You’re so right, healing so OP with toughness, that’s why everyone is running with Cleric, Settler and Crusader with Monk and Water rune
The effectiveness of current bunker ABSOLUTELY doesn’t come from damage mitigation..
Definitely a healing problem, absolutely. Totally right. Healing is op despite not having received any single change since current meta…I wrote earlier, to lazy to repeat myself, go read my previous post…

90% of current “bunker” build run cele and it is not because of healing OPness but rather how effective it is by making an inbetween “bruiser” type that can survive for a long while and still dish out decent amount of damage…
Well I find that I was un-kill able with cleric/cell and durability rune or cleric/cell and soldiers rune for condi cleansing when I used my shouts which are on a short cd btw, and also cantrips for further heals and condi cleansing/diamond skin.

Specs that are damage spec and heal dont last as long as a bunker/heals spec like a tempest or mesmer, they cant take 3-4 for over 2-3 minutes of fighting like a bunker/heal spec. You guys just want to proctect the meta’s that are getting you to legendary. I play a tempest bunker/healer I can efficiantly hold off 4 people at a point until my teamates come and help me, especially if there is a mesmer at a point with me you aint getting the it. The problem is not the current meta’s its the way the runes add to the meta’s that are the problem. Once I went Air/Water/Tempest I couldnt last vs 2 people get it? A mesmer/tempest bunker heals can hold a point vs 4 people without dying and if 1 dies they both can easily rez each other.

Why because its ok that 1 bunker with healing capabilities can stay alive until 3 or 4 jumps him, lets not forget that if you have 3 bunkers in a team its a never ending story of running around trying to kill even 1. Mind you I got to ruby on my tempest and got so bored I started playing a thief, sitting on a point with a Mesmer bunker while my team dominates the other points is boring as kitten.
Most of them can heal like normal or above normal with boons, put diminishing returns on heals on all toughness Runes (-50%) and remove healing on all amulets with toughness for pvp only, problem fixed.

Hi Im new to the thief class, is there a reason why this is the only class that doesnt have any stability what so ever, or am I missing something?
No wait till they do something to the thief, the new meta for the other classes and a little organization in spvp will make you want to slit your wrist, you will be belittled by your teammates for even joining in ranked games at higher level divisions. Play the other classes until they do something about the lack of surviving big scale battles for the thief.

This guy clearly hasn’t played in the ruby division yet, what do you do when you go against teams that has tempest bunker watching 1 point and the other 4 which would be dh/tempest/necro/mesmer at mid rotating properly. You will be a useless teammate throughout the whole game. I know at that division before the match starts you are the first to be targeted… actually no, you are the first to be ignored because in any situation if you engage in the big fights you will instantly die to aoe damage. Everytime my team goes against a team that has 1 thief no matter how good the thief is we know its going to be a blowout game by just holding 2 points.
I que on thief to lower (hopefully) the odds of getting one on my team. Swap before game starts.

kitten gonna do that with my team of 2-3 all get in the match with thieves and warriors so the MMR matches us vs thieves and warriors then switch. Thanks for the tip!

at least this topic will hopefully wake up anet into fixing those 2 classes, nothing agaisnt the thief and warrior class but kitten Anet had kittening 2 months to do something about it… they did kitten this patch not even 1 kittening buff…
There is 2 thieves, 2 warriors or 1 warrior 1 thief in my team, every kittening time we have that vs a good makeup, semi-premades, or premades we kittening lose, so kittening ban me now because Im not gonna even bother to participate until you fix warrior and thief so they can complement the teams, this is my official boycott.
Whats funny lightning rod goes bonkers when the Necro NPCs dies and does its channel attack while you have the aura on, it will proc 3 – 4 times in a row…
I just tested it again with D/WH Shocking Aura will only work properly if the npc is downed and disrupts you then if they do a channel attack it will proc lighting rod…
You do know that static aura only stuns when the enemy hits you while you have the aura? I’ve been using the dagger, activated the aura and let a npc hit me. They got stunned and got the dmg of lightning rod.
More details perhaps?
I swear I would hit the npc with dagger 1, turn my back do dagger 3, npc hits me and no proc, I wish I had a video…

I concur, tested it on NPC in Heart and its not even doing anything that the description says, it will only proc when I actually use the elec aura and the npc is using a channel attack.
What is not doing it? Lightning Rod is not damaging something? If you interrupt while target is blocking or evading, it will not deal damage due to the bug.
Actually shocking Aura does not proc lighting rod, is this intended?

