Just a quick question here… why are (almost) all of the players you want to have in the show still active professionals? Toad mentioned that there will be three representatives from every region (EU and NA) so why not one active professional, one inactive professional (somebody that quit a while ago but still watches the game’s progress and would want to come back) and one active casual player? Wouldn’t that encourage much more interesting dicussions?

That is something we actually just discussed, also someone mentioned above that this will be a 2/3 month thing and we will forget about it.
As of now, this is a one time thing. This will not be a show for views.
One of the trends I see in the post is about negativity, again I will say we will not be bashing arena net or gw2. We love the company, its filled with great people and the game as a whole is awesome. This will be our way of expressing the feelings we have about pvp and explaining why. Alot of times on stream we say things but we can’t explain because chat gets side tracked and such.

So again, this wont be a witch hunt of arena net.

I love that you guys are letting us know how you feel about this and jumping on board with us. The more you support it the more the devs will want to watch it.

I believe the next “big” pvp patch is a few days before the 21st? So I guess we will be able to discuss that as well.

@HammerHeart we are actually setting it up to where you guys call in and ask questions This will def not be a “lets just get good players and talk about stuff people already know”

Let me say this,

THIS WILL NOT BE A COPY OF STATE OF THE GAME, that is the devs way to communicate with the community.

State of the Mist will be the streams/top tier players way of expressing how we (the community) feels. It will not be a rant nor will it be a bash of arena net and the game.

The current cast for this is as follows:

Moderator/Host – Scar
Eu Representative – Helseth
Na Representative – Fuzion

We will be adding 2 more speakers from each region, for out side points of view.

Keep the ideas rolling as well as the support.

We will be advertising as much as possible.
If you guys want to help spread the word, that would just help the community as a whole even more

We will be keeping the guesting on the show very minimal maybe 2 or 3 people + me hosting

BUT we will be trying to set up a way for you guys to call in to us and actually ask us your questions on stream instead of having to type it in chat

There will def be the blunt questions. We wont be beating around the busy by any means.

All uncensored..no scripts.
This will NOT be state of the game, this will be all player opinions.

Do you like the idea?
What do you want on it?
What questions do you want answered?
Who do you want on it?

Please reply here with some ideas and we may just incorporate them.

This is a constant talking point between Hegemony and myself, we are looking much more into it as PAX comes closer and the guild wars 2 viewership grows. We think the community has responded extremely well to our stream channel and feel as if you guys would support us in our next step of having a monthly show. Its only been 5 days and already we feel like we are getting to know each and every one of you! From Nero’s skyhammer strats to #EsportsBanana to actually eating bananas,we have enjoyed every moment of the stream. Tomorrow will be our official launch with our set schedule.
We want it to be just a normal day for us, we will however be running some viewer games and of course MOAR GOLD GIVE AWAYS.
The feed back we have received is so great! I think I speak for the entire stream team when I say we never thought it would be such a great hit with the community. I know when I pitched the idea to hege he was a little boggled on what exactly I had in mind. But here we are, 4 days and 50k views later and you guys seem to love it

Any how, continue to give us feed back, continue to chat with us and of course continue to support. If there is something you don’t like we want to hear it!

Ok enough reading, go back and watch the stream! I’m sure someone is eating some sort of fruit as I type this.
