Scavenger Hunt
By talking to a npc in Lion’s Arch, you will gain a Candy Meter and one Personalized ToT Bag. The Candy Meter is used to detect Suspicious Locations and needs 1 Candy Corn per 4 uses or until you unequip the bundle. These are currently restricted to Krytan areas, so don’t go looking around too far!In addition to the ghosts you need to search for this event, there are also fixed areas that reward you with more Personalized ToT Bags! At the end of the hunt, you also get a unique skin equipment piece usable by any level character. There may an
Personalized ToT Bag Is The Casual Way to Gain Crafting MatsThe difference between these and regular ToT bags are that they are soulbound. However, the contents you gain after opening them are tradeable! These contain the Candy Corn, rare Halloween mats, etc. that you can get from the normal ToT bags. There are at least 32 ToT bags worth around the 5 sites the ghosts are located per character per day!
Assuming you only have your 5 characters, that is at least 160 free Personalized ToT bags each day before the server resets at 5pm PST. Gaining all those Candy Corn stacks and high quantities of the other Halloween mats just got a lot easier didn’t it? This is just with Act 1 locations. Imagine the added ToTs you can get when more sites get added in future acts. Your welcome =)
Can you expand upon this one some more? I didn’t know there were personalized ToT bags. I thought they only came from random drops. These are around the spots where you get the books?
This is more of a question directed at Arenanet
I spent about 20 bucks on keys and didn’t manage to get a skin. Yes I was disappointed. No, I don’t think A-net owes me a skin or a refund. I knew the risks
Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing the drop rate upped a little or having them moved to the Gem store. But that is all besides the point.
My question is this: Will these same exact skins be back next Halloween? or is this it? It would be nice knowing there is another shot at em.
Well I Managed to get it done on both my Necro (15) and my Ranger (13). Bout to grab it on my theif (15 as well). There were a few “Oh kitten!” moments running past the centaurs lol
Cool. Thanks for the reply.
I’m trying to get that book backslot item for my necro but he is only 15 at the moment. I was wondering if anyone has had a low level character that has managed to make it to the 6th book and if so how hard was it?
Honestly, the way the drop rate is now for the new skins, you probably had the same chance to find one last night than today lol.
20 bucks down the drain. Feels like a punch in the gut
Just managed to get to the Arah entrance where the personaly quest marker is. Looked around trying to find the instance indicator only to find out it is a dungeon mission and that a group is needed. Very disappointing.
I’m a fellow necro and I approve the message.
(seriously though, I would kill to be able to use a GS)

Necro Trait Synergy, Damage, Builds, Tradeoffs and Greatsword (PVP perspective)
in Necromancer

I have always been a huge fan of the hexblade in DnD. A necro using a greatsword would be the closest thing this game has to a hexblade so I support it 100%.
Much like Xecil, I wouldn’t care how much dmg it did just as long as it was an option. Hell, I would even pay for something like that (insert “take my money” meme here)
Armor that is currently equipped can no longer be transmuted.

try to un-equip the armor and then transmute it?
This
I think an interesting idea would be to make armor upgrades available from the toughness trait line.
Example: A mesmer spends 10 or 20 points in Chaos (toughness) and is able to unlock a trait for medium armor. Then if that mesmer spends 20 or 30 points in that trait line they could unlock heavy.
For warriors and guardians wanting to go backwards (ie medium or light). . . well, I have no idea what to do for that.
I’m currently holding off on completing zones lower than my level because someone from Arenanet stated in another thread that the rewards for completing them were supposed to scale to your level. The rewards I’ve gotten for completing other zones have been items that are appropriate for that level and not for my characters current level.
Is this something Arenanet is working to fix? Has it been discussed in any other threads that I may have missed?
Here are a few of my suggestions.
1. A few weapon skins or the option for one handed weapons that sheath on your back. When playing as a thief with daggers it is hard to see the weapon skin sometimes under our armor.
2. Once we hit 80 and have completed our story, allow us to replay it again with all missions scaled to 80 and allow us to choose new options. That will give the option to those who like only playing one character, a chance to see more of the story.
3. Mounts (even if they only add a small boost to movement speed)
4. Player housing. If you are going to copy any company on this, please copy Everquest 2. I think they have some of the most robust housing options of any MMO out there right now. Allow us to choose what city we would like a house in, floor plan, furniture, etc.
5. More weapon options for each class. I played a melee Necro/Warrior in guild wars 1 (yes I know it wasn’t that great a combination) and I would kill to be able to use a greatsword in melee as a necro (like everyones favorite glory-hogging necromancer, Trahearne)
6. Closet or wardrobe storage. I try to collect as many sets as I can and would love to have a separate storage tab for any armors I don’t want to transmute at the moment but would like to hold on to. Especially since bank slots are shared across characters