if dragon tooth worked like scepter 3 Phoenix (graphic speed) I would be satisfied.
I concur, tested it on NPC in Heart and its not even doing anything that the description says, it will only proc when I actually use the elec aura and the npc is using a channel attack.
My main is a ele Water/Air/Tempest, so I decided to roll a Warrior, took about 2-3 hours to try and figure out what possibility this class has to be viable in spvp/pvp…. THERE IS NOTHING! I decided to go ahead and free a class slot because really there is no point in playing one in pvp right now. The only way this class can survive in a battle is to run the kitten away, or kill newbs in unranked…
I run Tempest/Water/Air and lol at DH’s, even when they are 2 with a chrono doing there chrone pull dh trap routine that insta gibs 4-5 players in 1 shot. Only idiots will rush a DH without paying full attention to there traps. Yes I get caught once or twice but thats my fault, DH’s without traps are nothing, once they trap the only thing they can do is pew pew with the bow and do no damage.
Not really interested in the other elements as I am quite happy with them since I rotate a lot. I find my dps in the fire element is lacking due to the animation of the fire 2 that is really long… Fire rotation does a kitten tone of dmg if your target stays under it… actually fire one I cant even see any animation when it hits my target, is it like Dagger earth 1?
My xmass wish list… Make scepter 2 “Dragons Tooth” drop a little faster, or make it do more damage if it even hits, its kinda useless atm in pvp…

The Red Cell guild is looking for casual players that are mature (ages 30+ preferred) that casually play this game and requires assistance doing the new HOT/Tyria content (HP, Mastery Points, 10 man Raids, story, and achievements).
We have a core group of solid, mature players who have gamed together for many years now. We want to expand on that group. We just created the RedCell guild after HoT went live and we are looking for more solid, mature, dependable and low drama members to join us and work with us to explore all of the content the game has to offer. Historically we have been a PvP guild who likes to also do the PvE content.
We are willing to provide the following (assistance) to our new members:
• Daily fractal runs. Regular Daily missions
• Helping out individuals get there HoT (HP, Mastery Points, 10 man Raids, achievement’s) content completed.
• Helping individuals get there ascendant or legendary resources by doing Tyria/HOT content.
• Active participation on TS/Mumble for coordinating efficiently in PVE raids, SPVP, or WVW.
What we expect from you:
• No drama and respect of other members.
• Active in on our Mumble server when online, communication is the key to developing camaraderie and central to feeling like we are collectively in this together.

• Contribution to weekly guild missions when available.

We just purchased the new guild hall and are starting the process to build it up. Our goal is to be about a 20 member guild of regular players, we are not looking for a huge influx of guild members so we can concentrate on content together and at the same time so we can work as a team more efficiently. Ideally we will have enough people online to make a difference in WvW, to do raids when we want to, guild missions and run random content together.
The bottom line is that we want explore all of the content the game has to offer while at the same time doing it with guild mates we enjoy interacting with on a daily basis.

yes exactly + the basic healing + the bonus resistence if you trait for it (even with resistence the malus from poison still applies, beware

only maps that I wish where on a fulltime rotation is Foe, Forest, and Temple… They should have an uncheck option for all maps, I dont mind waiting for the maps I mentioned when I queue for PvP.
This Meta is the worst out of all 4 maps, I don’t even bother going to the map and just grind 1, 2 and 4. Its already annoying that you have to travel underground go back up run around in circles that they made the Main Meta so difficult for regular pugs to do.
Stop defending DH…. you are comparing DH to a full tank thats also overpowered…. DH is going to get nerfed you cant stop it.
Good thing I have every class at 80… so if they do nerf Herald Ill just play DH and roll people till they nerf the class…
What would be nice if they added the challenging hero point in the LFG UI.
wholy kitten level 93 Mastery you kitteng grinded like a kitten, I just started yesterday completed the first map and im level 2, youre full of kitten if you just did that casually, Ive been probably playing for about 4 hours a day and this is just running around the first map getting the hero points and completing the map itself.
PVP 10/10 as usual always fun and easy to just login go in pvp and just bash it out vs other players using all the elite skills, which also gives me practice for the upcoming tournee’s.
PVE no clue havent touched the content waiting for Anet to nerf it when nobody does it anymore and make it more solo’able, eventually they will have no choice because most people have completed the first part and the “beginer” zones are almost empty.
WvW haven’t touched it yet either, waiting for the PVE Nerf if it ever comes to I can get my elite specs to do WvW.
is that hard? I got them pretty fast..
ITs not a question about being hard its about peoples perception, in other mmo when you have an expact usually it comes with level increases for “NEW” powers…
you shouldve just raised the character level equivalent to the requirements for the new elites spec’s, you would see less people kittening about how hard it is to get… People would’ve leveled there characters normally to lets say level 100 without saying a thing…
This expact is bs I dont even have SW because I dont pve, I only PVP so Im stuck looking for a way to get to the new map, why dont they just make a kittening portal at lions gate for kitten sakes.
I just joined yesterday and did my first WvW event with them, and I would like to say that these guys are good at it! Anybody on the Blackgate server should consider trying them out.
