Been having this ongoing debate with friends on the fact the new Elite Specializations would have an Exotic Armor Collection (Just like the Revenants) because Anet has had more development time, but one of my friends it might just be an Outfit for each spec since Anet has said creating armor sets is ‘difficult’ or ‘takes time’
What does everyone think? Armor Collection for each Elite Spec or just an outfit unlock we do a ‘quest/collection’ for?
I somewhat agree with OP, Anet missed an opurtunity here with some storyline within the Halloween event where like, perhaps Mad King becomes Bloodcrazed….would have been cool but oh well, maybe next year we will get a halloween storyline?
Perhaps a big update or expansion entirely focused on adding/improving underwater will come some day….one can hope, as it is a part of the world, wether people like it or not, can’t just ignore it forever, Anet.
So, you can use Necromancers Wells underwater but you can’t use Chronomancer Wells underwater, is this an oversight or is there something about Chronomancer wells I am not aware of?
Seeing as HoT came with the new profession, Revenant and Anet said flat out theyre not adding anymore more professions….that leaves a slot open for development of a new race to take up that spot and Tengu was already like 70% complete or something before they decided to go with Sylvari instead. I whole heartedly believe we will get Tengu some day, next expansion or one after that….we will get it.
Mystic Clovers sounds fine for those worried about TP players, Mystic Clovers can’t be sold in the TP
Just make a ranger and charm all the pets.
Kind of wish there was an achievement for doing that…also Anet needs to seriously add more pets.
Jeez, its obvious some of you still didn’t even read what I wrote. I’m just expressing an idea to encourage more small scale pvp fights around the entire map by giving players an objective to venture out. Increasing the rewards for something players are already gonna do (Attacking keeps, towers, and camps) isn’t going to incentivize anything, because players already do it. Its so more people will have reason to spread out and even venture into enemy territory other then looking randomly for fights aka the roamers.
You do realize while players are engaged in killing some stupid NPC in WvW, the enemy pounces on them like they are wearing meat suits? LOL
Thats exactly what I said in my first post. I encourage it. That same situation happens already with capturing towers, keeps, and camps. The difference being, this isn’t a tower, keep, or camp.
ya it is called the Grub.. and no we do not need more grubs.
Obvious troll is obvious.
After the fight, like in Glint’s Lair in Echoes of the Past, there is a blue mote. By talking to it, you can restart the fight, simple as that. Now I know some motes are for the “challenge mode”, but this one makes the dragon respawn, without having to go through the cutscenes.
I will have to look and see if there’s a blue mote in the instance I speak, thank you for pointing this out/reminding me.

In Season 2; Point of no Return I have been trying to do the Rock Dodger and Shrubsplosives achievements, not only is it frustrating to keep failing but having to go through it to the point where i can even do the stuff for the achievements and not being able to skip the cutscenes/dialogue i have already seen countless times just causes more grief than necessary.
Also, the ending scene you are not able to skip either so you basically have to relog your char just to get back into the instance.

