I like the new reward track, but it could use some tweaking mainly about outnumbered buff.
Some people just switch to an outnumbered map just before the end of the timer hoping to get the +5 pip bonus, but as many people do this, of course no one get this, and the people that just switched are just mainly afk waiting to go back to their map when there is queue or just switching again when there is not.
It is sub optimal to the server in the matchup and unfair for those who really tried to fight while outnumbered and neither get the help of the bonus.
a solution would be to change the way participation is earned :
- each time the player switches map or the pip timer ends, the participation is reset.
- replace the need to 3rd level of particpation tu get pips with pips equal to your participation during this timer :
so instead of
* need to be at least 3rd level participation
* 1,2 or 3 depending of your server score in the skirmish
* + bonus from your rank, outnumbered and loyalty
it would be
* your level of participation (1 to 4) (that is reset at the end of each timer and when you switch map)
* 1,2 or 3 depending of your server score in the skirmish
* + bonus from your rank, outnumbered and loyalty
It would have two advantages to do this :
1) it would prevent afk farming and trying to abuse outnumbered buff
2) you could get pips a little faster as long as you are active
If there a way to have less of them in reward tracks.
I play mainly in WWW and sometimes I do my daylies on JcJ, so I have a load of them that I can’t use (well 10 a week if I am motivated to do a key farm, not very often) and they are of no use to me, since I don’t want to make another alt I won’t use.
Please can you make so we get less of them or give them some use (like when you have 100 of them you can level 1 mastery level)
or something like that

This is also false advertising for everyone who bought the game between the FAQ-Post and today. This is not the ArenaNet we knew.You really have a good hand on screwing your player-base and causing a rage-wave haven’t you? – the forums and reddit are exploding like hell and the people complaining are right.
it is totally ok to price the XPac with 50 bucks
it is totally ok to give the base game for free to new players*
it is totally ok to deliver different packs with different inclusions*BUT it is absolutely not OK to forget the loyal playerbase who financed the game over the past years. Where is the benefit for the Veterans?
I get more for my money if i create a new account than i get if i upgrade my existing one.If you include the Basegame to the HOT Pack it is totally obvious that its unfair for the existing veterans if they get nothing if they upgrade for the same price the new players have to pay.

I’m not upset about the price of HOT, pretty much what I was expecting.
Not upset about the core game being free from now on, since players will want the full game anyway.
But I expeted veterans players to have something either :
- a lower price (not by much something like the 10 bucks that the core game in the last sale)
or - having two separate code one for the core, one for HOT that would have at least allowed us to try and bring friends during the summer that would have bought HOT eventualy, so not a bad move financially either.
or - having a title and a free slot for long time players.
The problem is not the difficulty, yes it’s even a lot easier. And that’s the problem.
Already with feature patch 1 they had to make content from low levels zones easier to make up for the changes. But at least the pack 1 change made sense : they removed money from veteran players and gave incensitive to the ones that couldn’t or didn’t want to use their gold to explore the world.
And they had to make it even easier again to make up for those.
Because from the much easier content, the new players don’t learn more they actualy learn less.
Second it make downscaling uneffective. Arenanet said 2 years ago that players wouldn’t mind doing maps under their level because downscaling would maintain the map fun and chalenging enough. So people could do all five races starter areas before going up and aim to map completion without minding to much.
Now it’s just boring.
Because before the game was not difficult, my husband is a casual player and he didn’t find the content difficult at all 2 years ago. Except maybe for some personal story steps but that’s all, the open world content never was.
That’s 2 years I play now I never saw a new player complaining that open world content was ton difficult or that there was too many skills (more the oposite actually since people came from other games were you have so many much skills and have all of them available intead of just 5 weapon skill and 3 utilities). Because players rather have a lot of skill and just use two or three then two or three and be limited.
The downed system yes a litle but I think it is better to get used to it early instead of along the road where realy new people would ask themselves what it’s all about and why they have it all of the sudden.
It would have ben better to retire it all together from the game.
If they wanted to make the game less confusing they could have simplified the currencies system, we have so many of them : gold, karma, laurels, dungeon tokens, fractal relics …
They could have taken a step back with the “play as you want” by making ascended item soulbond on use and not account bound witch would have allowed players that don’t like crafting the opportunity to buy them. Instead of making the craft feel as if it’s mandatory.
Honestly I don’t see how they are going to attract new players telling them : You didn’t find the game attractive enough to years ago, so we didn’t add new content especialy at low levels but we make these those level so dumb and easy you won’t need to push two different buttons in a row for a while. Come get bored to death.

Let us trade. Let the TP work. Most of all don’t make me craft! I will buy gems to get gold and give it to players on the TP to avoid crafting.
Youre crafting system is the best I’ve ever used in an MMO. However, there is a segment of players that will NEVER like crafting enough to trade precious game time for it. Please let us spend our money.

