You all ask for “map changes” and for major overhauls. But spend some time thinking. What happens if they do a massive overhaul on a map??
Please, let me remind you – ALL tactics goes out the window. Meaning that WvW will be a cesspit of Q_Q for a week or two while people adjust. Such a change, would favor only big servers, as they would just zerg zerg zerg like always. However the same changes would devastate more tactically based low-pop servers. Potentially sending the entire ranking system into dismay. Now, being from EU, i can only speak for EU, but the last time a T1/T2 server ended up with a T4 or less, it was NOT a fun week for that T4 server. They got steamrolled all over the place without a moments chance to recover.

This is what is happening atm with these balanced maps that we all know tactics for. How worse could it be with a new map, where we would need a week or two to adapt new tactics?
1. Any news/updates on making winning the match up more rewarding? There is very little fanfare or even acknowledgement that your server won. The passives are ok I guess, but at the end of the day it just feels hollow.
2. WvW Abilities – All in all I have to admit, they are just boring. Passives blah, some of the siege abilities are ok. I know you have to be careful with balance… but I would really like to see more creativity here.
3. Any chance of getting WvW Rank locked unique skins? Maybe an Aura around you? Something/anything unique to WvW to show off??? ( Same for SPVP, but thats a different topic)
4. Guild Claiming really needs to mean more. Defending in general needs to mean more.
5. I honestly think with the modest size of your maps and how many people are crammed into them. The waypoints upgrades should be removed.
6. Commander System – That is all the needs to be said.
7. How about DAOC style killspam? Just throwing that out there. I know a lot of people that loved it. At the end of the day we all want to be the hero!

So you are working on wvw abilities. In the near future we’ll get some changes on win reward system. Guild claimings, wp’s in the future. Wvw skins not in for months if at all. Commander system changes not in for quite some time. Killspam after commander system.
Ok. At least there are some answers about timeline.
I also wish you have more staff and resources. This means that there will be more (polished) wvw abilities, more rewards for matchup wins and at least a couple of months (if ever) for the rest of stuff that were mentioned here.
How do they keep the game running ? Improving story and content aspect of the game or the farming aspect of the game ?
Well it is obvious they do not improve content… Look at past year and all of the carnival events they added with no depth and you have your answer. Now I just need Vayne and other white knights who were talking how anet doesn’t want “us” to farm and just to play the game to explain that to you

When I’ve been working on WvW for 11 months, then we’ll talk. I’ve been here for 5, so I still have 6 more before you boot me for someone else. Also, the orb mechanic is coming back.
Well, that is something that your boss(es) will decide. We can all talk this and that, but they do have the numbers and that is all they care about. Since you say wvw is doing great, increasing numbers since january I’m sure you will not follow Habib I am all for bye bye.
We are continuing to make progress on these things. You can get ascended gear with badges now, the rank up chests have decent loot in them, including chances for precursors, all of the keep and tower lords drop the champion loot. The daily achievement is extremely easy to get in WvW, we’ve made a change (going live soon) to make many of the events group events to help with monthlies. Believe me, I am aware of the fact that the rewards in WvW don’t always keep pace with PvE, but we are moving to address that as much as we can. There will be an update on achievements in the not too distant future which will help to address the achievement point imbalance as well.
Progress is simply too slow. 1y is behind us and even if we don’t compare to pve or pvp wvw updates are coming out at a terrible pace.
We can’t get ascended just with badges, rank up chests have crap loot if you look at how often you can get them, for past few days we can get chests from lords and thats great (you can still get them few times faster in pve but its a good change and tbh its a game change not just wvw one).
I can do daily or monthly easier in pve, but it’s not a problem in wvw.
Also it’s not that “rewards in WvW don’t always keep pace with PvE” – rewards in wvw are never near rewards in pve. They are outpaced couple times if you consider time invested. But pve is crap in gw, so I support any rewards in wvw I can get.
Achievements are beeing worked on for months and months. Answer is still basically soon…
Party, squad, commander, maps, ballance, matchups (look at eu #3v#13v#16 hahaha)…
If you found it boring before, it will not be any different to you now.

What healers provide: Well, heals and buffs, obviously. Who healers help: DPS, so they can focus on doing damage and not constantly trying to support, to keep a fight alive.
No. In trinity games healers help tanks. So 90% is the same. The 6% are there to help the 4%.
Todays patch was quite abit of a huge letdown.

World versus World
Updated the Red Portal Keep in the Eternal Battlegrounds to ensure the “no siege” debuff encompasses the entire start point.
Fixed a bug with Keep Lords in World versus World where they could become immune to damage.
-some amazing stuff right there! thats alot things done for wvw in a week!

All the work they did on warriors in past few patches truly is amazing. All the fixes to bugged skills and traits…i’m almost overwhelmed! Good job Anet!
