She is growing stronger, every time we see her. That is okay, but she is growing in a terrifying fast way.
First she was just smart but now she builds machienes that handle two dragons at one time…TWO DRAGONS …yes and a god. Or what ever he was doing there and how he ended.
We had to help powerful old, but inprisoned spirits, to be able to enter the volcanoe.
And she? She entered in no time with her armor… err golem… well… “Gomor”, that she build at the same time, when she build that double dragon destroyer…

Well how about getting the information about “what happens if both dragons fall”…yeah a simulation…I dont know…
i currently work with simulations…and to make a good one, you need pleanty of time and tonns of information. But guess what. the little girl gathered info and programmed that simulation at the same time, when she was building a double dragon destroyer and the gomor…
Well she meantiond that she got nearly no sleep…and then there was councillor phlunt…so even less time…
Still not seeing the “marry sue”…well, then lets wait and see what happens next.
Trahearne was even less powerful and did less to become hated. i wonder if it will be the same with this “marry sue” and that all what she is to me…
And about those other “member” of our guild. Instead of taimi, they feel like normal people , to me. and in my opinion, they are much more likable than…you know…that “mar…”. i think you get me.
I think Taimi has potentional to be the new prime evil. she is growing power far too fast and with her childish mind, she cant be able to handle things, that even grownups cant handle well.
Power corrupts…The more, the faster…

Yes this should be fixed sap, but till this happens, there is a workaround that saved a few matches for me:
When your game crashed or you DCd and you could not rejoin the current match, then go back to char select screen, choose a other char and login.
You will get the message, that this char is not the right one for the match.
Then log back and you will be able to join the match again, with the right character.
You might be a victim of the little buggy flute.
Try pulling it out and playing some notes (at least three), before you head your way over the clouds. Then play the song, when you are there and all should be fine.
Remeber to repeat that above when ever you got hit or died.

I spend the last 2 hours waiting for A kitten giant spawn. SO that i could possibly lure him to my friend chan. I order to let him be slayn, to force his will back to him and he might eventually move again…

PLZ maybe, just maybe, IF you are not willing to fix these old bugs. just give us the tools to reset the last active map under certain conditions.
maybe a map wide vote to reset, or a vote to open a map.
Or just the first one, on the last map, who wants a new instance, gets one and the rest can join him.
BUT PLZ move away from this freaken, last map must stay kittenstuff.
Just one new instance of a map, when only one is left, cant hurt the servertraffic.
PLZ do something and god, plz, let it be good.

Finally some guild opened a farmtrain and i got away from that buggy map. i hope we will get the meta done.
But plz consider something like a direct player-forced new map, if only one instance of a map exists. Because not every bug is on a map, wich gets more or less often farmed.

As soon as the update was announced(you know, update will be coming within 2 hours), i am getting tonns of wrong values again.

It is happening again. I made a sceenshot from my browser at 8:44 (UTC +1:00).
(EDIT: These are wrong values, there ARE buyorders ingame)
(Second EDIT: its getting better…from 3300 checked IDs only 5 to 40 are showing wrong values)

But at the time, were i posted this, i checked ingame and there WERE buy orders.
My theorie is, that it had something to do with the release of the patch, because it started 20 hours before the release of the big one and now its working again. And i checked my whole program but changed nothing.
My theorie is, that something overstressed that servers, so that an unfished object was send, but thats only my theorie.
i can confirm that its working now. and i will be here, IF it happens again

(edit: I was thinking about it and i didn t mention the following:
Lets say, i checked 160 items, then maybe 50-60 of them had wrong values.
Those items with the wrong values at buy quantity and buy unit_price and ONLY there, as far as i saw, were fluctuating…so:
one time the values are wrong…a few sec later, they were right again…but then again wrong…but mostly wrong(checked in browser and my program = same result).
items with low mount of buy orders like 10 to 20 are mosty show the right value. It looks to me like the algorithem wich counts the number of buy orders and adds them to another, isnt getting done, till the object is send.
My theorie, thats how it looks to me.)

By wrong value, i mean 0… And the more IDs i use, the more wrong values i get, of course.
That happens since, lets say, 24 hours and i dont know why.

strange…i did it yesterday. just got silver and then activated the thing, wich needed to be manually activated. i just dont remember the name.

