So, I have gone on numerous days to restart the tree as it’s been dead, stayed in the area for about an hour then did something else, and as others state the tree is now permanently dead. This isn’t probably the only Dynamic Event permanently bugged, but it is the only one I have found right now. Please fix it as I bet a few people would like hopping up the tree once more, including those without the achievements for it. Thank you.

For Gw1, it was much better. You didn’t really have control of your character or anything, he would say random things, and it was hilarious to get drunk.

For Gw2, all I see is that everytime I dodge, I fall flat on my back. It’s entertaining…for those who randomly roll…and even that lasts maybe 2 minutes of fun, The screen gets blurry…but no random emotes or random /says or anything. I would love it if these returned from Gw1, especially if there was voice acting for it(couldn’t help but laughing at my character drunk talking with Tybalt…R.I.P. Tybalt…) Anyways, that’s what I would like. Thank you.

I did find that Ubuntu runs much better than Arch Linux, but what I’m also confused about is the fact that they don’t have support for Linux…BUT they use Linux servers.

Sadly games under wine does not meet as good performance as under windows.

Someone mentioned just yesterday I believe it was that he is using Wine and getting pretty much identical performance between that and his windows boot version.

Was it a gaming pc or no? I am running a 460m, granted I do not expect to run it on highest, I expect at least to run higher than the lowest graphics.

I was hoping to see if there was an upcoming Linux beta client; Mac beta seems to be doing fine, while I’m playing Guild Wars 2 within Window’s emulation through Wine. It…is lacking of the full experience, as I have a GTX 460m graphics card, and an i7 2.0ghz, yet I have to place my settings on the lowest to get any smoothness out of the game. I am not complaining, as it isn’t compatible, but I was yearning to see a Linux client sometime. Mac is Unix-baised, so it wouldn’t be that difficult.

For all those people who complain about skimpy clothing for women, here is the solution you were looking for!

Option #4: With that comes the 10% cornering the market.

They aren’t going to keep the mini’s, look at what they did with Guild Wars 1. You can’t get some items because they were once in a lifetime. The cogs and everything will be used for next year probably, but the mini’s will be different, and the 3 you couldn’t make will be gone forever. At least that’s what ArenaNet’s PR couldn’t deny for me when I talked to support

For the Mini’s, I asked Arena Net via their support line to see if they are making the mini’s a one-time this year event. Now this would be fine…if it was plausibly able to be achieved by all.

10% of us play the market for gold, and are rich. They have all the mini’s because of this and I salute them for being able to play the market and make it big.

10% of us are casual gamers, maybe get on every week or two to play, and I say go for it. They can’t earn the gold to transfer to gems, so they may purchase gems, IF, in real life, they are willing to do so.

For the people who aren’t either, the 80% of us, we struggle making enough gold per day for making maybe 3-5g without doing repetitive tasks, or we randomly do parts all over the world. We don’t have the gold, and for those who don’t have spare cash on them, bought gems, we struggle on getting gems for the events.

Now, I have three options that may make things at least less pressured for this:

Option #1: Have mini’s not be random.
With this option, we can buy the mini’s like Halloween, or how Wintersday is doing them I’m not picky, but make it so everyone can get the item from the event without hassle of the lottery. From the wiki, there were tests and it’s 1% for each “Masterwork” Mini, and .01% for the Quaggan. Playing the lottery for something that may disappear this Wintersday frustrates everyone, even the rich 10%. They could spend all their gold and still not get any(to extreme odds). The people who don’t have money, or gold, give up on the idea altogether. Having this option open encourages the flat rate for win to all, instead of envy of many.

Option #2: Have Wintersday Mystery Gifts drop.
This option allows us a way to get the random chance, without killing our wallets. We can farm on a fair drop rate of enemies, dropping rate for the lower level the enemy(so lv80’s can’t wipe out lv2’s and win instantly). This won’t make everyone happy, but it will allow the chance for everyone to get the items they want.

Option #3: Keep the Mini’s around for all Wintersdays
You can add more if you’d like, in fact more content would be appreciated, but don’t wipe out the old content. What if someone gets Guild Wars 2 for Christmas, tried to get enough gold for even one gift from the gem store, and it vanishes without any hope? Do they not deserve the mini’s as well? What about the people spending all their free time with the game, earning gold, trying…trying…and failing because their chance was ripped from them, and even if they wait a year they can’t ever get it back? This option is one I think should be implemented no matter the circumstance for the other two.

Now who is with me on any of these Options?

Is it me, or is this a huge money grab? I understand ArenaNet needs to make money to keep the servers up, but the Mystery Box is THE ONLY way to get a few mini’s(Mini Festive Golem, Mini Snowman, Mini Infinirarium.) This, accompanied by a disturbing posting I found from ArenaNet(not sure if it’s official), is that this year’s mini’s will not be obtainable after this year. Now what I’m complaining about is that…not only do we collectors get pressured for purchasing mini’s, but we only get a random chance, at said minis!? I thought this was a game you can achieve things IN GAME without the cash shop? Granted I’d gladly pay for the mini’s in store if I want them, but having a random chance, which was found to be a 1% chance at the mini’s, and a .01% for that quaggan, AND the fact that we can only get 2 out of 5 toys? Can someone from ArenaNet clear everything up here?

