one day has passed, and all we got is a new patch that only fixed trivial things (and on top of that, hot is out from like a month and i still couldn’t play it), and devs still refuse to even acknowledge this problem …and why they should? after all, to them, we’re just a minority of ppl who can’t/don’t want to buy a new shining pc (so we surely won’t buy gems). they already took our money for hot, and since we dared to complain about not being able to play it, and now they’re making the same to the whole game, so we’ll just leave the game and let them enjoy our bucks… this is what i call a SCAM! because, that’s what it is, they make u buy something that you think it’ll work (played beta for hours without any crash), and then when they get the bucks, poof, they just disappear! as a veteran player from gw1 i really didn’t expect this kind of attitude from you… being treated as trash that needs to be ignored

Well, calling them scammers may be over the top here. Don’t get me wrong, I am just as mad as you are – losing several Octovine maps, VW just as we killed the last boss and I didnt even get to the chest… They may not have expected to face this many issues. After all, a lot of things they present to us are new, like raids, or gliding. I do understand that the codes are all sort of difficult, HOWEVER, they need to release a communication (if that hasn’t been done already) on what they think the issue is and how they are fixing it. I think GW2 need a PTS, like WoW or ESO have. Maybe a lot of these issues could have been avoided. I’m playing ESO (that has far better and more detailed graphics) and I have no issue with it. I ran Skyrim and Hearthstone, no issues, no crashes not even lags.

I started complaining shortly after HoT hit, and everyone told me to shut it, that it was my PC and not Anet, and how flawless and smooth the launch went. Well, yeah, LAUNCH was smooth, everything post-launch is poop (I’ll refrain from using stronger words). I’ve been with GW2 for over a year, and I must say I have never had this many issues with it, and I am certainly appalled that not a word from the devs on the issue.

Still no follow up from Anet to let ppl know they are at least working on it? Suggest why these issue persist to exist? I have been complaining about the crash issues ever since the release of the patch fixing the mastery farm in CoF came out. Every patch I crash all the time. It used to be just the AB map during Octovine event, now it’s Central Tyria as well and i didnt even have to face a boss – just switching maps crash the game… I am having the worst experince EVER with the game…. ArenaNet, can we, please, get some info on what’s going on?

cant seem to get krepet to talk. I do have the chest, but… I’m wondering if it requires the character who purchased it? Because my human necro bought it, I added it to wardrobe, but since he didnt have that location mapped in metrica, switched to my asura mesmer.

and he cant get krepet to talk. My suspicion is I’ll have to use my human necro. But I dont have time to test that right now.

Hey! make sure you complete this on the character that picked up the treasure hunt. It will NOT allow you to use alts! I was attemting to complete with an alt and it didnt work. However, when i switched to the original toon, I completed it with no problem.

I crashed walking through Lion’s Arch. I crash all the time now and I’m getting to the point that I’ll go read a book or play something else.

I ctashed changing maps, lost VW map just after killing the boss ( no a single lag, just poof, crashed). This is rather off putting to play

My game crashes after every patch since HoT launched… That’s ironical, I thought patches were supposed to fix the issues, not cause them…

So, I am confused. Someone spoiled something on the map chat, three people started calling that person names and supposedly reported them for spam chat so the person gets banned… Is this for real? Will that seriously be considered a spam chat? Is there a policy about that somewhere of the forum?

Does Anet really ban people for spoiling the story in like map chat? I see people either QQ about those who spoiled something or start openly blast spoilers with vulgar words and report for spam chat left, right and center… How is it a chat spam?

Update on my end: All of my characters seem to be working again. Hopefully it will get resolved for anyone else having issues.

What server are you on?

ANet Support requested leave them certain info in the topic linked below. Multiple servers have been hit with this issue but not all of them. Reported thus far: BG, TC, AR, HoD, CD. Guesting failed on YB and some other servers.

Found a way around it!
Guest into another Server. I was able to do that log into all my toons and then park them in different locations. Once you get them out of whatever area they are stuck in you can go back to your server and log in like normal or just continue guesting of course.

This seems like a server problem, Try gusting on another server. I used Borlis Pass and had luck.

It doesn’t solve the problem. This thing is spreading to other servers. My bf started having problems this afternoon. He’s on Anvil Rock. Last night he could play perfectly fine even though I was having problems when I went in from my account.

Is this some kind of virus or smth? It seems to be hitting more and more servers

worked for me ’cause I got stuck in Queensdale when I was in a party with someone and gor through… I guested on DB & re-parked in DR… When I returned to my own server, I got same Queensdale access issue again

So it’s certain servers’ problem? Both TC and BG got affected…

Bear in mind that this may get very frustrating, as it’s not something that ANet account can fix, and it may not be something that Comcast can fix, either. It could be taken care of tonight, or we could all be waiting days.

I personally would love to see an official response from ArenaNet with that pretty red emblem what is causing this issue. It’s impossible to play from the same PC, same location (in my case) and only one of us is getting this issue. It’s not Internet, it’s not Comcast, it’s not PC. It’s ANet side with particular accounts, so I’m waiting for it to get fixed.

Unfortunately, when it is a problem with a node like this there is nothing ANet can do. The problem is with part of the backbone of the internet somewhere between your house and ANet’s servers, and the company which runs that particular stop needs to get it fixed.

My bf and I play on the same pc taking turns from the same location. I have connection issue and he doesn’t…

Number of characters this is affecting: all of them (13 or 14)
Does this happen on multiple accounts or systems?: both GW1 (Kainent City, Marketplace earlier today) & GW2 accounts (areas mentioned above) and two PCs with Windows 32-bit and another one 64-bit are affected.

This is what I get. I cannot get into the Grove, Queensdale and always get teleported to LA to one of the central plazas. I had the same issue on GW1 account, couldn’t get into the Marketplace in Kaineng City… This is annoying and Support Team seems to have zero idea why this is happening.
