Just some healthy criticism on the listed ideas:

1) It does sounds fun, but it will turn out that there will be no reason to roll on the map without at least 40 man zerg, since you need to build additional siege to take every tower with one superior, also 40 man zerg requires 4 camps to replenish supplies and this is not fun at all. So I think that will so much favor the defense that 3-4 siege placed in tower will make it invincible to 40-50 man zerg and wvwvw will became all about open field battles.
2) That is ok. Although I can’t sasy it is a big issue since you need pretty big zerg to finish gates have 5% or less without all of it dying under arrow carts fire.
3) Idea of the zones is cool, there are possibilities to come up with really awesome stuff for zones.
4) I’m a bit confused here, OK maybe, since right now dying in the BL means you’ll rez only at WP and it is not always close to where you’ve died. This change will require complete overhaul of the wvwvw maps.
5) This is kinda new approach to Bloodlust buff, sounds good actually, especially the part with different buffs depending on what you’re trying to do now.

Does Anet care about WvW?

1. I feel there is a confusion about PvP and WvW, it is a different game modes and WvW doesn’t require much balancing, because it is Massive part of MMO, which is first – impossible to balance, second – balanced enough.
2. It depends, running with my guild I have enough rewards to not complain, I just don’t really know what rewards I want, I can get all what I need (all ascended gear) and gold to keep myself with everything else.

Strange connection, PUGs and downed state I don’t really this as a reason for downed state to go. The only issues with random players around you is that they won’t join you on public TS and they won’t follow your lead, they won’t commit as guildies do, so you can’t really trust them.

Imbalanced class design heavily favors armor.

1) sure, why not, that is the difference between words “heavy” and “light”
2) see point 1 and stack toughness
3) condition damage is counter to armor if you are not aware of it, check wiki article about condition damage
4) can you specify this “huge AOE” since I don’t have any on my warrior in my tanky zerg build
5) they do gave CC and no damage whatsoever
6) to have mobility you need to invest in particular weapons/traits/skills successfully trading out damage and everything else <- this is about warriors, guardians just don’t have ANY mobility even if you ask santa
7) specify plz, having 90 second cooldown on automatic CC doesn’t count as a HUGE advantage
8) that is just bunch of words without any constructive feedback behind

Ability to report Griefers?

Exactly, as of right now, I don’t care about anything which mentioned in CDI just because griefers will ruin everything: smart queue, extended commander functionality, no skill lag, fair world population, new league system – doesn’t matter, someone will drop all your golems and build a lot of ballistas where you don’t need them and months of work from anet will be wasted.

I wonder will we ever have ability to report Griefers?

It is really annoying to see your golems dropped from the cliff, because someone think it is viable strategy in wvwvw.

Would be awesome to see implementation of something similar to Tribunal in LoL, so Community of gw2 could actually have some impact on the game, beside posting on the forums. It could also save some Customer Support team time.

If toughness diminish condi damage then it will destroy the purpose of having condi in the game in the first place and new meta will be Toughness stacking, since it will be most effective defensive stat period.

Adding to everything what was already said in terms of how to fight against condi, try to increase you’re healing maybe.

If your only playing once every 2 weeks and you want everything to be “easy in a zerg” then this is for you. Your done the first day.

Sorry, this is not accomplishment I can be proud of. How about one living story event that requires intelligence, an actual time commitment and designed for a group of 5 or less. Something that everyone doesn’t complete in a day or two.

I see what you did there

Personally I’m ok with Living Story content “consumed” in 2-3 days, that is exactly what I want for PvE content, since I don’t really like to “replay” PvE content a lot it is becomes boring. But having something new for a couple days every couple weeks between WvWvW is fun. I guess it all comes down to things like not everyone will be able to play the full two weeks.

Thank you anet for this update, I did enjoyed it!

Positive things:
- Tower feels like “raid dungeon” where you need to progress and kill bosses.
- It does looks like Nightmare as advertised, with all the spawn timer and elite mobs.
- Champions at the end of the levels are strong, fights like worm require dodging so it is not just staying in water field and dpsing it down.
-Chambers feels like a small quite reward after hard tower run.
-Hybrid model is really cool.
-Never played content where Marjory and Kasmeer were introduced into the game, but I like them, looking forward to see more.

