this has been brought up probably as many times as the mounts suggestion. I don’t think anet will ever do this. I personally have 16 characters and 15 of them have 100% map completion cause its not as bad as most people say it is. don’t do it in a marathon session just spread it out like do a zone every couple days or something.
as was suggested in a previous post with this suggestion I don’t care if people want the easy way to get the waypoints with some in game gizmo that unlocks them all. however you should have a trade off for that convenience. for example if you choose that route you can no longer get map completion at all for the character in question.
the last couple days of the season it was pretty much Capricorn after Capricorn and you also had 3 months to do it… if you didn’t finish/start its your own fault. it was a BETA map after all
there is a quote from a dev somewhere here that says there will be a season 5. with that in mind do some but don’t kill yourself over it
i say bring it back. if people want to team up together then longer queue times should be the trade off.
its just a bad patch for you. I opened about 30 or so supply cache’s in tangled depths yesterday and got probably 20 sparks myself. apologies if that isn’t what you want to hear
krysard is right though. just play unranked. matches are better in my experience this season.
you can do that. as was said just add the people and make your own team. i’d leave 1 person out though so you don’t go against other 5 man premades
anything else? I did that for the others but no menu appears for him
I see that I need to complete a turai ossa reward track for the miniature. however I can’t seem to find where to unlock it. at least I can’t figure out how to unlock it like the other ones. any advice or is it just not possible right now to get it?
if someone could provide an English translation for me I would appreciate it
not sure what you are complaining about. more info plz
hope you feel better. now take a deep breath and put that nose back to the grindstone
Adjust your comps or be prepared for the blow outs. People still insist on not profession swapping if you’re, collectively, at a disadvantage based on team composition.
Or hold anet accountable to actually you know balance something.
ok since I don’t care anymore how bout you restrict the foes you fight to ones in your tier. should make for more even matches but will take longer to match them up. I’ve heard that the starting range is 15 pips /- and it gets wider from there. so if you are sapphire how is it competitive to face a team of people 15 pips ahead of you?
Very dissatisfied with PvP, particularly this season 2.
Nobody likes to to lose, and it’s the way in which one loses that makes it most unpleasant;
…yes, Scrapper/Reaper/Rev is a bit overtuned, but overall I like S2 a lot better because there is no more force 50% win rate.
Also, people need to understand that this is a competitive game mode. There will be winners, and there will be losers. If you don’t want to lose, you gotta play better. No one can change that except you.
there is nothing competitive about the season. 95% of matches are decided before the clock even counts down. and yes the season appears to working fine for you. grats on being on the + side of coin.
anet said that 5 man premades wouldn’t face a full group of pugs. that being said a full pug group could face: 2+1+1+1 or 3+2 or 3+1+1 or 4+1
If they’re good, then the 3/4 player team will move beyond your tier soon enough, if not, well, doesn’t really matter.
and up until that happens you are their fodder for pips leaving you in match making hell because you drew the short straw and kept getting paired to fight against said team.
so you got a match against a pve guild and stomped them. grats
and also I see the premade had a couple emeralds and an amber. grats again for fighting people that had no business being matched against your team
not saying it won’t work. just saying that guy is claiming to be on a 73 game losing streak and about a minute later saying he has won 26
Nice guide dude. I hope people read this, because I followed this advice and here are the results:
1, Before advice I was 5 wins and 36 losses this season
2, After advice I have got 26 wins and 1 loss.Thanks again.
You played 27 games in 2 hours? I call bs
nah the bs is he claims to have lost 73 in a row and quit in another thread that he just posted at around the same time as he made this one.
that’s why you always volunteer. not only do you get 25 bonus points but you also get credit for the win. not sure if you get credit if you didn’t volunteer though
How about an NPC that exchanges Gift of Exploration for full reveal and all waypoints (no exp)?
I actually like that suggestion. Does the no exp part also include no rewards including gifts of exploration though? If yes i’m ok with that suggestion. If no i’m not ok with your suggestion.
Its more of a “doing it over-and-over” thing.
I didn’t mind unlocking my elite spec the first time, but after doing it for 8 classes it got kinda boring, especially since I pretty much only do dungeons/fractals/raids, and I don’t really care about open world.
I’d rather be able to purchase my elite spec so I can spend my time on doing what I like.
The old system worked a lot better for that imo, since pretty much every gamemode gave skill points that you used to unlock your skills on new characters, instead of being stuck with 4500 useless spirit shards and having to grind content you already did 10 times to unlock your skills[/quote]
you just killed the argument for yourself. you want all that stuff for nothing but then say you don’t care about open world. no need for all the waypoints if you don’t care about open world. fractals are from LA so no problem there. raids are from verdant brink so maybe run to the first waypoint in verdant brink. there are only 8 dungeons and you just need to get to the zone itself not the waypoint outside of it.
Meta events in auric basin. There is also an achievement that gives you a node in your home instance once completed.
This has been brought up many times and has recieved various reactions. I dont mind if they implement this but there has to be a trade off. Make it some kind of toggle and once its turned on you lose all possible map completion relevant rewards.
iirc the switftness the pact mastery tag gives you only applies itself in cities. so you won’t have to worry about it.
11 characters 214 points per character
I can hear your arteries clogging through my headset.

