Definitly. But i fear it will be so good that 80% of tempests will use it.
Reworked:
1 25 Vitality
2 Light aura on heal
3 50 Vitality
4 20% aura duration
5 100 Vitality
6 Remove a condition on aura applicationThis would be great :-)
But without an internal cooldown…really?
As titles says. It has been a while since last time there was a discount on that, and I was hopeful it would be a sale before the HoT’s release.
PD: sorry for the broken english.
But will this one time only kind of deal or from now on Ascended armor and weapons can change stats through that given recipe?
I find interesting the concept of the Revenant, but concerns me a bit is that so far, weapons seem to be directly tied to each legend, and without the hability to swap weapons makes it really awkward in real gameplay.
What I mean, is that Staff skills are all about support, so it would not make sense to use staff and have Malyk and Ventari equipped as legends since it would waste Malyk’s capabilities, for example. Malyk, is mainly about conditions, still, Hammer and Staff lack on conditions, so if anyone wants to use Malyk, then necessarily has to use Mace+Axe…which wouldn’t make sense for whatever other legend that is equipped if only weapon set you can use would not be in synergy with the other Legend. This applies to any Legend/weapon set for far.
Was excited when Revenant was discussed in the first Ready/Point of Interest, but without the chance of swapping weapons and weapons that are mainly effective with one legend only, makes it seem quite limited gameplay, I think.
I haven’t had the chance to play any beta, so I hope I’m wrong, but those are my observations so far. sorry for the broken english.
And that defiance bar probably goes to the golden child Warrior
My personal guess is that the Defiance Bar will go most likely to Engineers, since warriors already have relatively easy access (at least easier than engineers) to Stability, and along with the use Hammer, Engineers will be engaging into a more brawler type of approach, Stability seems more properly placed for them in that case.
I guess it’s too early to know. Taimi probably has great potential, considering the fact that probably Zojja wouldn’t take an average asura under her tutorship; besides that Taimi by the fact of hanging around Destiny’s Edge 2.0, has had access to documents/items that no other asura has gotten like Scarlet’s documents and Omad’s machine in LS season 2.
Also at silverwastes she was learning also from a supposedly acclaimed charr metallurgist(?) things that seemed not familiar to asuran knwoledge.
Right now, I doubt Taimi is smarter than Snaff was (who knows compared to Zojja), but Taimi indeed has potential.
Sorry for the broken English.
considering that gems come from purchase with real money, why the hell not?
Are you aware that real money is not the only source for gems?, Does conversion Gold to Gems ring any bell? Right now many people are sit on important amounts of gold that came from their gameplay which would mean Anet not receiving money back. Not being able to buy HoT with Gems makes perfect sense.
Mastery Points.Treated like Trait pts or SP?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Tormentor.2508
Will mastery points work like Trait points where you have total of earned points that you can reset at will?, or will they be like Skill Points that use them and can be consumed till zero (without any type of reset) until you get new ones?
I’m not sure if someone asked this before, or if it has been answered. But, from what has been stated about using mastery points to unlock certain aspects of the game, I still got the doubt how they work in certain situations were the feature unlocked is not much involved in the game play itself.
To be more more specific, I wonder about the Precursor collection mastery. From my understanding on what has been said about masteries, let’s say I use/consume random number of mastery points to unlock one or more collections in an alternative character, Engineer for example, one sort of progress track will be unlocked and my engineer will fulfill tasks to make it progress while completing the collection. Details about this process is not what concerns me, but what after that? If I used my ALL of my mastery points to unlock that precursor collection; does that mean I have to start from 0 and collect new mastery points to be able to use other masteries needed for the new content (like gliders and mushies jumper mastery)? So, in this case, my Engineer could not explore the new content, like my main character could?
I know that the so far official information released about masteries maybe not be enough to answer this question 100% sure (or maybe it is and I oversaw it). But if not, what is your insight on this?
Sorry for the broken English and bearing with reading this.
I want a Tengu as pet
Actually, I’m kinda happy there was no new playable race announced. I don’t wanna see Tengu Revenants everywhere.
I’d take new weapons, skills, traits, class specializations over a new race, anytime.
Besides; lore wise, where do Tengu fit in the current story?, not even in LS S1 were relevant. I don’t know how people were believing were going to get Tengu any soon.
Enjoyed the trailer, future features, etc. But I think Dungeons, fotm, raids, were left out of this presentation.
Was it because they did not want to mention the whole spectrum of features to come and left some as “surprise updates” as we approach the official release date; or because we won’t be seeing any of those in HoT?

