So my guild left our small server as we always lost.I was told that E-bay and DB are the 2 best in our league. I know both always crushed yaks bend in the past and are “un beatable” Allthough I think YB crushed DB last week by alot.

We decided to leave for Ebay ! whoot. A huge server with a huge asian base!

Anyways, Nice defense of Garri Ebay. We must’ve been in there for upwards of an hour without breaking inside. Good stuff.

They showed up on CDBL for about 5 min, they whipped at the SW camp to a bunch of pugs…lol It was humorous watching them run in circles being terrible, my guess is they were experiencing power outages and bans right at that moment!

Don’t worry Ebay trolls it’s self has hard as [DIE] is trolling all the GvG fights! I just want to actually see some fights and not listen to all the excuses, power outages, 5 vs 50 or Anet banning drivers the exact time of a GvG.

IOJ schooled FA tonight in keep defense in EB. Frankly, I’m mostly just proud of IOJ. We were disorganized and running multiple tags most of the night. FA is already in the karma train mentality and is getting soft I think. We had the map queued, and IOJ had (I’m guessing) 30 people on the map? Great job IOJ.

FA could be in for some rude awakenings once leagues are over and we’re at a population disadvantage again.

You seem to be forgetting that this is FA’s 8177168th week into leagues and the only server even close to a legitimately equal opponent we met in battle was SBI. You expect us to take every aspect of these match ups seriously? I don’t expect you to understand, but we’ve been frustrated with how little amount of competition we are getting, I am not an offensive commander, I have never been, yet I was in EB last night attacking a keep, what does that say to you? And that little comment about you being there when we fought BG, but not me? PRO has been in FA since the start, and so have I. I’ve been there commanding in FA BL since we were getting smashed by CD, TC, and YB because we just didn’t have the coverage. I was there before the IoJ transfers that gave us the numbers we needed to stay competitive, and I will be there even when the server begins to die, if it ever does. I admit, I was out of my element, doing something I don’t usually do, but at least I tried and learned from it. I do not, however, appreciate tagless CORE members throwing down siege keeping us from building what we need to get built, you were in our TS, we see your names. And I do not appreciate you making assumptions and starting something when you have no prior knowledge about me or my guild. You can come back with a better attitude about things and try to work as a team, or leave the server because if you can’t then it’s clearly not for you.

I can appreciate his forum post, I know they may have some foundation and reason. I was there, I understand. And IoJ did pull off a great defense, there is no doubt in that. I simply do not think his comments and attitude in map chat were warranted.

Sounds fair. And I know he posted first, but please bring it up with him in private messaging first. I understand what a call-out on the forums can bring, but problems are best brought up with the individual or his guild first. okay so. ive been commanding on FA in EB for the past 8-9 hours and im just gonna jump in here before all the calls of “FA only blobs” start.

That, sir, was a GREAT run. Wish you could have seen the afterparty: your last capture transitioned into a 20+ minute nonstop defense of SMC’s lord’s room outnumbered about 2.5 to 1. There were 5 separate warbanners dropped on the lord to stand him back up when YB pushed hard.

Yak’s Bend simply Does. Not. Give. Up.

We may look like we built a commanding lead, but FA cannot afford to slack off.

It is nothing personal, and I for one enjoy your spawn camping 24/7. But you have to have downs if you think that spawn camping PUGs for 24hrs a day is not going to create “bad blood” and “bad attitudes”.

Had a lot of single- and small group action in our BL, where i stay for the most part, and that is where i saw bad manners from our opponents. Getting spawn camped in EB is apparently enough of a reason for you to laugh and dance when you get one of us down – which doesn’t happen that often from what i can tell, since you are facing our roamers that are there all the time, no matter whom we face.

I have bad news for you, the core of YB players will be out and fighting no matter if we win or lose. Feel free to come to our match-up threads for the next 7 weeks so that all of our opposing servers can see you represent your server that way. It will provide good entertainment.