I don’t care if they make 600. i’m going to map complete the new zones on every character just like I map complete the core game on every character. I like map completion personally no matter how many times I do it.

by all means lower it to 200. that means 11 fully unlocked elite spec characters for me as soon as I can log in.
Guess the other thread complaining about wvwers not being able to get hp strictly in wvw just became moot.

And where would said questline take place?

Then it takes 0. However this is off topic now. My thoughts are if you want the hero points to unlock the elite spec go put on your big boy pants and go get them.

Current wvw rank is 651. Is that a lot? It takes 5 laurels and 3 gold for that recipe.

Everything is an exaggeration. Wvw has nodes for farming as well as materials that drop plus you can salvage and use laurels there as well. Only thing from your small list is the elite spec that will “force” you into pve land.

Enjoy what you want. Just don’t whine when what you enjoy doesn’t give you everything.

Wiki says there are 611 or 612 depending on if you have the krait shard. So they are finite and you are going to have to suck it up and go collect them then.

Grind the xp out or go gather the hero points in open world. 2 alternatives right there.

Pain in the kitten yes but not impossible. And I guess I am one of minority that has done map completion on the majority of my characters. 12 times to be precise and i don’t think its that bad but that is me.
the blue one is actually an exotic sword called jormag’s breath and can be crafted in mystic forge. the other one is the legendary dagger incinerator as others have said. the sword just looks small cause its on an asura.
there used to be a map with underwater combat in pvp, but people complained and complained so it was removed.
It says in the patch notes “early” personal story. guess some clarification is needed for the players to know what constitutes “early”.
dunno if there is a max myself but I had 1300+ tears of ascalon tokens that I had stocked up
do you even get the chests from pvp bags? if you do I’d say go ahead and add the keys. if you don’t get chests and have to resort to buying them from the TP then i’d say no don’t add the keys.
I have a few mini pets in gw1 I can give you. I play in eastern time zone and will add you to gw2 to try and meet up.
yes I can spare it. I play during eastern time zone. I’ll add you in gw2 and try to set up a time to meet up in gw1.
i have an undedicated mini dagnar I can give you. its a rare mini pet if that will give you the point you need, or if you really want the black moa I can run you out to it if you have access to fort aspenwood kurzick side.
karma can be used for temple armors when you get to orr if you want. can also be used to buy other things through out the game for various things like if you are trying to craft a legendary weapon. there are laurel vendors that have things you get like ascended trinkets. if you have no desire for that just trade your laurels for t6 mat bags and either sell them or keep them for future use.