…I bet that is why Trahearne’s wild hunt was to kill Zaitan.
Pretty sure Traehearne’s wild hunt was to cleanse Orr, if I remember correctly
It didn’t have wings though :S
If you look carefully, I think it can be seen long black feathers on its back. Maybe it was just me, or my own hype seeing/imagining that
Incidentally, am I the only one who thinks the being overlooking the ruins resembled a mordremed mursaat?
Judging by just by its looks, cannot be also a Seer? Lorewise, how would they put it there, I have no idea…
Edit: saw video the scene again and saw long black type of feathers on its back, so most likely Mursaat than Seer.

And while Anet would be on that, would be appreciated a way to deal with Ascended rings, either salvage or trading merchant (something like you give 4-5 rings you don’t like like in exchange for one you want), instead of Destroy/sell to merchant
Using this for roaming:
Works pretty well for me, has enough condi cleanse (traited shouts grant you condi cleanse every 12 seconds plus perma regen and swiftness) and survivability due to boons and base stats.
I do not spend much time on my ranger, but when I roam, found this build interesting. Not a pro ranger build, but gets the job done (most of the times).

I’d rather have a merchant that would take 3-5 of my unwanted rings and let me choose 1 I would like to have instead; that way would be making some room in bank while getting a ring I could actually use
More back pieces
I’m not a GW1 player, but GW1 lore it’s interesting enough to read about it, story behind Abbaddon’s Fall feels to me way more interesting to than Asuras failing at playing science…
Lore background on Mursaat is so interesting that would be a shameful waste if they bring them back just for Living Story….
“After much discussion we have some really cool plans for the Mursaat”
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User_talk:Linsey_Murdock/Lore1#Asura_and_Mursaat
Thank you very much, just need to wait and see then…
Arenanet staded that they got some pretty cool plans for Mursaat in GW2. So I think they will retur somehow :P
where did you read that? asking because from all Elder races, to me, Mursaat seem the most interesting one, so reading about them showing up somehow in GW2 sounds really nice
@Erukk: thank you for your insight too
First of all, I’m not a gw1 player, but I find GW lore interesting enough to read some articles about its lore.
My question is basically, is it safe enough to speculate for some Mursaat’s returns anywhere in GW2? Doubt is born since Fractals deals (Spectral?) Agony, which I thought from what I could read that it was a Mursaat skill, so find it weird that other races can use it.
Also when Fractals came out, Anet introduced Ascended Jewerly with Infusion slot that can be filled it with Agony Resistance. I thought Infusion was a Seer creation to defend themselves from Mursaat (not from random bosses in Fractals that deal similar Agony as Mursaat did), which seems odd.
Also, adding whole Ascended jewelry items with Infusions slots makes me think that all that mechanic is a bit too much JUST to get use of them on Fractals (which not all people do, yet you can see many people with Ascended items who do not play Fractals at all)
Which leads me to my next speculation: Will Agony Resistance will be intended for something else (mobs) in the future, being Fractals a way to introduce players to these items and mechanics, but soon not the only place where Agony can be dealt?
Will we be seen Lazarus the Dire, and whatever is left from Mursaat, in GW2?
PS: I may have not read the enough of GW1 lore, so I may oversaw some important facts that could have answer my questions, if so, sorry about that, also sorry for my english…
Thank you for the replies. True, NPC is (are) still there, just don’t have the icon over them anymore.
Sonic Periscopes are still there after patch May 30th, but Audio collector npc is no longer the maps where it was.
What is the point of having the sonic periscopes there, even lootable after destroyed, if we cannot turn in the item it drops?
Options could be: Bring Audio Collectors npcs back, or make sonic periscope dissappear
Sorry for my english
As title says. WvW Rank System should be account based, not character’s based.
Having the rank system working like it is now, “encourages” me, or almost forces me to play wvw with only one character, if I want to get rank in wvw, along with wvw skills.
Playing with only one character at wvw while having other characters that would like to give a try at wvw, makes wvw more boring and monotonous than already is and than it should be.
What is people’s opinion on this? Sorry for my English, by the way
An official reply on this would be nice…at least to know it has reached their eyes and won’t be overseen…
Been happening since the March 26th patch….not getting chests from different bosses on a daily basis, just stop bothering trying, but I would like to able to have access to similar rewards that other people doing the same event actually get
Count me in as well. Similar situation as the OP, have different characters parked in bosses’ locations, and in some of those (Shadow Behemot and Golem Mark II, in my case) they don’t give the normal and extra chest after defeating them, even tho I hit them since the begging to end, getting Gold Medal, but that’s it, no chest.
Same issue was around weeks ago and for long, hope this time it will get fixed fast(er)
One way to not make it frustrating to attempt to complete dungeons with out the “zerg-rush” is that boss’ HP won’t reset after all party is wiped out, other wise is pointless since repairs will cost you more than you can possibly gain from “trying” to complete a dungeon. Take back the boss’ fight at the HP boss was when party was wiped, should be enough to counter this so far not popular choice of removing zerg-rush
