Hey so I got the game when it came out and keep playing it on and off but i’ve never actually done any end game content. Until recently when I boosted a necromancer to 80 and started randomly exploring maguuma, which was fun but I want a goal to aim for.

I have started the mastery thing to get precursor weapons (because I want twilight) but I have no idea how to get mastery in central Tyria. What am I supposed to be doing??

Also is it worth it to just buy a precursor and then go straight for the legendary?

On my guardian I have unlocked everything apart from anything from the dragonhunter elite specialisation but I only have 18 unspent hero points, and the wiki says that the only way to aquire them is from levelling up or the hero challenges- but I’m already level 80.

Earning 1 hero point for every challenge around the map would take ages, and I don’t think that there is enough so what do I do? Is it because my skill points were converted as I was level 80 before HOT??

What is the cost to make a legendary (in gold, karma, badges of honor etc…)if I bought as much stuff as possible from the TP including the materials for the precursor?

Ok thanks guys, this is good news as they can only decrease in price even more! I’ve wanted them for a while now so this is awesome (the prices before were ridiculous) but I feel extremely sorry for people who bought them to then re sell later but instead this happens.

Another thing to add is that people say that humans are boring, but we are still a unique race in the game – the same as if we were asuras playing the game, we would find playing an asura boring

I only ever play human males made to look as close to me as possible (including physique and height etc)

I don’t know why but I just like having myself in the game as if I was in that world instead of this one. I prefer it to playing as some random cat thing that I have no relation to.

yes, all the armor is exotic knights draconic and the exotic pearl greatsword

Im a level 80 guardian with full knight exotics (not berserker’s because I still need practice) and I am following a current meta build for PVE guardian with greatsword and sword/torch.

My health is only 11k when other peoples guardians have 15k ish

What am I doing wrong?

Do I have to be level 80 to go in to a path that someones selling or do I just need to be the level that unloks explorable mode?

Also do you get 1 level from finishing the dungeon (killing the boss) for each path?

I was just wondering because i’m fine to throw some gold away and level faster, thanks in advance

Which node is the most common though? Mining, harvesting or logging? And which one would make me the most money if I could only get 1?

Guardian is good for multiple things, it has good survivability and healing, a lot of support abilities and good dps. Not only that but a decently wide variety of weapons.

I can get 60fps on max settings in places with not many people on screen. When doing events and wvw I change to medium and low settings (which still look amazing) and get 30fps

SAB will be better than anything else for april fools. It would be better if ANET just released it as permanent content – even if it is only world 1 and 2 i’d be fine with that.

Its one of the only fun things to preoccupy people with because its multiple jumping puzzle with combat and all other features all in one place, and the skins look awesome.

They spent so much effort on it that it goes to waste as temporary content

Hello everyone, earlier today I was taking screenshots in GW2 but then there was no space left to store them so it gave me an error and when I clicked “ok” it closed GW2.

Later today it happened again but instead of pressing “ok” I just alt tabbed back into the game. Then a few minutes later it froze and I couldn’t do anything so I had to restart my laptop.

Now everything is running in slow motion, here is a list of examples:

- The windows animation for tabs opening (when it fades in while growing) is a lot slower

- There is a small delay when pressing the keys to the letters appearing (for anything where I type)

- Youtube videos are slow and jittery

- When you press the windows icon key on the keyboard (I have windows 8 btw) the animations for the icons appearing on that screen are in slow motion)

- Scrolling up/down in a webpage/word document is in slow motion

Please help me

EDIT: Okay guys now I just realised that my clock in the bottom right of my desktop is in slow motion too after checking my local time online

Iv’e really been wanting to get into gw2 and reach level 80 on a character, but every time that I go to do that I can never decide which race or profession I should be and then continuously reroll until I get bored.

Is there any advice on what I should do / what proffesions are the most fun?

You should also be aware of Dungeon DR (Diminishing Returns)

Dungeon DR reduces the completion rewards for completing the same path more than once. Unlike other forms of DR, dungeon DR is account-based, meaning it cannot be avoided by running the same path on multiple characters. It works in two ways:

The bonus reward (40 tokens and ~1 –3 ) is only awarded once per path per day, resetting at the same as the dailies.

Completing the path consecutively or in less than 30 minutes triggers a second type of DR, which reduces the base reward for that path by half until reaching a minimum value.

If you do plan to swap at end bosses its best to ask your group ahead of time to make sure its okay. I personally don’t mind it and most groups won’t care, but others may kick you as it can slow everyone else down.

Is it true that you get 1 level for each path that you do (including story mode) no matter what level you are? If so then would it be quick to level a bit through hearts, then craft to 35 and then just run dungeons each day?

When playing GW2, my CPU is overall around 70 C, but when there is a lot going on this can reach 83 C on two of the four cores, while the others are at around 78 C.

My GPU is around 60 – 65 C when playing the game and can reach 70 C + when there is more going on.

So my question is are these temperatures safe for my laptop and what temperatures are dangerous for CPU’s and GPU’s in general? Also I have been thinking of buying this:

In my experiment I got to lvl 31. I avoided dailies and never used any buffs or food.

I see, at least there isn’t too much variation (with dailies and DE’s)