Well coming from a long time YB roamer, I have tried to get all the YB scrubs to stop spawn camping and doing exactly what they have kittened about in the past when it happens to them. In fact I have to disagree with Frosch in the fact that Yak’s is a fair weather server and would be PvEing if the tide was reversed.

I would also like to say thanks to all the good fights I have had out there with SF and ET, you have some good skilled fighters. When I have gone down I have only seen bowing and respectful game play. Unlike what I have seen for the most part from my fellow Yak’s, sorry about that… does represent the core old school YB!

Your players play like garbage, tower hug, and call friends when they get dominated in fair fights. Your guild belongs in the trash and thankfully we have brave guilds like CHAR putting you in there every time your players thing they can handle themselves outside of a zerg.

Its more than one Guild that left. Last week VS (30ish?) left in the middle of the night to a Tier 7 or 8 server. Between the two, we lost a decent amount of people who were organized.

no troll… the ebay group at godsword last night could teach you something about trolling, though. that group could’ve been gaining more ppt than they were last night instead of camping one single supply camp of BP. instead, they made kitten of themselves camping (treb, ballis, ac’s) and spamming emotes while staying in our northern camp, which in the end was the last camp they took for a while until cd started on us again.

some of your players, ebay, have little honor and misplaced pride. i understand it’s probably a small percentage, but a few bad apples spoil the bunch.

So let me get this right.. You come here whining about not being able to take North Camp from a group of Ebay? And this means we are afraid to attack CD? Interesting logic!

It’s all good… All servers spawn camp, part of the game.

On another note, if you want a good laugh head over and read all the kittening Maguuma is doing about their new Zerg being Zerged! hahahaha They are back to their whining about being the best roaming group non Zerg server yet quickly forgot that as they Zerged us and had zero roaming groups! Good laugh… Oh and they throw in the occasional we are glad to be losing, guess that’s how they make themselves feel better.

What goes and around comes around!

Well I really enjoyed reset night, but here is a quick comparison of our last 2 reset nights;

1) Reset vs Maguuma, they had our YBBL 100% in 30 min and were ticking at 500+ within a couple hours.
2) Reset vs Kaineng, we kept 60% of our YBBL for all of NA prime and were only 3K points behind for the first 7 hours. Kain didn’t start to tick 500+ until well after NA prime was over.

Both servers are strong, but based just reset I would have to say Maguuma is the stronger server during NA prime and were much more organized and had stronger tactics in assaulting the entire BL. We could easily tell where Kain was going which made it much easier for us to counter attack/defend. We also had no problem taking a good chunk of Kaineng’s BL during the first few hours, where vs Maguuma we were steam rolled right out of the gate.

Will be interesting to see where everyone falls over the next few weeks, T4 will always have one of the 24/7 coverage servers so I don’t really see T4 being an evenly matched tier anytime soon.

Yes Tandy, we figured that out. The last few weeks have been that way, but honestly there’s not much we can do about it right now, yet we still get forum flack for it anyway. Most of us took last week and the weeks before off after Friday/Saturday, or leveled alts.

However, please don’t make this thread another QQ fest about transfers. That horse has been beaten into the dirt already!

Yeah, I know it has. However, its still something that negatively impacts a lot of people on the other servers, so while I totally get why its a stale topic….its still a valid one.

Right now on YBBL we finally got cliffside, soon as we took it a treb started in from Astral….we go to see whats going on and find an easy 40+ zerg waiting and its gone in less than 10 minutes. At least we got it for a few minutes though I guess.

Still I dont get why the transfer situation happened in first place. Once paid goes in, everyone is really screwed on these “bandwagon” servers that will rise up to have as big of a queue as they all originally transferred away from. It would have been more logical for everyone to spread out across all the servers instead of concentrating back on just a few servers and just repeat the problem over again, but again thats logical and most times people never do whats logical.

Okay, so why did all these Guilds transfer to Kaineng from high population servers to a lower one, only to rise to a higher population and back up the tiers? Simple answer, as they have explained over and over – Better WvW Community. Let’s leave it at that.

