Glass longbow rangers can auto attack for over 4k crits at 1500 range against heavies and are a huge pain on a normally sustainable character. Glass staff eles come close but are a lot more aoe oriented. Power necro wells can do a lot but usually only on rez piles or choke points, otherwise everyone moves out of them. Most condi specs are pretty easily negated by cleanses in zergs and epidemic can be a huge pain to land sometimes.

They reset the wvw traits and said there would be no more resets throughout the season. Does that mean they’re seriously not implementing account bound for the features patch even though it was announced to be in development months ago? Because I don’t see how it could work if they don’t reset the points and now I’m not sure if I should spend them.

Sooo was this given up on…… or what? Because I’ve played GW2 constantly since launch and never gotten a single precursor while I watch the same people get one every other week as loot drops. Makes me wonder what kind of “RNG” system this game has…

Why not start with nerfing the zerg mentality that makes larger numbers so effective, regardless of organization? Enlarge the maps, making objectives take longer to get to and add more terrain advantages for small groups to use against larger numbers. Lengthen the time it takes to rez someone from fully dead by a large amount, which does not speed up with more rezzers. Possibly make it impossible to rez from dead when you are in combat. All of this would limit the mobility of a large group, especially if they’re uncoordinated. Put a cooldown on how often people can take a separate portal so people don’t try using mesmers to bypass the larger maps. Think about fixing the coding in the game so that the aoe cap can be raised. Encourage items, abilities, and traits that promote reaction-based gameplay and not just the spamming of 1 or 2 buttons (i.e. perplexity runes and many condi builds). Scale rewards based on how many people completed the event (yes, this may deter some pve’ers, but is that such a bad thing given the current karma training state WvW is in?). An actual combat advantage of some sort to the outnumbered server on a map would be nice and has been asked for for a while now. And if you wanna help move population from higher-tier servers to the lower ones, lower que sizes, at least on the borderlands, where most people trying to avoid the lag go, and open up free transfers (limited to servers with stacked populations) to the lower-rated servers for a short time, with each server’s window ending shortly after reaching a certain quota. This could be repeated until all servers are relatively even in either WvW population or scoring. You still have to ask, though, if everyone really wants to have the same population or if some people are happier in smaller servers and some in larger, just as long as they fight similarly-situated servers.
You’ve created an open-world PvP game mode where actual PvP is increasingly looked down upon. Please stop catering to the easy mode players who want to turn it into the next champ farm.

No to number one. Zergs are already buffed enough by guard stacks, orb bonuses, and the general lack of any downside to bringing far more numbers than needed in this game. Also, it would make roamers start running tags, which nobody wants.

I wish we’d stop getting higher ranked servers, not because of the population difference (I could give a kitten about the arbitrary scoring system when populations are this skewed), but because you literally can’t find one person apart from the 50 man zerg they all seem to think is uber to run in. NSP rolled Kain and BP this week and 90% of the people I know pretty much took the week off to pve. I know for a fact none of the servers above them are any better. Higher tier thinking is killing my longevity in this game…

Here is a guy from Ferg’s crossing that glitched himself into Lang. I entered lang then he did Whirlwind assault and he was inside able to kill me. In the 1st picture he accepted my party invite and I got his name. He said “It was a accident” when he entered Lang twice.

Teleporting into towers and keeps is quite intentional since it requires a certain spot on the wall to get in with judges. And he obviously kept doing it/used it to his advantage. Which is an obvious exploit.

He looks like a ghost to disguise what he actually looks like, so if someone screenshots him, he can’t be identified. Only real use for that tonic.

youre funny though. I used it at the front gate, attempted to do a JI + WW combo before he got into the gate but I was too late. too my surprise I still downed him and somehow I was inside the tower. a bit later after that I wanted to see if I could do it again from the same spot and it worked; I left immediately after. I use the tonic because it looks good.. I always use the tonic.. look at my sig. the glitched gate at langor requires no special positioning except that you be in front of it apparently. so lols on you

I have absolutely zero problem with whatever XOXO/SPCA or whoever that wants to run with a larger NSP force. No problem there, whatsoever.

Here is the problem. When we are called zerging trash by people who wear the same guildtags as people we see when we are fighting 5v15 it bothers me. I have no problem with them being in the fight.

Aside from a couple of people, that’s called trolling and has nothing to do with anything in-game. Trolls have no “respect,” so your crusade on the interwebz to make it a family-friendly environment isn’t going to end the way you’d hope. This is exactly the type of arrogance that isn’t needed in the game. And, if there is a queue, duelers need to take it sPvP. I know this really doesn’t exists on my Tier. I’d make certain they were Zerg Rolled for taking up the queue.

sPvP isn’t for dueling and if there’s a que, go to another map. You get the same PPT difference from taking something in one map as any other. If you really need a full que size in one map to get a big enough zerg to do anything, it’s rather sad.

