What your facing at 12AM-4/5 AM Eastern are those that haven’t gone to sleep yet from the NA time zone. Same as you guys.
Is NNK NA? Looks like different names than we see in primetime. So doesn’t seem like NA, unless your NA team doesn’t start playing the game in earnest till like 11 PM NA. We rarely get pushed by DB prior to that.
But seems like a lot of these groups are not used to being hit back at all, other than maybe by a token force that its easy for them to overwhelm. Having 50 man groups routed by maybe half of that when they do actually meet organized resistance.
Shouldn’t be surprising really if that is all one is used to facing. It takes consistent competition to force you to improve tactically. But its definitely up there beyond this tier. We have played IoJ, CD, TC, these teams that are used to having to battle intensely off peak, and they are very good at it.
Just to chip in, 2 out of 3 current T2 servers TC and SoR have next to no oceanic coverage. We’re talking 10 people on 2 maps during those times…a strong oceanic is mandatory for T1 and for winning T2, but it isn’t everything. And any server that thinks they can ride a strong oceanic base all the way up is sorely mistaken. Crystal Desert will be like a brick wall, for one.
Can I just say again that I miss playing TC? Fun fights and respectful people all around. We all have forum trolls, I know, but our communities were mostly civil and we even had quite a few fight nights and dance parties!

I’m not defending the thief because they have culling and yes they usually just pressing the first skill, but the 90% of players don’t think about remowing conditions. If you rewome conditions from yourself, then these kind of thiefs can’t do anything at all with you and after a while they will probably put down that house skill and run away like a little b…. Oh and if you also blow back the thiefs from the house skill (I just don’t know it’s name) they will come back from stealth instantly. And there is stun and imobilize too.

The P/D Thief’s bleed only lasts 2-3 sec, so if you remove it he will reapply within seconds. Their stacks are constantly falling off and wouldn’t really make a difference if you removed them, I see people do it all the time to me and doesn’t help them a bit.
The house skill is called Shadow Refuge, and if you blow me out of it which happens all the time I will just use one of my other 3 stealths. Being a P/D Thief myself I completely understand everyone’s complaint, but I just love when people offer up incorrect info specially when they come off as all mighty knowing!
I have 4 lvl 80 Char’s and have been loving playing the Ele, much more complicated and dynamic to play. With great skill it is by far the most ridiculous class to deal with when played right.

No offense. But YB has no real room to trash talk any other server. You are in 3rd. You have been beat Maguuma within recent history in this same matchup. Your people are fairweather players. They whine about Oceanic presences. Whereas on Maguuma people show up throughout the week no matter the score. We actually liked DB.
Guys like Bunzy are not real team players. He hardly understands TWs, and uses as a launching point for attention kittening and ego boosting. Not really a representative figure of Maguuma at all.
But if you want to talk trash about Maguuma, you should really work on turning YB the right way. For much of your T4 visits you have been going the wrong way.

I think Yak’s was just trying to communicate that facing a non NA prime server is a bummer, versus the dynamic when you have 3 NA prime servers fighting. I will agree that Yak’s is a fair weather server, although there is a nice core group of us that fight no matter what. I will also say that I personally enjoy fighting EB/MAG more so than DB because in my experience from the people I have faced the quality of the players are better, and it’s a 3 way during all of our prime vs a 2 way.
I will give a shout of to EB, you guys have really shown up this round. The fights have been awesome, lots of skill and tactics. I look forward to more great fights, just wish Yak’s would show up!

I disagree. I think DB NA prime is Tier 4. Maybe not the top of tier 4 but we are there. Without complaining, our NA crew is being focused by both of the other servers else we would be shooting up the tier alot faster. This is fine and I encourage it since I think DB should stay in tier 4 a while before moving up allowing our NA prime player base to build up and get stronger. Either way, we are here to stay in the tier this time.
DB NA team is nowhere near t4 quality. At best I would put it at mid t5.
Maybe your night crew is no where near t4 quality.