Seems quite impossible for nearly all groups other than a select few. What gives?

Every time I use Infiltrator’s strike, then I use Cloak and Dagger, the enemy will randomly teleport away from me so I have to search for the enemy and try to tactical strike them within the few seconds of stealth and immobilization, but most of the time the immobilization has worn off and then I get to blind them instead of daze like I wanted to combo. Please fix this as it’s annoying me when I’m trying to take down Veteran’s and Champions with the lack of others.

Well…I still don’t like the fact that I’m doing so many fractals, only to have them unaccomplished by the disconnects. I suppose I’ll avoid fractals until I get hard proof in the update notes that it has been fully fixed; not like the hot-fixes that nearly broke Cliffside Fractal…

I go into stealth to break eye sight, but when a Ranger uses rapid fire, he is able to fire at me all the time even if I go stealth before he fires his second shot. It isn’t JUST ranger, it’s any channeled skill. Inquest charge attack hit me while I was stealth and behind him, because he turned out miraculously and knew where I was at(this downed me too).

It shouldn’t be able luck to stay in Fractals. Hell at times EVERYONE from our group was kicked out of fractals. Just now we had a group that had the bugged colossus fractal, and 2 of us(including me) disconnected. We were on the third fractal too for lv.5, and we come to find out it is bugged from the other 3 as they killed the archdiviner and no additional enemies came. So that’s another problem; fail at fixing code for exploits AND the inability to make the dungeon fair.

You were able to fix exploits in a matter of days, but when it comes to making a dungeon not disconnect, or at least open it up like the other dungeons instead of the “no rejoin” policy? I’m quickly losing faith in your programming abilities.

It seems that no matter how good an internet connection someone has, someone WILL disconnect from the group. And because of this, and how fractals will NEVER be fixed to be like a normal dungeon, we are unable to have a full 5-man group to ever complete. It always dwindles to 4 or even 3 manning, and I find that this is crap. I want to enjoy fractals without the looming fact of “if you disconnect, you restart.” This is crap! I am only lv.5 and I have done over 40 fractals due to this issue. You fixed all the exploits, but you can’t fix it to be like dungeon that it is supposed to be? All other dungeons are cross-server, there isn’t much difference between it and another other than continue to ask to continue with the group or not. Too much hassle over something that is related to other dungeons. Nice going, fix it quickly or we will be raging further about this.

Haha, nice that you were also on fire with it, but you should’ve had a more close up view of it instead of looping it.

Has ANYONE noticed that Tier 2 and 3 cultural armor, if dyed yellow, would be super saiyan 2 and 3? If no one posts pictures I will at some point, it isn’t just mere coincidence.

I don’t know whether this was asked yet or not, but I know with legendary weapons you get footprints. This would be cool, but does it affect stealth? If so, doesn’t that actually hamper to a thief, as they gave themselves away after working hours upon hours to get a legendary weapon?

Now he is the question: How did you have Twilight out during the daytime if it’s eternity?

Here is another thought…isn’t arena net trying to avoid clipping weapons? Granted they screwed all males with medium armor from clipping while weapons are put away, BUT the severed arms cause much more clipping!

I, too, was influenced by Mad King Thorn and did that…I just couldn’t believe it worked! I mean seriously people I was standing RIGHT THERE lol.

It doesn’t matter for all the Overflow servers and the Darkhaven server, I gave each of them so much that they are all going to die from diabetes

Love the idea, never going to use it but it is clear people are just admiring their characters and if they dont see their character doing it by themselves they feel like they need to yell at everyone else. I had an asura tell me to stop running, and I’m a medium height skinny human! It’s ridiculous and I’m glad many people don’t think it’s “because that kitten charr” or “that kitten norn”.

It will increase when demand is high, and no one can get candy corn anymore. If you don’t want the staff I’d suggest holding onto it until a month after the event, then make a killing.

Solo’d as a Thief, Shortbow and positioning for the little ones, and sword/dagger for Mad Mocho himself; got feared off the ledge alot when I was killing the first set of monsters >.>

I don’t see the problem with large character frames within this event. I had a norn running side by side throughout most of it and it was easy if you took yourself more into the position on the screen instead of focusing at “Oh there is my character, HI ME!” It isn’t increased in difficulty because of character models, it is the fact that you want to look at your character, which isn’t a great plan anyways as it slows you down. I am a human, and I even get lashed at for having a “big character model” when mine is average height and skinny.

Loved the actual challenge of making it up there. Jumping puzzles like Obsidian in WvW and this one really make me like these challenges. I also love how Mesmers can’t help others complete it either, as this should be a challenge, not a “I pay you 1 gold and win”.