And, I seriously hope YB folks do not simply go back to PVE this week. Last night was fun and fairly evenly matched where I was, at the time I was on. Please keep coming out.

To late… Being a long time Yak’s Defender I can tell you that we are absolutely a fair weather server, this is the one thing that has frustrated me the most about being on Yak’s. Most of our community will no longer log on to WvWvW, what you will get is the regular hardcore WvWvW crew which will put up a good fight but will not have near the number you experienced last night. By Monday we will be outnumbered on all maps except YBBL.

Just wanted to say great fights tonight against a group of [OG] from Maguuma, we ended up in the north camp dueling a bit. I was the kitten Char Ele, your Ranger was amazing. Would love to know what build he is running, well done. Was the only one I couldn’t handle, GL in the upper tiers Mag!

I watched Yaks build 17 catapults in exactly the same position over a period of 2 hours yesterday in a valiant effort to take south west tower on their own borderlands with a force of 30 or more guys.

Hahaha… I saw this going down, and stayed as far away from it as possible as it was being led by one of the worst Commanders on Yak’s. To make things worse after failing to hold the lines, he split up only to leave half his crew to die as they were cut off!

We have some good Commanders, I promise you this was not one of them!

Lol at healing being worthless, using a similar setup to Daph and 2 Sup Water, 2 Major Water and 2 Div I heal for the following;

Dodge while attuned to water = 2200 for me and any ally close.
Water skill 5 = 2100
Auto Attacking while attuned to water gives me around 275 per
Heal Signet ticks are solid as well, don’t recall the exact number but I want to say its 200 or so.

Not charr, mine is a charr and i regret it, there are almost no light armors that look good on charr.

Charrs are made for heavy armor, they are brutal and so are their armors, if you want to wear light armor go for human/silvary

I have a Char and absolutely love it for the following reasons, keep in mind I am 99% WvWvW.

1) Their voice and animations when I destroy, gib and dominate people is by far the biggest perk of going Char. Every time I switch attunements or gib someone is my favorite.
2) I have found some cultural armor that looks good and resembles heavy armor a little more and looks great, specially using Abyss color die.
3) Unlike human and Norn even though the Char are big their animations are still hard to make out so aren’t as predictable for countering skills.

IOJ is the big dog here, T3 dropping down with a huge Oceanic presence that will tick high during non NA peak time. Do not under estimate them.

I personally will never understand why in a game people fight for second place. When 3rd helps 1st to take down 2nd. 3rd and 2nd should Always team up to beat down #1 as far as possible then fight it out. 2nd place is the #2 loser. Every time I see Ehmry attack Yaks, while DB has easily takeable objectives.. it boggles my mind. You take more of #1 than us, then not only are you gaining on 1st, but second as well. Not complaining.. I like barreling into you guys and being killed by a few well placed strikes.. it is a game, but I don’t understand why you guys are not playing to win rather than place?

Here’s why…if you’re vsing a server you cant beat one on one…like our current matchup. Neither YB or EB can take DBs night crew, its more than both ours combined. Now if we teamed up to gank DB, then one server will have to concede 1st place to the other…otherwise soon as we start fighting each other for first, DB steps in and rolls over us both. So either we realize our servers limitations and hold to that…or we concede to the other. Im sure nobody on either server is willing to concede 1st place.

By your own logic.. you already conceded first place. Now you are just fighting for first loser (second). By double teaming the number 1 team in their off hours, and beating them back, you narrow the distance between 1st , 2nd and 3rd. Then, once you see a chance to actually overtake them, you begin to maneuver to be the one to do so. Right now, Ehmry is fighting to be the 2nd place team that loses by only 30k, by attacking YB so much during the day instead of against a dominant night time server, aka the team that is kicking your stuffings out.

No sarcasm here. By all means, feel free to double team us. I prefer for us to move up to the next tier by overcoming such a challenge. That way we will know that we definitely belong in the next tier rather than barely making it and getting hammered down fast.

With your Asian/Oceanic coverage you guys definitely belong 1 tier up, I am curious to see how you guys do against other server who also have the same.