First time posting ever. I been doing the JP on 1 BL a fair amount and this morning I did again, that is , I tried. 3 YB cowards started to attack from water as I was climbing toward the lower key. Why ?. I don’t get it. Small people I guess. Next time guys, try a 1 on 1 if you have the guts. I have never attacked a player in a JP myself but I guess that is just me.
Been having at ton of fun this matchup, good work all.
You do realize the jumping puzzle is in WvW, right? And being so, it is a free-for-all, PvP zone. There is so secret or “honorable” rule to not attack people in the there. Attacking someone in the JP does not make you small or a coward, just as attacking someone anywhere else on the map doesn’t make you one. They are they enemy, this is PvP, they might give me a loot bag. I don’t get why people think that because it’s a jumping puzzle, it’s a safe zone and getting ganked, attacked, or camped is such an atrocity (not you in particular).
Dunno if you’ve encountered it yet, but people also camp the JP. Good luck dealing with that but there will be no need to post about it.

This is exactly how yaks bend play. We have had zergs of 50+ chase us all the way across the map. They just use zerg to kill everything.

FYI it was 3 of us + sometimes a 4th and I sat ahead of others for 1v1s if people so dared. Hi to all Yaks/Ebay that refused to attack me alone until you had greater numbers (all but that YAY thief guy). BTW it took you 10+ from both servers to finally kill me, Yaks let ebay up first and followed after ebay all died. We also were back up top again in 5 mins and laughing as Ebay sat at bottom waiting for ports. GW2 WvW in a nutshell.
That’s nice to come out and admit that you actually camp there. You are what’s wrong about wvw. Go do something productive for once instead being a thorn in peoples kitten Then again what should one expect from the 4chan of gw2.

Most of the mags I know are out there just to PvP. They tend to prefer player kills to pvdoor and will purposely target areas with an enemy zerg rather than try to avoid them.

I am slowly losing respect for Yaks Bend server. A majority of their posts are QQ propaganda. Posting exploits is bad practice I hope that guy has been banned. what a shame I thought you guys over at Yaks were stand up guys, you have proven me wrong. GL with that guys.

Quoted because this is what roaming is really about. You don’t need a profession that can win fair fights, you want a profession that never has to fight fair. Mobility means only engaging in fights you know you’re going to win.
Well as a Thief and d/d Ele I can win any fight, so I only engage when I want to. Has nothing to do with only choosing fights I think I can win because I can win them all with both, every now and then I loose to a well played Thief or Ele.

Read it again, not sure what I am missing. He is suggesting that stealth goes on a CD for 60 secs and then he can vanish out of combat. That is way too long.
No I did not mention what the cooldown would be for revealed, only that it should be longer. What is it in the other games? 10 sec? 20? Then if you choose so you could use a utility skill called Vanish that would have a long cooldown, like the other game more of a oh kitten skill.

I think that once a thief engages a target, there should be a cooldown before they can re-enter stealth…
There is although it is way to short, it should be more similar to other popular MMO’s not needing mentioned. Make the stealth cool down after engaging longer and then give the Thiefs a 60 sec cooldown vanish utility skill again similar to the other MMO’s.

What’s the issue with double dagger backstab thiefs. If you use a pistol / dagger that’s far more easy to play. The thiefs who stick up for p/d are the worst type of players using the thief class. I’m looking for more duels wildbill is a joke now that he can’t alt+f4.
Real thiefs switch weapons depending on the kill.
Hahahahaha… Let’s see P/D = Steal/CnD – Sneak Attack vs D/D = Steal/CnD – Backstab hmm huge difference in skill required there, I love people’s logic in justifying there own means.

I think it’s about the fact that it’s so kitten hard to finish off a thief. Other classes, if you are defeated, you die. With the thief it’s, if you are defeated, you just retreat, heal up, and come back and try to snipe that person again. It’s a class where you can be beaten over and over and over again, and never die. You just get to retry the fight over and over until you win. At least in WvW.
The culling bug (late rendering after they should appear after attacking) is certainly helping the class as well.
It’s really annoying to other classes. If they charge into a pair of guys, they better win, or they will die. Having this super mobile class that can not be caught, and can run down any other class just ruins the open world pvp for me.
I have a pistol/dagger thief based around mobility/escapism. I rarely die. I’m bored of that class and playing a few others now, and oh my gosh am I realizing how OP the thief is now. The class is hurting the enjoyment of many people for WvW. No joke.
With my other classes I’m playing I’m learning how to fight different classes, and making use of all my powers. With my thief all I used is regular 1 attack, and Cloak and Dagger, number 5 with my P/D spec. I use that in every fight, vs every class, 1v1, or 1v10. It’s a god kitten joke.
Yet the Ele D/D does the same thing you describe —→ They bail out and come right back with full health and you fail to mention them once, why not? Is it only the stealth?