I am leader of a small guild. 7 active members only 3 are donating stuff.
We are casual players. Hardly more than 2 or 3 hours online a day at max.
Our guild has lvl 35 and has the stuff already stored to get lvl 37 and the rest won t be a problem.
So why smaller guildhalls? I dont want them and i see no reason for them. Just look what you need. Play stuff as you like and buy/craft what is needed.
Thats how we did it…and thats all it needs…

everyone and their grandmother, i talked to, said about gliding and asked :" Hey great stuff, but can i use it in central tyria?"
And every time, i put on my best trollface and said: “nope!”
That was very sad for most of them, so i took my time and came up with an idea.
First i sum up all the question, that came up in my mind:
If gliding comes to central tyria…
what happens to jumping puzzles?
what happens to all the POIs and other stuff that should be reach by jumping down?
what happens to PvP?
what happens to WvW?
AND when it comes to central tyria should it be there trained with red masteriepoints instead of green?
AND wouldn ’kitten be unfair for those without HoT?
And here are my conclusions:
If we want to glinde there, we need to protect the original stuff from being pointless! So i would suggest a new condition “disturbing winds”.
What doess “disturbing winds” do? Well it deactivates the glider and disables him for the duration of the condition. Of course, this condition cant be cleansed or something and is NOT timebased. It is based on the area. And the “dustrbing winds”- area is invisible, because you cant see wind, directly.
PvE-Zone:
These “disturbing winds”-areas should of course only be put around those Jps or POIs and stuff.
So all the original PvE stuff is save and not pointless.
So PvP-Zone:
As far as i know, activating glinding in PvP doesnt make any difference. So i would just activate it to make the whole thing constant.
And WvW-Zone:
For this i have 2 suggestions:
1. Just activated it and give everything with a wall a “disturbing winds” area. So they are save!
2. Make it a weapon. Put a switch in everything with a wall to activate the area at will.

Well…that is arguable, but i would say, nope it should stay where it is for the following reason.
First, it was designed for HoT. So i only NEEDS to be used THERE. So i think, it is right if you need to train it in HoT-areas.

Easy, its a “nice to have” feature for the core-game. Something like the auto-loot. It is needed NOWHERE, but nice to have. So it would be great and easy to show those guys without HoT and make them, maybe, wanne buy HoT.
At last a little programming stuff, that might be useful, or not.
I would add a boolean attribut to the charakter, “disturbing winds” if true => deactivate glider and cant be activated. For the effect of course a new method.
For those graphic guys, i would put a invisible cylinder or quarder in the middle of every POI or JP and scale it big. Then everything, that gets inside those objects gets the bool, mentioned above, set to true and when it leave its will be set back to false again.
I would only add one or at maximum three of those invisible objects to a JP or POI, to make sure that there will only maybe just thirty objects added to a map, so it makes no performing difference. And i am sure, that its better that some people complain about being a little disturbed to much, than having no gliding at all.
I hope someone reads this. And maybe someone likes it, too.

I sell/sold a few times some arah paths. We played the path the normaly way but with 3-4 players. Ones we are in front of the last boss we sell the open slots.
Why?
My friends and i dont like the meta stuff, IF we fill our group then our LFG says “nice people only!”
So with these lfgs we end often enough up with a teachrun, telling some dude with low AP and/or a ranger/necro how to do this path, cause he allways got kicked elsewhere…
But sometimes we dont wanne teach some random dude…sometimes we wanne do the dungeon in our way, as fast as we can…and thats when we sell the spots…

Yesterday i startet a group with two other members of my guild. We did some dungeons and after a while a guy joined, who only got 733AP. Wich was no problem because the lfg i put in said: [READ] P1 Nice peolpe only"
He did very well and he stayed in group for a while, dungeon after dungeon…
But then a other guy with just 5 or 8k joined and pointed out : “lol a guy with only 733AP!” And tried to kick him…
Well… that was the wrong move a few sec later that new guy got kicked…
Remember the lfg said [READ] Px nice people only!"
I dont get it…AP say nothing but for some people even “nice” means AP check…
Maybe, just maybe. Someone who confirmed the bug should look up right where he is, if he has traited monks focus…
If you checked in in wvw look their if you realy traited it, if in pvp check it in pvp etc.
It happend to me, that i forgot, that we automatically switch trait builds when we enter a other game mode, while the utility skills stay the same.
so just check and confirme again
You know that there is a Event-Sylvari-Bandit-Champion in the west of brisbane that is allready able to taunt you?
You dont see him using a skill or so, or at least i dont, but suddenly my charakter moves towards him. Something like a reverse fear…
Check it if you dont believe me.
As i said ist a silvari bandit event champion. The event is, as far as i know, near the bandit minefield.