Negative things:
-Scarlet being Scarlet not revealing anything about what actually drives her to do all the things (short story posted on website didn’t helped much).
-Not casual/newb friendly tower (I know, I love, but we can’t deny it). All the players who used to just run and press 1 in zerker builds are dying in a matter of milliseconds and got really frustrated.

Other thoughts:
After I’ve done the final fight with Hybrid and saw the cinematic, I was left puzzled again with questions like “Scarlet, who the hell are you?”, “Why are you doing this?”, “What is your goal?”. I had a crazy thought that Scarlet maybe could be one of the elder dragons (who I believe can use their powers to shapeshift into anything), I mean she is crazy doing silly things which kill people and make disasters and according to what I’ve read on wiki about elder dragons they are savage creatures which we can’t really understand. Maybe it is kinda amusing game by some of the dragons…

Silver League just broken

I’m looking at this “out or they will lose many players who feel they have been ignored and spitted on with this lack of empathy.” and wondering “how many exactly?”, if there are at least 20, get them all together and fight.
FA, SBI, YB win only because you don’t want to fight, it is that easy. 20 man zerg making a big difference already.

I feel that way as well. I feel like no logical thought went into the rewards in this game at all. The rewards should progress as the difficulty progresses, but the rewards are a jumbled mess of confusion.

That would be vertical progression with rewards based on difficulty based on new tier of equipment, something that every other MMO based on and which Anet decided to not follow.

The Living Story should provide incentive to play it all the way through, and not just provide a minipet that I will never use.

I’m really sorry, could you please repeat that again? Living Story should provide incentive to play in terms of reward? I thought Living Story represent piece of content based on ongoing story and there are no incentive to play it until you really into you know, Story.

I’m really confused what is going with people saying that rewards are not good in Gw2, it feels like everything people want to see is the rewards (and better come with shiny item with awesome stats), is it really so exciting to get an item and… hm… equip it I guess, so what is next? Repeat cycle continuously? Sounds like progress bar game to me:

Role of the Merc camps in Borderlands?

So the question about Merc Camps comes from the Season 1 achievements, because most of the things (excluding JPs) are part of the core WvWvW gameplay (capturing camps, tower, keeps, castles, killing other players, sentries, repairing the gates, crashing the gates etc).
The only thing which is kinda excluded from the list is Merc camps, since I can imagine only Dredge and Ogres are captured often in EB and I believe the only reason is “zerg just passing by, why not to capture them” and this “passing by” argument isn’t applied to Borderlands and I cannot remember anyone tried to cap them for some meaningful purpose.
Am I missing something or mercs in BL need to be moved or changed in some way?

Feedback: WvW Season 1 Achievements

Except the mercs everything else is fine and achievable in 7 weeks without any issues. Regarding the casual players: well you know casual player isn’t the one who plays 2 hours per week and want to have every achievement, that guy is a greedy achievement hunter. Even JPs is OK since it is one run, 20-30 minutes and you’re done.
Rewards? Well rewards is out of question for me personally, since any meaningful reward will spawn more hunters, it seems people nowadays can’t play games if don’t see achievement progress bar with phat loot at the end I don’t get it – why do you request rewards for crushing your opponents? Isn’t it enough?

I didn’t read all the messages here, but I think this is the right place to post about Season Achievements.

Dear Anet, you’re giving too much freedom here and by giving anyone freedom to do achievements in WvWvW, you’re promoting PvE players to take freedom of playing WvWvW from wuv community (we all know that BLs are limited in capacity). Since being a better person requires to post possible solution for the issue, here is mine:

For Season 2 provide additional achievement category, similar to wvwvw, but covering PvE content. Since Seasonal achievement doesn’t cover anything new and only existing wvwvw features add a PvE season with stuff like: complete X dungeons, X fractals, X temple events, X world bosses etc with similar rewards at the end of the season.

Here is the bug thing: make players choose PvE or WvWvW season, so every player will be asked “Which achievements you want to do?” and lockout second category, so it will be unavailable. In the end achievement points for completing either of the category will be same, but you decide which content you belong to and not interrupting players who love to do something else.
