I remember I read somewhere a recipe how to make more efficient boosters (xp, karma, crafting, etc) but now when I could make one, I cant find a recipe anywhere.
Does anyone know the correct recipe how to do it ?

You can swap the 10 from water into earth if you want more damage, but then you cut down on survivability.
Just start with Earths 2, immediately after the cast e-5, swap to fire, f-2, f-3 and autoattack to death. (Get condition dmg gear when you get a chance to make it much easier)

Ele’s don’t really excel in 1v1.

atleast with a staff, with D/D or S/D you might have a chance. Im running 0/25/0/30/15 build with Cleansing Wave and Cleansing Water from the water tree (=lots of condition removal) so it really helps me out against especially necros.

If they would make other classes (read warrior/ranger/guardian) a bit more complicated to play, I think I would be able to play them aswell. I have ~250hours played on my ele atm if I my memory serves me right, and only ~+40hours played on other classes.
I've played every single class on this game after launch, and on BWEnds so you cant say I have not tried
Other classes just seem way too simple to play, it gets boring after first ~20levels.
But this is just my opinion ofc

Hey, I just finished my exploration trip in Malchor’s Leap, and as a reward, I got this exotic Berserker’s Amulet (+86 Power, +62 Precision, +4% Critical Damage, Required Level 78) And as I received it, I noticed its soulbound, so I’m unable to sell it on the Trading Post. (I have not used it, I am 100% sure of it)
Is this a bug or supposed to be this way ?

But yeah, it did show pretty too much only the finishing blows, would’ve been much better if you would’ve show’d us the whole fight, which led to your victory. Very nice video tho!

In before someone comes here to tell Elchulo that elementalist is not a “WoW Mage” 1 skill spam class. I do agree with you tho, as playing on my warrior or testing my thief, the dmg output is just so easy to do, and its almost 2times eles dmg. Doesnt really feel fair, but on the other hand, I cant play warrior or thief for long since they are so simple to play, its just too boring.

This is how I leveled up to 80. It works nicely up to ~65-70, but when you get to Orr, the mobs are just everywhere and they hurt. The earth elemental(s) are pretty good tanks tho. Anyways, Im still using this, going to change for S/D anytime soon tho.

I’ve PvE’d with this for pretty long with staff. (frustrating in Orr tho)

Eruption
Shockwave as soon as cast time ends on eruption
Instantly after Shockwave has launched swap to Fire
Lava font
Flame Burst
auto-attack. Usually its enough to kill 1 mob at a time because I have condition damage runes/traits. If not:
Swap to air
Static Field
Windborne Speed
Back to Earth or Fire
Eruption/Lava font + Flame Burst

There are other builds which works on same aspect, but some are just better at one thing as others.

Everyone has their way of playing games. That is just a fact, not my opinion.
That being said, I can start to this issue.
I’ve pretty actively followed the Gw2 forums, especially the elementalist forums, since I have played it as a main since the first BWE.
My opinion of elementalists is that they are mediocre at the most, yet the most skill based class of this game. It doesnt reward the player as much as other class might, even if you have to put ALOT more effort to succeed at it. But hey, thats just my opinion.
Almost in every topic here, someone is either whining of elementalists being UP, which follows up with tons of “pro”-players saying “You are obviously doing something wrong, noob”).
So why dont you “pro”-players, or any players just point out how you have succeeded in one or more of these following:

• PvE?
• WvW?
• sPvP?
• Dungeons?

What build works best in one of the elements of this game?

Elementalists can do pretty much everything in this game.
With the right weaponset/traits/etc, you get it. BUT not nearly as well as some other class, which makes eles mediocre at the most.
Please prove me wrong since Ive played Ele since the first BWE and I (sometimes) really enjoy playing it.

Ele has the highest skill cap on this game (as I’ve heard, havnt played every single one of them yet), so in my opinion, it should be rewarding if you succeed at it. (In before “lol l2p son, you must be doing something really wrong”).
Its just a fact that eles have to put so much more effort to do something (almost) any other class can do better.

If it would work like that, from “platform to platform”, Eles would have no hard time doing any jumping puzzle. I think the skill is awesome the way it is now, it has good enough range, its instant, and it breaks stun. The CD aint too long either.

Im stacking power/condition damage. Dont have “end-game gear” yet, but it just seems to work just fine with my build (see above)
