Was watching Extant with the wife the other night. Season 2 episode 5 at around the 33 min. mark. Lucy (the girl robot) tells Charlie he should play less games. She takes his laptop and lets us see a game in the background. Omg to my and my wife’s surprise it’s GW2 he is playing! Awesome way to promote the game! Good job Anet (if you even knew about it that is), evidently many, many, many years in the future the ppl are still playing GW2!

Still waiting on my fave skins, Shadow weapons, to make a comeback. Maybe after they decide to bring the gods back, with the reintroduction of the Underworld!

I don’t post often, but this deserves a post.
I like the simplicity of the new system, but I hate that now I cannot buy the amount that I need and am forced to buy a very large amount!
Easy fix: leave current system and add in a “buy gem amount” slot. You select how many gems you want and it will choose the correct price for you! Always thought we should have had an option like that to begin with.
With the current way you cannot any longer buy the amount of gems needed for sale items and such.

• First person camera
• Increase max dolly (camera distance) distance
• Decrease min dolly distance
• More finite dolly control
• Automatic camera height adjustment on /sleep emote
• Manual camera height adjustment
• Stop ‘random snapping’ from happening
• Look at camera
• Free orientation movement
• Fix automatic camera height so that the over the shoulder camera works as it would be expected to work
• Manual FoV adjustment

I know there are some hesitations around a first person view. How about an option to make your character invisible while taking a screenshot, similar to how you can make the UI invisible?

Would be ok also, but coding wise, It should be simpler just to disable the restrictions on zoom, as compared to making the char invisible.

One of the leading factors into buying GW2 was my experience in GW. After my first few weeks, I was saddened to realize there was no immediate plans to incorporate several of the main selling points that made GW fun and unique. Please for the love of Tyria add all these missing functions!

Simply fix the charr cape in place to be streamed out behind it kinda like superman ;p or just make is Asura size that will fix the charr problem to.

Would absolutely love me some Tera or Aion armors/weapons/outfits in GW2. Those 2 games got it figured out right. Some of the most beautiful and original ideas for weapons and armors I have ever laid eyes on!

yes I’m sure there are plenty of ppl who love the sword offhand as is, champ zergs for ex., the skill is almost OP in 1v1 situations. But in general PvE the offhand sword skills don’t compare to the offhand axe skills, versus many opponents. Axe offhand allows you to handle large group of foes, sword offhand does not. If anet wanted to be really nice they could also boost the sword power to equal axe power, but I digress, save topic for another time. For now plz fix the sword offhand to be allowed a couple dif skills to use so those of us not wanting PvP or champ farms can still viably use it!

I only ask for 2 weapon skills to be changed! Warrior offhand sword sux compared to the offhand axe! plz make the offhand sword skills be on par with the offhand axe skills! I would so love to run dual swords but as it currently stands offhand sword is only good for 1v1 battles to inflict massive bleeds. I want it to be more versatile like the offhand axe is!

mad at the votes before me (I have to work and always miss the best stuff) but my vote is Flameseeker Prophesies and Bolt. I mean how else would you truly say goodbye to Lions Arch than to be a true Defender of the Realm!

for most people and most routers: open internet type in 192.168.254.254 into the address bar. that brings you to your router main page. from there you should see options on dif aspects of your router. near the bottom (on most) you will see reboot or maybe just a diagnostics page. either way just go through all the options till you find it then press reboot. it will take 2-5 mins to finish. then hopefully when its done you will be good to go. ( you can also do a factory reset from here. if you do just make sure you know your username and password or contact your isp) good luck and hope this helps you.

p.s. you can do a hard boot(unplug n sit for 2 mins) but its not guaranteed to refresh your dns cache. if you want to go that route, then its best to also hold the reset button down for 60s before you unplug it. just remember when you do you will have to log into your router and reinsert your username and password before you have internet access again.

after lots of messing around i finally got it fixed. it appears to be several factors combined. what i did to finally fix it was this. first turn firewall off. then do a cmd: ipconfig /flushdns , then go into your router configuration and reboot it.
after doing all these steps it fixed my problem, hope it helps you as well.
p.s. it seems this came about for me after installing the new nvidia driver today 331.82. but even after rolling back the driver and a system restore it still would not work. until i did the steps outlined above.

same problem here with me and the wife. Tried to log in this evening after work 4pm central time sw AR. and get the same message. connection errors(s) detected. Retrying…

thats all it will do. GW1 still plays but not GW2 so whats goin on here ;(

same for me and the wife, been like this for over 2 hours now. sw AR usa. i did recently update to the newest nvidia graphics driver. but have also did a full system restore thinking it may be the new driver but to no avail. plz fix this!
p.s. GW 1 works, but cannot start GW2 the launcher says connection errors detected.