I am a student, I have a job, a girlfriend, I do NOT get any money from my parents and played GW2 form the very beginning. I got 4 legenderies and will soon hit the 22K AP (I only mention that, cause it seems to matter in this thread).
AND I love this patch! It’s great, because I get rewarded for just doing my stuff. And even if I have to port to a certain area to do some stuff. I don’t care, because earlier I had to do that, too… But now I only have to port max 3 times. Before that patch, I had to port as often or even more AND had to do pvp or wvw to get the same daily AP.
So, I don’t get, where your problem is? I mean, okay we lost some options, but we only have to get 3 achieved…

If i get blinded, shouldn ’t i get disoriented?
I mean, i am okay with the fact, that my screen doesn ’t go dark every time i get blinded in this game, but shouldn ’t i at least drop my target?
I think, hey, when ever my enemy gets invis, i lose the target, but what is the difference between not seeing somebody or being blind?
I know, it’s annoying to press “tab” or whatever to get my enemy back there, where i want him to be, but that’s the thing. That is what i think would be right. And makes blindness just a little more useful.

I think you fail to understand the purpose of the “Mentor’s” kit.
You can choose a low level piece of exotic gear, (I don’t think you can get an exotic piece as low as lvl 18 anywhere else in the game) and you also get lvl up scrolls that can’t be used if you are Max Level (like the tomes of knowledge which give skill points to a lvl 80).
It is supposed to be a booster kit for your next toon.

Maybe you are right, but i kind of find it irritating, that a reward for the last mission contains something for another toon?
Its like, doing your work and getting toys for your kids, but you dont have any ôo.

i think here is a second version of this kind of bug.
If i open der Mentor’s Kit, i get a level 18 Exo of my choise… And Mentor’s Kit is a container rewarded for players that have completed the final mission of the personal story.
So yeah, i did the final mission and get a level 18 item of my choise…well sounds like the same bug, to me.

Anthony, can you tell me why karma seems much less important now that it has been at release?
We have added a few karma sinks along the way but typically new content comes with a new currency, eg. candy corn or geodes. I haven’t personally implemented all of this content or currency but if I had to guess I would say that this pattern exists because we actually want to give you specific rewards for specific content.

Is a new currency realy a “must have” for specific rewards?
Why not just using karma and giving out karma for new content?
Here are the points:
Someone might think, if i want that new stuff, then i have to go to the new area and grind there. But it that the reason, why this new content was created? For Grind?
- Anet wants feedback, they realy need it. So that would be one way to get it. If you get karma from those new events instead of a new currency, people might play that content more likly, because its new and good, if it has a bad design, noone will show up.
Someone might think, those guys who constantly farm at karmatrains, wont have to do the new content to get the new stuff.
-Anet often makes a stroyline for the new content…
Okay then put the npc for the new stuff at the end of it, so everyone, who wants that new stuff, has to, atleast, do it for one time.
Someone might say, those grinders will do there grindstuff to get those new items instead the new contant.
-Is that bad? See point one. If that new contant is worth it, they will set their boring (cause 1000 times done stuff) aside and do the new stuff.
This would make new currency useless, provides Anet feedback and adds some value to Karma.
Whats your Opinion? (This is more the question of new currency vs karma)

