I’m planning on using my level 80 boost on a Rev. I have 13 characters at 80 already so this isn’t my first by far.

I left the game just before HoT dropped and came back about 3 weeks ago.

Looking for a decent build and gear stats for a fresh 80 Rev.

I plan on some PVE along with a little WvW.

Not looking to be a god in either…just looking for something with decent damage and survivability.

Also I know MetaBattle is a thing but I don’t see much there for what I’m looking for as a fresh 80.

I don’t have the expansion yet. I guess I’ll log in and look at things before I decide.

I left the game a month or so before the expansion came out and am wondering if it’s easy to get back into it or has too much stuff changed making it difficult?

I was always fairly casual. I have one legendary and never got into crafting ascended items.

Just debating getting back into it.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 5000 and noticed recently I’m having problems with the right click button. Sometimes when I try to turn my screen using the right click or character using the double mouse buttons I have to click the right button 2 or 3 times for it to work. Only happens in game.

Been getting a lot of lag and DCs today. My internet is fine so it has to be the game.

Well,I don’t know if i HAD to do it again but i did it. It took no time at all since i already knew what to do. Picked up a few achievement points along the way.

I clicked replay on Entanglement..so I am wondering if i have to replay it all over again for this section of the story to advance?

If so can i get back to the journal part without having to replay it again?

I hit replay for the new story after I’m pretty sure it was finished. I know I have the achievements unlocked for it now but will the story advance for me if I don’t go through this whole section again?

Yeah I don’t mind waiting. Just frustrating to not be able to use the colors I want.

Yes..it says 0 charges as it should for dyes and as I said in my first post when I click apply i see the colors change in the hero panel but when i close that the actual armor colors are still default. When I open the hero panel the colors there are set at default again as well.

I put in a support ticket yesterday and so far that hasn’t done me any good.

I bought the Flamekissed light armor skin a couple days ago and i am not able to dye it. I select the color I want and when I click apply i see the colors change in the hero panel but when i close that the armor is still default color. When I open the hero panel the colors there have reverted back to default as well. If I change armors whatever armor I put on is the Flamekissed default colors and the only way I can change them is to use the dye remover tool. This doesn’t work with the Flamekissed as I can’t remove the default colors.

This has gone on for a couple days now. People have suggested restarting the game client which I have done many times with no luck. I have also tried restarting my computer.

Anyone have a fix for this or should i just ask for my 800 gems back?

Yea it announces to all your friends that you are online once you hit Log-In on the launcher and then announces you go offline when you go invisible.

Wasn’t sure where to post this so here it is.

When you hit you character select screen there’s an option to go invisible. At this point can people who have added you as a friend see that you are online or do they only see you once you select a character and actually get into a map?

Sometimes I just feel like playing and not talking to a bunch of people so I go invisible but I’ve always wondered if people can see me at the character screen and then see me vanish when I click invisible.

As far as kiting..I’m pretty good at it. I mained a hunter in WoW for 4 years.

Axe/Sword could be interesting.

Just wondering. I’m mainly PVE and leveling a new warrior. Not sure why but dual sword looks like it’d be fun. The Torment might not be that great but some mobs do try to flee. I was thinking more along the lines of the block from Riposte might be helpful.

Do I have to have story mode done for a dungeon to be able to enter explore mode using the LFG tool?

Assuming someone with explore unlocked is in the group and opens the dungeon.

I was leveling an alt by cooking to 400. At 400 I wanted to craft some Omnomberry Bars for my higher levels and went afk…I came back and stopped after I noticed I had gained quite a few levels. Would hate to be banned because of this.

After about a 4 month break from the class I am looking to pick up the Necro again.

I ran S/D with Staff as my swap and I’d just gather up mobs,melt them down and move on. Is this still a good way to go? I know there have been a lot of changes in this amount of time so I wanted to check. If so what gear stats am I looking for?

I’m talking mostly PVE leveling. Once I hit 80 and want to do dungeons I might look into something else.

How is this build post patch?

Still leveling but I like to have a build idea to work for as I level.

I have been running dual bow for a few levels now and I like it a lot. I mostly use the SB for single targets. When I get to events with champs I go to LB for 2,3,5 skills then go back to SB for the machine gun speed as well as the bleed and it’s working well.

I run duel Bow and run a 30/30/5/5/0 build. I do very well in PVP and PVE with this build. Lots of dodging nice touch of regen and depending on what you use in the utilities its a solid build.

Sounds good…What gear and weapon stats do you use?

Also what are your 30/30 traits? I assume Quick Draw and?

I’m looking for a general place to start for a build using SB main and LB second set for PVE and events/champs.

I’m not looking for people saying it’s a terrible idea to dual bow or how bad it is or whatever. I just want to try it out but am terrible at builds.

If I could get just some good basics for traits and gear stats i could probably work out the rest or change it to fit what i want.

Thinking more about probably power and crit builds and less about condition.

I do have another 80 and a couple in the 60’s.

I still haven’t decided if I will delete the Ranger or not. Might just wait and when I come into some extra cash buy more character slots.

I leveled a Ranger to 80 as my first character. I haven’t touched him in months. For some reason I just don’t care for it and I’m debating deleting him to free up a character slot.

I have deleted probably 20+ characters of various levels from 5 to 60 trying to find the class,race,story I like. I guess I’m an altoholic.

Not sure why I am posting this or what I am wanting in reply.

Just curious if anyone has or would do it.

I think when I hit 30 or 40 I’ll give GS another shot as well as some other options and see what I like best.

So if I go GS what type of build should I look at for PVE?

Let me start by saying my warrior is only level 22 and I am still learning the class so please forgive my ignorance.

I have seen it a few times posted on these forums and others that for PVE leveling any weapon is fine until level 30,then go GS and never look back.

I’d like to know why this is.

I found the GS boring and the HB skill misses a lot with mobs moving constantly.

After testing many weapons I am currently running dual axe/rifle and find it fun and am able to kill 3-4 mobs at a time with ease. If at level 30 or beyond GS is really that much better then I might have to consider switching.

For those who don’t want to copy/paste I’ll break it down.
0/15/5/30/20 with Sig Mastery,Superior Aria,Two Hand Mastery, Empowering Might,Master of Consecration and Absolute Resolution.

Weapons are GS and Mace/Shield.

Not sure why he has Sig Mastery when the only Sig he is using is Resolve.

The Utility skills are Hold the Line,Retreat,and Sanctuary. Elite is Tome of Courage.

My Guard is currently in the 30’s and I’m looking for a better build to get into when I hit 40.

I am looking for a build that will give me some DPS for PVE solo as well as survivability on Champions as well as DEs and some of the stronger mob groups.

I use a scepter for these now to keep me at range and I find it boring and would like to stay in melee range but I’m pretty squishy.

I see a utility skill or so I might change but I’d really like some opinions on this build and the type of gear (stats wise) I’d need to pull it off.

Looking for a good a build/weapon combo to go along with the GS. I currently have scepter for champions and such but I find that boring and would like to stay in melee range.

What would be the best weapon combo and build to keep me alive for champs but still give good DPS with the GS?

I am mostly PVE/solo. Currently low level but I am looking for any help I can get.