Yes, usually always during a story instance and right before I’m going to finish it my game would disconnect me to character select screen or hard crash me to my desktop, tends to happen a lot during select dialogue scenes.
I use to have this issue untill recently i decided to focus on doing event chains instead of the ending meta, before I knew it I had 250+ crowbars and 1600 airship parts and not knowing what to do with either xD
You probably don’t want to hear that I play with the music off and the rest of the sounds turned way down.
I’ve never been one for game music. It gets old pretty quick and I’d rather listen to my own choice of music.
The curse of the games music composer…
I tend to turn music off as well, but I max out all the other settings to fully immerse myself into the game, loving hearing the wind and animals, rivers and waterfalls etc.
All the kitten Vitriol.
Not to be a nay sayer but I do believe Anet has said something along the lines that there will be no more new classes (Profession) Revnant was the last one….but new elite specs and new weapons are definitely on the table…perhaps even a new race or two, I myself wouldn’t mind seeing Fisticuffs (Claw weapons) for thieves/warriors maybe even guardians and then Chakrams for Elementalists/Mesmers
A new race is coming, ANET has hinted at it before during pre release HoT hype, it being Tengu or not is another story entirely but would make sense, Tengu home town/home instance is created and exists, it was scrapped in favor of Sylvari, but assets of it still exist somewhere so they can easily add it as a playable race, just takes time and if ANET finds it worthy to do so/demand high enough.
Hopefully when they fix/patch this (I assume this coming Tuesday, November 10th) they will just remove an easily gotten PoI for you or what not so you can get your map completion chest reward or when you log in after the patch you will get your chest reward.
Would be a nice feature to add in to help out with people not wanting to grind 400 hero points to get elite spec, some of us stupidly spent all our hero points to unlock all the traits/spec lines for our chars but after a while you get into a groove of a certain build and don’t really use those other spec lines anymore, would be nice to be able to get the hero points back you spent and spend them elsewhere.
What does everyone think?
I agree, it lacks the old spice it use to have, wouldnt mind a mix of the two or just revert it back to the old way it looked.
So, I just got done watching Season 1 of “The Flash” and then decided to play a Berserker Warrior in the Beta…and I realized something about Rytlock. Seems he has a very Flash like storyline going on, in The Flash TV show and comics, he travels back in time to change something and then after he does or doesnt change that thing, many more ‘speedsters’ like himself start showing up, good and evil. With Rytlock he seems to have been doing things behind the scenes after he became a Revnant, he didnt return to us right away hence why he says the line “He’s late” …I wonder if what he did is why a bunch more Revnants start showing up, did he expose Tyria to the mists? What are the repercussions of this further down the line? It’s like the particle excelerator in The Flash….are Revnants better than all the other professions, are they ‘meta-racials’ ? xD …just some silly theory crafting and thoughts, what’s everyone else think?
What if they add it all together, SAB Halloween themed and SAB Wintersday themed, easier way for the devs to do it
Made me crack a big smile for sure~
I hope it does get a icon to show it’s taking effect, Fear has one and it works the same way as Fear so… =/=
If it’s for the HoT beta, they don’t do a good job showing you that and if it’s for HoT beta then where is my free Character Slot for getting HoT expansion?
So I got the extra character slot for purchasing HoT….Why can’t I use it? Do I really have to wait till HoT release to use the slot? I wanted to make a character in it to save a name for my Revnant, please let me create a character. (And anyone else with this issue, feel free to chime in)
Alright, kind of figured as much…and thank god, Sigil of Momentum are expensive xD …thanks for the reply~
Well, it is a Vampire build, really tanky and supporty but also pretty strong in my opinion, it’s been doing pretty good in PvP but I care more about PvE/Dungeon, so I was just wondering in PvE what would be more beneficial to stack with those two traits, more toughness that in turn give me a bit of power and healing power? or more healing power that just only gives me a bit more power? or stack power that gives me more healing power?
When you have both of these traits, what would be a better Sigil to have, Superior Sigil of Bloodlust or Superior Sigil of Momentum? …or do I just stick with the Superior Sigil of Life I already got?
The quick and easy way: you gain the healing skills, utility skills, elite skills and first four trait lines from your second profession. You still get the same number of trait points, but you now have 4 additional lines to spread them across. The fifth trait line is not included because it boosts your profession-specific attribute, much like how in GW1 you cannot raise a secondary profession’s primary attribute. Your armor-class, weapon skills and profession-specific mechanic remain tied to your primary profession.
While some traits simply wouldn’t be applicable since they only affect your weapon skills (e.g. the warrior’s Stronger Bowstrings, which increases long bow range, would be completely useless on an engineer), there would still be room for some interesting builds. For example, a thief/guardian could spec into Radiance (increases Precision and Condition Damage), and take Blind Exposure (applying Blind also applies Vulnerability) and Powerful Blades (sword and spear damage is increased). Or a Guardian/Ranger could spec into Nature Magic (increases Vitality and Boon Duration), and take Nature’s Bounty (regeneration you apply lasts longer) and Two-handed Training (great sword damage is increased; great sword attacks have chance to grant Fury on hit).
This stuff here sounds real good and plausible. I for one think Dual Classing certainly could work in GW 2 and be a great addition to the game. Necro/Ele Necro/Mesmer would probably be good mixes as well~
I would like to add another way to see Living World Season 1 content is to find an LP on youtube (Let’s Play) …I’m sure someone has played through the stuff and uploaded it~
Someone needs to make videos of these with the Dr Who Theme song, possibly just an endless loop of the beginning part of our chars floating~
Love the people mentioning they’re gonna go over to Wild Star, which is pretty much basicly NcSoft, same company behind anet/gw 2, so all the money is going to the same place, GG
It is great and all, really love all the new additions….but it’s not enough, I know I am not the only one being impatient here, people can whine to me that it is too soon to hear about when the next living world stuff is coming or what not but yeah…..I need to know!

I think op means a star for when you hold the ctrl or alt key, not a notification on the map (or thats what I would assume would be an easier way to find him) otherwise yeah, too easy if it was just a blip on the map
Been a year now since i’ve seen this topic discussed, do you guys over at ANet have the capability to reinstate a deleted character yet?
Some jealous company trying to sabotage NCSoft?
Yup, decided I wanted to go do my Dailies and then it said I couldnt log on, so decided to check forums, bingo bango
Why do I keep hearing about Condition damage being crappy in PvE? I have Condition builds on like 4 of my 6 characters and they all do quite wonderfully in PvE…seems most people who say Condition damage is crappy must be doing it wrong~
Not everyone plays a warrior actually, it’s a boring and over used class~
I soloed an elite krait just fine with my mesmer, just had to be sure no other enemies distracted me :P
This could be like the greatest chance to kill off Scarlet in a magnificent way. Have the fight be at the top of the tower and when you defeat her. She’ll fall down the entire tower in a glorious cut scene while she’s trololing to finally get impaled by a pointy log at the bottom.
And then while she is impaled she will have a weird glorious laughter
I don’t even have the money for an expansion if they released one, but I sure as heck would buy it, especialy if it had Tengu as a race I could play and whatever new class/classes they came up with….this game truly is beautiful in my opinion, I love the voice acting, the stories of my characters, the jumping puzzles/platforming, the exploration and the combat~ Great Job Arena Net, Love ya!
I love it, even if I don’t win a race, races to me have always been about the fun and experience, specially races with platforming and powerups…..reminds me of the good ole days when I played Mario Kart~ (that game had a bit of platforming in it as well now that i think back on it)