I made up my mind about the WvW league, which this time, has not really felt as a success, in my opinion. In following text, there may be al lot auf mistakes (grammer or so), so please, don ’t be to hard to me and just ignore them
For the discussion, I’m going to difine the following “basics”, if they do not apply, so you could mention it, but to promote discussion, one should assume that they are true.
Basics:
To make a league properly, you should think about what you want to achieve. Surely A-Net did that, but if WE want to talk about the league, we should first think about it!
The aim of the League: I assume,
that the league should be fair.
that they will reward each who took part in it.
that the winners should be rewarded more than the others.
that more effort should be rewarded more.
that players are to be lured into WvW.
Were those goals met?
Players are lured into WvW … 7 out of 10 Points.
Yes, I think by announcements etc. the goal was achieved surly. Who would want to have the achievment, had at least to spend a few ours in WvW, even when he was only in the EotM.
More effort = more reward? 4 out of 10.
Here I think, is realy much to do. In this league, people who have invested more time do the Metaachievment, are not getting more, than the people who have put a minimum of time for the achievent and then never touched wvw again.
Next Point :
If you were now to take the tournament rewards for placing(first second etc) as a standard, for rewarding, then is the system wrong, too. A player who is on a server which has reached the 6th place, but has played hundreds of hours a week, gets less than a player who is on the server which reached the first place, and just did his meta-achievement.
Winners get more than others? 10 out of 10
but that goal is not difficult to implement …
Rewarded each of her part Takes? 8 out of 10.
Beside the bug, I think it is okay.
Is the league fair? 5 out of 10.
Well, you win you get points, you lose you get less points.
But it should be excluded by loosing in the right week, getting more pleasant opponents.
I think of the League as a sporting competition that is out on the battlefield, not on the desk where a few smart people thinkof what score you have to earn to get the right opponents. This time. the system was unsuitable, at least in my opinion.
So, everyone is able to complain. Now, to the suggestions for improvement:
Fairness:
The divide in bronze silver and gold, I think is great. However, when I think of the leagues, i think the first one was more fair, there you hab to fight 2 times against all servers of your devision regardless of the score. Sure there were games against much too strong or too weak opponents, but I think that just part of a real league.
Rewards generally I would handle differently in the league:
I would distinguish between personal reward and league reward.
The personal reward should have prestige effect and the league reward should be more like a motivation.
Why?
Why should one player be punished, olny because his server is not as good as the others in the divison (broze, or silver , or gold) ? If 5 players have to compete with a zerg of 50 players in the fight for a tower, because no one else is there, then its their fault, because they have not transfered to one of the top server?
That should not be so! Therefore, the prestige reward must be connected to the performance of the individual and not be bound to the server.
But how much should the individual get?
How much I get depends on how much I’m in WvW and how active I am there. But for this purpose it is necessarily creates a possibility how to distinguish Scouts from someone who is just afk.
To be more specific, I would divide the reward in gold silver and bronze, like after a normal event, but just after the league. For example, Gold will include 3 new skins, silver 2 and bronze “only” 1. It is clear that players are disadvantaged if they have less time. It will be hard for those to get Gold with 10 min of WvW a day or 1 hour a week, but they will at least get one new skin. And above all, to be honest: Prestige you do not have work for, is no prestige.
What would be the motivation?
Sure here you may like to bring proposals. But please remeber, that the reward should be not unique item. A MiniPet that is only for the top-ranked server would be just so wrong.
It should be something, where everyone says, “Yes, that would help me!” But in which you say to yourself, if you do not get: “Too bad, would have been nice, but is not so bad”
I suggest, for example, 2 or 3 barrels of WXP for the First Server and spend less WXP for 2nd and 3rd
Why? Anyone could yuse some WvW levels and even if you do not, so you still get at least some green items that you can sell / recycle. This reward will not hurt anymone, but everyone will be happy to get it.

The Sylvari! Why are they a villain race?
Think about it…
They are the only one Race who are immune to the influence of the known dragons…who else are immune?
Scarlet is a Silvary, in her story in mentioned, that she was not evil since the beginning, but something, something that was already in her, has awakened.
The pale tree, just started to spread generate the Sylvari, when the dragons awakened…that is the time when the first dragon champions showed up.
Here is the Theory, and i am not the first who mentioned it, but i truly believe. The pale tree is a in a good way corrupted dragon champion like glint.
And the Sylavris are meant to be minions of the jungle dragon.
Hmm I am nearly allways outnumbert on EotM, as long as i am not green…
When i am green, there is nearly allways a pure zergfest. So…in my opinion, EotM is a nice feature, but is only fun, when you are green, or lucky
Garrison Duty
This new quest is meant to encourage players in WvW to guard a tower, fortress or castle.
Each Lord may send players (how many is depending on the upgrade) on garrison duties, via interaction with him.
….|..Tower…|.Fortress.|…Castle…|earnings per quest (5 min Guard)
T1|2 Players|4 Players..|6 Players..|2 Silver
T2|4 Players|8 Players..|12 Players|4 Silver
T3|6 Players|12 Players|18 Players|6 Silver
Each quest is meant for one player, so in a T3 Tower, 6 players can get the quest at the same time and go to different locations.
To be rewarded, the player has to hold one of several “guard poistions” for 5 minutes, e.g. for a tower, maybe a located on a wall.
The quest will fail if the player:
- Does not get to his “guard position” within 30 sec
- He leaves his once reached “guard position” too early
This quest is a kind of garrison duty simulation. Of course, guards get paid for thier job and it depends on how valuable the object, to guard, is (T1 fortress or T3 tower).

