I have to agree with Crovax about this. I have also been averaging about 40g per million karma. With 1 million karma I got about 25g from Unidentified Objects alone, then the rest of the money you make depends on what lodestones you get.
The hyena pet currently only has 824 power at 0 BM, while all other dogs have 1718 power at 0 BM.
This build calculator was updated very quickly after the latest patch came out.
I will agree that the bosses can take a long time to kill…. when you are the only one alive in your party.
Odd that we are being carried by our early morning crew when just this evening during NA prime time we took over everything in Yaks borderland, and held SMC for almost the entire day. I would have sworn that it was our server working together so well that was causing us to win. But what do I know, I just happened to be a guy that was there to see it all. I’m sure your right about this.
The problem everyone is having with siege is that the siege cap is now map wide instead of being in a small area.
Still fun doing all that pvdoor tonight in EB. It made seeing a golem walk up to a tower door an epic moment that everyone cheered for.
I was helping defend Hills in CD bl last night. I logged on, ran to hills, and charged into battle. Then a guardian from SoS threw me off a cliff and I had to start over from spawn.
I think the only stat of your that will affect your pet is your healing power determining how much it is healed for. I’m not sure of this because when I tried to test it in pve, the changes to pet aggro made it so everything would come after me and then my pet would kill it without taking damage.
This should solve your problem.
Some fun math on the Molten Alliance Pick.
Currently costs 21.6 gold (this has probably changed).
That’s 540 regular 4 silver picks.
That would require you to mine 54,000 nodes to make up for how much you spent on it.
That ends up being 162,000 pieces of ore.
Good luck ever mining that much, but I bought one anyways :p.
EDIT
Someone correctly pointed out that I mixed my numbers up and it is only 18,000 mining nodes, and 54,000 pieces of ore (still quite a lot).

You were correct about my pet being in combat and me being in combat seem to be different. Edited my above post to reflect that.
EDIT
It seems me being in combat does not make my pet enter combat like how your pet entering combat entering combat does make you enter combat.
So yes concentration training works if your pet is in combat, not just you.

After extensive testing I have discovered some interesting things about pets and boon duration.
Concentration Training at this time gives no increase to the duration of boons.
When you look at the descriptions of skills on your pet that grant boons, the shown boon duration is calculated based on your boon duration, not your pet’s, despite your boon duration having no effect on the duration of your pet’s boons.
To sum it all up your pets have a boon duration of +0% no matter what you have or what traits you choose.
Pets skills will always give (including non-F2 skills) one of the following, no matter what the skill says:
10 seconds of regeneration (Fern Hound and Bears)
4 seconds of protection (Blue Moa)
15 seconds of fury (Red Moa)
10 seconds of power (Jungle Stalker)
10 seconds of swiftness (Birds)
EDIT
Important bit on this post is the information about skill descriptions being misleading based on your boon duration.

Just captured the temple on Crystal Desert.
Balth down on Crystal Desert.
Ranger updates, any being worked on?
I’m currently running a condition damage/trapping build on my ranger, and for it to be the most effective I use the traits Trapper’s Expertise, a master trait in the Skirmishing trait line, and Trap Potency, a grandmaster trait in Skirmishing.
The problem that I have with them being in Skirmishing is that putting points into Skirmishing give you +critical chance and +critical damage.
These bonuses don’t really help out my trapping builds, while the Marksmanship trait line, + condition duration, and the Wilderness Survival trait line, + condition damage, directly improve traps.
These two reasons, critical buffs not helping traps and condition buffs helping traps, make me think that Trapper’s Expertise and Trap Potency would fit better into Marksmanship or Wilderness Survival rather than Skirmishing.