My thougths exactly.
I wanna say thanks first for listening to the players about season 1 achievements, and queue issues on a lot of worlds.
What I think could still be improved is lasting effort in the tourney. And maybe weekly achievement is the way to do it.
Next time I hope all servers are together instead of being seperated between gold silver and bronze. The separation was necessary in season one when all matches were precalculed so that every server would fight every other one. But with the swiss type system it’s not necessary. With a little change to the point system : you get 5 for winning, 3 for being second, like before but 0points for being last.
Each week a mini meta with for example tower caping (5) , dolyaks killing (15), and mcm rank (10) witch reward you with get that week will depend on the result of that match up. (you get 25 tickets for winning, 10 for second place, 5 if you loose)
At the end of the tournament you get a chest with (250 tickets if you are in one of the 5 first servers, 50 tickets if you are in the last 5 servers, and 150 tickets for all others)
so it could be a 10 weeks long tournament with weekly for each match up
1st 5 points and 25 tickets profided you did that week achievement
2nd 3 points and 10 tickets with week achievement
3rd 0 point and 5 tickets with week achievement
meta
rank 1-5 250 tickets + a special title
rank 6 -21(NA)/24(EU) 150 tickets
rank 22-26 / 25-29 50 tickets
That way there should be more variation on witch servers you fight and there is a reason for fighting each week for all the duration of the season. Witch is better than people just completing the meta in a few days then complaining that it is too long.
The numbers of servers and the weekly personnal reward will make it more difficult to fix the match ups.
If the weekly is what I suggered it can’t be all done in EOTM just to of them.

The rewards at the end won’t be higher than this season (they wil in fact be lower since you’ll need to have won all your MU to get the 500 ticket reward for 1st place) but iI think it would be more of a competition.
I am not upset about the wxp they gain either. As wxp does nothing else than better wwww capacicty, if they are higher wxp rank they will be more usefull having more rank if they one day decide to play in WWW. So no problem here.
The gain in bonus in badge of honor could be either removed or added in regular Www too. But it’s not a big deal.
What bother me more is the fact that it’s really easy to do the season meta just staying in EOTM. I mean it’s great that for server that are really active in WWW players don’t have to wait in line to enter and do their meta. But that it is exploited so that players will have the title and reward while they didn’t contribute at all in their server ranking is kind of weird and unfair.
There are only two problems in my opinion :
-The JP being 4 of the achievements when they don’t contribute at all in the war effort (and actually as someone pointed out, hurt it when people take places to do them when so many players are awaiting in queus for hours to fight a little) only 1 achievement for all of those would have been more than enough.
-The number of achievement needed for the meta. It should be lower, if you get between 8 and 10 of the achievements you can they you have actively participated to the ligue anyway (except for the JP ones of course) and you can still have played it the way you are more suited to or want to. Use siege weapons or roam play in CBE or frontals as you want.
Or if they really want to get us to try out a little of everything they could have split all achievement like they did with player count. One little to say we have tested out the thing and a bigger one to say we master it.
Easy one :
-10 players (already implemented)
- 1 Stonemist
- 3 walls/gates
-5 fort
- 10 supply
- 20 sentry
-20 dollyaks
-do one of the 4 JP
…
Then an advanced one with the number they have now. and only one achievement for JP doing at least once all four of them. Then the player could have chosen how they wanted to contribute to WvW.
But they won’t change that now, hope it gets better in the 2nd season.