I disagree with the OP on some points – and disagree with his attitude because this is another one of those " make the game the way i would like it " threads.
Sorry if my opening post appeared like that. I really wanted to avoid a wall of text, so I kept it short and reduced it to my main points. But you have a point I should have added, that the game is great(so i added it). It really is. I only meant to improve it, or better tell how, I think, it could be improved.
I will keep it short:
The combat system is sick! Even if you cure the symptoms, it will still be sick.
Symptoms:
Stacking, full DPS (Zerker Gear), Wall / Corner spots (the places to stack in)
The causes:
-Weak AI (mostly only auto attacks, boss AI will not work properly if the group stacks in corners)
- Weak npc Skills (eatherblade hammerguys were a good start. There shuold be more like them in the open world. Or something like those heartseeker thiefs form WvW. These enemies would make defence more important.
-ONE-HIT Kill Mechanics (because of them, it is regardless of whether zerker, or soldiers gear, for example, but zerker does more damage)
- Dodge (should not protect against 100% of the incomming damage of AOE, maybe only 50%)
-Block (see dodge)
-Combo fields (so that you can maximize their benefits, you MUST be stacking)
- too short range of support skills( this favors stacking)
Don’t Forget, if those changes would be made, the game would be a little harder for everyone. So the Risk/Reward factor should be changed more to the Rewardside

Litany of Wrath is not working right, in my opinion.
It is the only meditation, thats has a casttime. Shouldn’t it be, that all meditations are, since 15.11.2013, castime free? I mean.. okay! That skill has been added after 15.11, but it is a meditation, right?
I think it would be much more valuable and logical, if they undo the casttime.

Many players, including myself, wish there was something like a daily AP cap . But how to realize it fair for everyone? How to ensure, that no one has advantages or disadvantages? How to ensure that there is at the top not a contest wich being decided only by, who has the most tormented with dailies? And most importantly, how to ensure that newcomers can catch up with the verterans, without destroying the hard work of those?
Here is my suggestion:
Adding all the so far reachable Daily AP , which would be the * Daily AP -CAP *. This limit is raises every day by 9 points (5 PvE+ 4 PvP) . Once someone reaches this limit, you can get through dailies the maximum of 5 points in PvE and 4 points in PvP a day. If someone misses the Points for one day, it’s no problem to bring these back in the future, till the limit is reached again.
pros:
At the top there is the progress indeed slower, but it’s there and then also to the Different achievements show who is inlead and not just dailies who did the most dailies.
Newbies can catch up with time, because, if they wanted to, they could earn more then 9 Points a day to reach the limit.
The fact that you only get max 9 points per day through dailiesafter reaching the limit, ensures people to no longer feel obligated to Daily Grind.
cons:
Anyone who has reached the limit,would have no more additional incentive to fulfill all Daily parts. But for this you could, however, introduce a really small gold reward ( max 10 silver per point)

It was a Serverissue on Drakkarsee (EU/DE), so if you want to talk to Evon, just use the questingfunction to join Elone Reach, for example.
I got the achievement “Climb to Zephyr Sanctum” , but my friends, who started the event later, told me or showed me that you can not speak with Evon and thus the above mentioned achievement can not be completed!
THAT IS NOT A GOOD START FOR HIS POLITICAL CAREER!

Sorry to say, but the whole mechanik is broken since headstart. I know that at least, the broken symbol was reportet, but I thought, I should open a new Thread, because it´s not only the symbol, it’s the whole mechanic, which is broken.
Haste:
If you have hast and you run through the Guardian symbol “Symbol of Swiftness”, or the Mesmer wall “Temporal Curtain”, you only get 1 sec added, not the time, that you should get from the description, but the hasticon becomes renewed.
Invisibility:
Same here. If you are invisible and you pass “Veil“, you only get 1 sec added instead of 4.
That’s why I think, the whole pass through mechanic is broken.
Cripple:
Same here for foes passing “Temporal Curtain”.

Here is my suggestion:
US-Player and EU-Player play mostly from different timezones. Wouldn’t it be better, if the wvw-serverresets are bound on the timezones,i mean, the European server reset should be 8h before or 8h after the US-reset, but not in the middle of the night(2 a.m.).
Everyone knows, wvw-serverresets are something special, but only for that, doing a nightshift, is a bit to much…
My english is not very well, but i hope you understand, what i mean
