gaming is. And I knew that the game would have updates…but are those updates so HUGE that they take 15 GBs and the download is still at only 15%? I mean seriously? Also I expected those updates to be added AFTER I downloaded the game from the CD that I bought. NOT DURING. I had planned on taking my computer to my daughters home…she has unlimited internet…and downloading the updates…BUT it’s too late to do that now. As for me playing games…you want a list?

WHY is it that I have a disk in my comp to download this game from and yet I find that I now have only 2GB of data left out of my VERY limited monthly internet allowance?! I don’t understand? Is this game so huge that it takes 15 gigs and it’s ONLY 15% done? I can understand updates…AFTER you download the game from a CD…but…..Oh, I’m so PO’ED!
I HAVE to use a darn Sat. internet connection and I pay out the….rump… for it through Hughesnet at $80.00 for 30 gigs per month…, OF which we only get to use about 15 gigs because the other 15 gigs are divided up for use between 2am-8am…which in itself is a load of crock.
I’ve had trouble getting the darn game to download and NOW I find it’s taken most of my net for then next 23 days! I am beginning to wish I hadn’t bought this game! Can someone PLEASE explain to me WHY I’ve got almost NO internet left? It’s supposed to be downloading FROM THE CD!!

Windows 32-bit OS can not access all 6GB of RAM. For best performance, you can upgrade to a 64-bit system.

Make sure nothing is interfering with your CoherentUI program, such as firewall, virus scan, malware scan, etc.

Oh ok, well, maybe it’s 4 GB RAM…not sure but I know it’s more than 2. Told ya I wasn’t tech savvy… ;p But anyway, how do I go about checking the Coherent UI program? But I have cut everything that I can find off. Windows Firewall and others. I’n at a loss as to what to check next? I mean…I can’t even get the program downloaded to my computer…and it’s getting beyond frustrating! I have sent in a ticket but never even got a received conformation on it.

I do have the RAM…I’ve got 6 GBs of RAM but for some reason my comp dosen’t know it.