Yes you speak only of those who are having “fun dueling”. None of the money players spent is towards dueling. They spend money on other items for other areas of the game, there is nothing in the mall for “dueling” in the manner they have set up.
Just as many, if not more players that do not duel whether they are for it or against it, spend money, yet you refuse to acknowledge their idea of fun to sneak up on camps or play WvW as described in the advertising that is supported by Anet are undeserving of a voice or an opinion. That they need to adapt to those players that are forcing content & social rules otherwise be ridiculed & pay repair bills that not even the duelers pay, when they accidentally or unintentionally run into a duel that they had no clue that content existed. You are implying that the fight club is the only voice that counts & Anet will lose soo much money if they don’t let fight club have it exactly their way with no boundaries. Meglomaniacs FTW. I am asking Anet to commit to an official stance on the issue~ say the spot is the designated spot or for them to lay out community guidelines that duelers & non duelers can mutually respect. Not really. No one cares about it to anywhere near the buttmad level you’re at. The hell would it matter either way? People who like to pvp, people who like to zerg, and people who do both are going to think differently. Anet still wants them all to play their game.

You do realize no one is getting banned over something this stupid, right? No announcement of a “temporary official spot” is going to stop people from messing it up and with or without an announcement from the fight club police, people are going to find ways to duel on their own. Again, Anet will not throw the money either side is giving them down the drain because someone was buttmad about getting killed in WvW.

It’s called player interaction. Kind of a big part of the MMO aspect. No one “created content,” they just chose to play it with more pvp and less pvdoor. Where in the ToS does it say it’s acceptable to eat lunch while playing the game, to roleplay in Queensdale, or to afk in WvW for the sole purpose of ranting about people spending too much time on pvp and not enough zerging down doors? Where does it say any of these are unacceptable? You have no argument.

Dueling is possible, ergo it is part of the content. I’m pretty sure nobody gives a crap what anyone has to say about their “support” of it when all it’s intended for is fun… in a game… in the only place you can really do it within that game. It doesn’t require a stamp of approval you numbnuts and there will never be a report option entitled “dueling”. Maybe if you were a little smarter, you wouldn’t be messing up duels and having these things happen to you. Btw, those other people who kill you in the camp are playing by your rules. Games that promote & support dueling have dueling settings made especially for ALL members of the community to see there is a duel. PWI, FW, Cabal, Aeria etc etc all have a dueling option which is different than their arena, pvp, GvG, nation or their forms of WvWvW.

This game does not. People made one. Move on.
Edit: And not having the foresight to include a place to duel doesn’t automatically infer lack of support. To think no one should ever want to have arranged 1v1s or XvX with other players who enjoy pvp in any game is just ignorant. If Arenanet really hated dueling as much as some idiots I can think of they’d do something about it. Something that would lose them money. Gl with that.

Sorry but running anything over 8 in this game just isn’t impressive. You can wipe 25-30 with 8 people, anything over that number just jacks through the roof, and the number of skills used per player drastically decreases.

Gotta say that was some awesome fighting you guys showed taking back your SE tower in NSP BL last night, right up to the part where you wiped 5v15 3 times in a row and then proceeded to stand out by the sentry for so long that everyone went to sleep.

He didn’t say “sometimes” and your groups have definitely run from some fair fights. Might wanna look a little more into who your new recruits are. Also, I’ve seen PAXA in 15+ groups of people too. Might as well go whine on the forums about it.

Since you seem to have some vivid details about who is running, why not share? No offense Andro, but I have a hard time imagining anyone running from a fight against equal numbers. Like Osif said, you sure there wasn’t 30 people in the area that they wanted to pull away from? It sounds like sour grapes, especially considering Osif just posted a video of someone from XOXO doing the exact same thing you are accusing us of.

I’ve never been in a PAXA group that has had more than 8-9 people in an area, and it’s only been when we’ve had multiple groups in the area trying to bust up a zerg. I’ve been a part of that once, and wanted to take a shower afterward. We consistently run in groups of 5 or less, and I think you’ll have a hard time arguing against that. Considering the size of the guild, we couldn’t even field more than 8-9 if we wanted to.

I really don’t think there’s anyone from NSP that can call us out for numbers. Like us or not, we run smaller numbers than any other guild in this tier, and we’re very consistent in that. Aside from random solo people, we’re the smallest group that’s out in WvW. I’m not going to get into individual guilds doing this or that as it’s pretty evident what we see everyday. There are some talented players that run in larger groups than I would expect, but that’s their choice. I wish they would try to run in smaller groups, but I’m sure they have their reasons.