The wifey and I were just fighting worm maybe 10 mins ago then warped to Old Sledge Site wp to kill Golem Mark II and got booted with error code 42:6:3:2158, unable to log back in game now, same error repeatedly!

p.s. also looks like the post show wrong time stamps as most of these were added up mins ago but says 2hours on all of em…

so far out of all mmo’s on the market worth playing, this on has to worst loot rate! I love this game, I love this company, and would love to play this game, but for lack of loot, it’s really becoming harder to motivate myself. Even my wife (shes a casual who plays all day long-so she’s a “Hardcore Casual”) who has been really loving this game up till recently now that shes done did practically all she can, has decided to work towards her Legendary. Now that shes actually paying attention to drops and what not shes ready to quit cause she realizes that she gets no loot. no loot means no monies. no monies means no buying things needed to purchase her Legendary. Her Legendary is all she has left to play towards, if its gonna take her forever and a day because of no loot to get the things she needs to get her Legendary, well to be nice she’s ‘bout had enough.
Me on the other hand I have no ambitions like hers to get all areas open, do all story, do all dungeons, play all classes, max all crafts (yes she has did this all). I only play games for the Lootz and this one so far has none!
To be nice I will say I’m only still hanging around hoping Anet gets back to their roots and fixes this, if not… well ESO will be out soon and I will be ready to receive it!

YES! I want my level to be in accordance with how many times I’ve actually leveled (gained skill points) you can stop stat progression at 80-100-120 w/e it don’t matter to me, but I would like to know my actual level. That would be epic!

I like the idea of having something to work towards, it keeps the game alive and less stagnant. It’s when everyone has nothing to do, that the game dies. Main peeve is still heard no details on LOOT fix!

oh and wtf is up with Quaggin’s? And on a back item to top it off yet you cannot give me a cloak or cape? I recall an answer a while back a dev saying Asura tell that capes are just to encumbering in a battle or w/e. well I’m sry but a fat as* Quaggin on your back is a bit more encumbering than a cloak/cape would be!

Thank you Kirito. Thats good to know that it don’t take much bandwidth to play GW2, but now after what Cactus just told me and after doing a bit of searching, the sat option may be worse for me. Guess I’ll stick with land-line 1.5mbps. Slow… yes, but I rarely ever have high pings so that’s good! Ty guys for the infos!

I’m fixing to get off my land-line 1.5mb internet to get satellite internet. Only problem is of the several dif providers, they all have a data allowance. I need to know how much data usage is GW2 using. My wife plays average of 12-16 hours a day and I play average of 8-10 hours a day. So how many gigs of data does that equate to. 20gigs a month, 50gigs a month, 150 gigs a month(hope not). Please any info would be very appreciated so I can figure what package to buy! Thanks in advance!

Underworld and Ectos, Fow and Obby Shards is a must… GW2 seems almost obsolete w/out them. Isn’t it about time the gods make a return in some form or other…
I miss my Shadow weapons and Chaos Axe! It’s time for some true Endgame!

GW1 gave you the ability to wear costumes over your armor. I can even think of a couple story quest here in GW2 like that. So if you don’t want to intermingle armors then create some nice threads that can be worn. I love my War, but all Male Heavy Armors I’ve seen (besides one lvl 60 crafting set) sux. If neither of them ideas is good enough then just upgrade the armors to some sets that look sweet. (take a few hints from Aion. they got some Beauty in the Armor dept.) GW1 had some niice Heavy Sets too.

As a warrior I was fighting the lvl 50+ ones in Bloodtide Coasts. I can solo them. Sure they are a pain, but with enough running in circles and dodging you can get em all w/out getting downed. And if they do down you then you usually still got time to kill one for a Rally. The Skritt ones are really easy, barely ever even reach half HP. Took about 4 hours and 79 Giant Gifts later all in BC. Only had 3 downs the whole time. Have fun and Good Gaming!

I think they decided against doing that, because Black Lion Keys can be obtained outside of the gemstore, though that is funny, since they drastically reduced the drop rates of Black Lion Keys since launch.

That’s mighty strange seeing as since beta to date I have only received 2 keys and both were from map completions. I was of the opinion that drops was not possible? If they are then plz do share where they drop from!

I want my Cape back! And better Armors for male Heavy sets. Take a few examples from Aion or just let all armors be worn by all classes! and why can we not wear outfits over our armor like in GW1. Sure was a lot easier for you guys to make money off of costumes when you let us wear those costumes over our armor! No one actually struts around in town clothes for more than the 3 mins they are in town. Need better options.

Okay well Gaile has actually managed to calm me down a bit now, it does help when you have someone like this interfacing with the public. I just hope I actually get compensated for that disconnection I worked ages for that and honestly I’m tired of fighting and being disappointed. I have to agree about Gaile! Even in GW1 she was the Lady who handles all our problems with a epic attitude. Even after she left the field of CR and RB took over Gaile continues to help out through FB and stuff. Gaile and Froggy always were great at what they do, and if looks say anything then they still are the best at CR! TY Gaile for outstanding work.

Even though you guys got it figured out how to distribute these chest, the easiest solution would of prolly been to check everyone that had the 20 slotted Karka box, and well they don’t get another chest, just the others. The fact that people who didn’t participate, that should be easy enough on your end to see also. Just look for every account that used the ship for first time access to the Island.

My wife and I did not receive the chest in mail. I see lots you people who did event but didn’t loot chest getting theirs, that’s great! I see some people who did event but didn’t get chest and still got no mail chest that’s not great ;‘( I see people who didn’t even log on that whole event or participate at all getting the mail that’s wrong, but lucky for them “gz”!