Same with when a patch with addition to the BLC is coming up.
The rule however seems to be the gems slowly go up in price with the increase of gold money IG (obviously) and peak when there is an interesting sale or a brand new shiny to buy there. Then the sale value brutally goes down again and start going slowly up.
So if you are not in a peak you should either buy now and wait for the next peak and sell then, or wait for just after the next peak, buy and wait for the one after that to sell.
But otherwise it’s not a good item to speculate on, but a rather safe long term investment for example if you plan to not play for a while and have fall out money when you come back, gems would be the safer thing to spend your money on, the rest would be too much patch dependant.
Yes orr events farming is a nightmare for mesmer especialy since we can’t launch a phantasm on a mob that is invul. Now mobs there go from invul to dead in 1sec, son you can you use sword 2 and mind wrach to try and tag the event but you won’t get any loot with that.
Karkas are really easy to farm with focus and feedback however, just go in the cave near the spawn point and hope noone will be launching the event.
From my perspective there are mostly creatures from Orr and the one Orrians fought against that are turned :
Zhaitan corrupted ancient Orr creature to fight for him and when they kill someone they send their corpse to be turned to so races that are not actively fighting the risen have less to no people being corrupted. Since they are almost none of them being turned they seem to think they are less concerned so they don’t go and fight activelly against them … Like a circle. However it is not because we don’t semme to meet any of those races that are turned mean there are none, maybe they are just very few when you compare it to humans and garillas on Orr for exemple.
The only race really immune from what we know is Sylvari.
First the 1c undercutting “problem” isn’t one for items that are in really high demand. It is only a problem for high cost and low demand items.
But for legendary for example there are still very few people that have the kind of cash allowing them to buy one. So I don’t understand why people trying to sell one put them on the TP I wouldn’t go like this at all.
Op used dawn at 400g20s2c as an example, the player putting this offer add to pay the 5% taxe just to put out the offer, and will have to loose another 10% when someone buys it not knowing when this will happen and the risk of being constantly undercutted by 1C is always here.
Why not simply put a message on fan forums telling that you are selling dawn for example monday at noon server time provided the asking price is no less than 400G.
You potential clients would be the ones having to put their announcement on the TP with no fee anyway so that wouldn’t matter to them.
And as the end time appoaches their will be client trying to overcut other ones by 1 or 2 copper but it will be in your advantage.
When the time come you sell to the highest bidder even if another player had the same legendary to sell at most you would loose a few copper (plus the taxes from TP but that will always be the case)
Worst case scenario : noone bid above your starting price either you were too greedy or you didn’t advertise enough since you announced your starting bid in advance you don’t sell right no, rĂ© evaluate your item and make more advertisement for the next week.
Easy to do (even if it is a little time consuming but people selling legendarys don’t lack this I think) and no more undercutting problems.
The mesmer that are complaing are just playing the whole class wrong.
They just have to realize this class is not meant to be played past level 2 when you finish the tutorial.
Then you go to Spvp and other people will complain how strong you are because you are not a simple upfront damage class.
So of course now mesmer are complaining that the have a hard time geting more than bronze on orr events and can only dream of getting any loot. But they are not supposed to, otherwise the dev wouldn’t have nerfed the DPS of the least played class in the game.
So smart up mesmers and don’t try to get your 3rd level.
That theory will probably pop out a lot until we know who the 6th dragon is. So here is my variation on the same idea.
There are a lot of similarities between elder’s dragons minions and sylvaris, and one big diference : they are free willed.
But the pale tree also produce sylvan hounds witch are not, and could control the sylvaris via two things : the wild call witch is a long quest, or just a simple order : the calling, so the sylvari are free minded but they could have not been.
Also known elder dragons transform their minions in mindless creatures that only do their biding but they can do otherwise if they so choose. They still obey their master but they keep the ability to think so they have no free will but they are not mindless either.
So all the mechanics are there for the sylvaris to be dragons minions, however the pale tree is certainly not an elder dragon (they were others seeds like the one that created her, and at least one other grown tree producing ‘sylvaris’ ).
She doesn’t seem to be a dragon champion either.
So maybe she is an accident that wasn’t suposed to happen at all. Not that the tree itself exist, but that it has it’s own personality. maybe the tree was just supposed to be a tool to spawn the minions : a plant that is a plant (funny pun by the way).
But because the seed was stolen and didn’t grow when or where it was supposed to, or maybe the plant creature that were garding it didn’t had the time to perform all the rituals, it wasn’t properly connected to the elder dragon and since there was something missing it connected with ventari tablet intead and created an identity the mother tree.
So sylvaris should have been the 6th dragon minions but weren’t, and instead of the dreams of dreams they should have been brainwashed (except there was still nothing to wash away) into doing is biding. The problem with that idea is malick, since he didn’t seem to be a minion either but maybe he was a blank slate because his pod detached before he was mature and had not been under the influence of the dragon equivalent of the dream of dreams yet.

Arenanet already stated that WvW was meant to be a 24/7 fight.
That’s because WvW is not meant to show off skill anyway, you have Spvp for that you put out a 5 man team in fair fights that happens at the time that is the more convenient for you.
The only thing that could be proven by a good WvW score is the capacity of one server to organize itself anytime using one objective, and the number of people on that server dedicated to that.
The score are only meant to keep the servers fighting other servers that are as near as possible strength and population wise.
If in FS they don’t feel they have fun fights in WvW, why do they do it at all ? If they have fun fights what are they complaing about ?
Guild wars 2 is trying to allow players to have an outlet for a lot of different game tastes PvE/SPvP/RvR.
The only thing missing in fact is guild scale fights.
Night capping is an issue and it's ruining the fun for everyone involved

It would be a good idea if there was a bunch of servers for each timezone, it is not the case : USA are on several timezones, and other continent, not EU are probably playing on american servers too (execpt russians I think they play on EU servers).
The only real way to counter nightcappers it is to have night teams, it is possible, even if it is not easy I don’t think there is any server with 0 players at night time. You may have less number but you can counter that by plaing exclusively on one map, with the number of players limited by map you would be outnumbered on the map you decided to play that much.
You are going to object that if you protect only one map at night you still loose a bunch of points, but it would initiate a whole new dynamic, and probably you will have a lot more players that already are playing at night more willing to help out instead of staying in PVE because they are not enough.
