BG doesn’t know how to endure, JQ is still a solid contender though. My apologies to BG, it seems a lot of your guilds stop showing up, but how you gain guild is not how one makes a strong community. Whilst you guys say you have one, from everyone I talk to on BG your guilds seem very segregated and do their own things for the most part. We’ve never had that issue on SoR for…ages now. Yes we gained guilds, at a slow pace, but we never begged nobody to come, they came on their own accords because they enjoy how we are as a server. We don’t point fingers, even when we were losing we still came out strong everyday during our primetimes. You guys, just decided to disappear completely. I don’t know if its playing dead or not but somethings not right. You guys have the people/guilds to still be contenders in T1 yet you chose to sit and moan instead of going out and playing. SoR has been the underdog until these last few weeks. All we’ve gained is an EU guild that chose to come to us over the other two servers and a decent morale booster. Its up to you guys to motivate your guys to come out, complaining really gets you nothing. Now get out there and kittening play the game.

BG knows how to endure, it has been kicked out of tier 1 twice and twice it has come back to the top tier. It has even managed to become 3 time champions of tier 1. The only other server to be kicked out of tier 1 and has managed to make it back was Stormbluff Isle. All the other servers, Henge of Denravi, Eredon Terrace, Isle of Janthir and Sea of Sorrows have freefalled down the tiers, without ever coming back to tier 1.

Jade Quarry has never experienced what it’s like to be kicked out of tier 1, and neither has Sanctum of Rall. You should respect the resilience and resolve that Blackgate has shown, and will continue to show.

The farthest I can go back is right when HoD collapsed. But back during the days when HoD was a power house I remember us being kicked out of tier 1 for only 1 week. ET took our place that week and we moved down to fight in tier 2 against CD and DB.

Im sure any of the older JQ members (even you TW guys) might remember that week as we crushed them after about 5 hours of fighting.

So yea JQ has been though the whole falling out of tier 1 thing, We pulled though it though and honestly with the way they are talking about reseting how match ups work it does not matter at this point.

JQ still has the most tier 1 one week battle wins in NA. Second in the world.

Also we have been in tier 1 the longest out of any single server.

SoR has the staying power that JQ has now as long as they can keep a tight knit community like JQ has had since release. Looks like we might become the next sor <3 JQ after sadly the JQ <3 SBI died with sbi ;_;

BG sadly tends to go super hard pushing for like 3-4 days then burns themself out. I have yet to see much of BG out in force since the one week they really pushed after getting WM.

Its not just about having strong WvW guilds, its about having a strong WvW community. Every single person matters in WvW down to the yak walking/siege refresher/scout up to the voice coms commanders. I think this is where a lot of servers go wrong is where they like to think the WvW guilds will just carry them, when in the end they end up burning themselves out.

I just looked through the Millenium scores and as much as I hate to admit it SoR isn’t really winning by much.

The scores are relatively close compared to the wins that BG and JQ had against the same opponents.

Its been over a year now and im pretty sure 90% of population problems in WvW is the burn out on how shallow this RvR is and how it has not changed at all (excpet AC wars now) since beta.

Have to feel sort of bad for the recent BG transfers in Rise, WM, Meow, Thai, etc. They definitely did not transfer to BG for “PVE” content as that could be had anywhere.

All that gold farming to pay for transfers and look what it’s gotten them. BG, NA “FULL” server has basically given up for the 2nd straight week.

Thai has and Meow have been on BG for a while now if im not mistaken. Thai and HB were the first kinda big wvw guilds for that server back during the sbi/jq/bg days.

Not so serious, but there’s a deeper truth on JQ that non-JQ expats don’t understand.. Like why they’re so stable in the upper tiers.
I challenge them because we deserve to fight a JQ united. Not a JQ reliant on so few and on hours outside NA. They’re just old and stubborn like me! And more than a few of them agree with me.

Believe me the old vets that have been here since release (when you guys were here) still put in our only game time as time spent in wvw. Winning or not im in there either every day. JQ is going no where our WvW guilds are behind this server no matter if we are in first or third. We play for the hell of the game.

I think honestly its more or less the games WvW population outside of wvw guilds are dying as a whole. :l If you think about it SoR and BG have some decent size wvw guilds but honestly JQ still has the smaller/medium size WvW guilds and then our few larger international guilds. Either way you will always see our NA guilds out there no matter the point score ready to kick kitten and load up our bags………..maybe even make a few hundred omega pushes like we did tonight for the lulz

I think everyone can agree that is in tier 1. No one likes being against or on a stacked server. I actually have enjoyed wvw the last 2 weeks more than I have the past few months that JQ has been on top because it has made the fighting intense. During most time zones now. I just want to see all 3 servers balanced and healthy competing with each other.

In other news yea we used those omegas to crack garrison a few times then again on hills. :P we did it honestly for the lulz. Plus sadly we had to actually get inside a keep to fight us because every time we would fight them in the field they would run come on sor I thought you guys love field fighting.

Yep im just coming back to report the lag has been here all day on that Borderland. It gets so bad any fight I get in it lags me out completely. This happens on no other borderland except jade quarry.

are you guys all in tier 1 and on jqbl? The only place I found the lag was on our borderland. Its un playable right now and only started this morning. Everyone in my guild is experiencing it currently there.

Might wanna fix the AoS one. We are no where near 400+ anymore. We recently kicked out a lot of inactive and people that were not hard core wvw and trimmed our fat we are still 240+ though. Roughly run about 25-30 during reset/weekend and field 20 on the week during NA prime. Oceanic we field about 15 currently and SEA ( recruiting a ton) field about 15 bad kitten guys.

Also I would like to point out that we just recently opened back up recruitment and it is very limited down, we take recruitment seriously as we are a solely wvw guild. We still run guild bounties for merits but every night we are running with the guild in full force on a BL or eb lately. Join us -Velkeri-

Yea honestly I have played with a lot of those guys since early release. I would have been sad to see them go if they were the same they were at release but sadly they are the chest thumping guilds we have.

I cant think personally off the top of my head any WvW guild that does not work well with our other JQ guilds (ok maybe one but they are pve). 90% of our guilds get in the same teamspeak server and we all work together, down to your pug player up to your experienced field commander all in the same ts3 server and channel. having voice coms and a full community to back you makes WvW a lot more fun.

Note that SoR was basically in this, i.e. third place several weeks ago. Too strong for T2, but not quite staffed to cover all timezones adequately in T1. And now we’re on top of the point heap.

If JQ can fill their coverage gaps, either by adding some guilds, or by getting the current population into WvW they’ll be a force to reckon with again.

BTW, Is JQ running training camps? PvE’ers coming into WvW for the first time will get run over mercilessly in T1 without some guidance.

Not going to give it away but we are doing something all right but it is sad that not as many people do wvw as they use to at the start of the game (hated the ques but the fights were awesome). I think honestly its the same across all servers, hardly any pug players left unless its a steam roll win, most of the borderlands are just filled up with WvW guilds now and the burn out is getting worst because of it.

Feel bad for DB All these mediocre transfer guilds are really reducing the servers overall skill level.

Any guilds on DB who may be willing to step it up with an amazing group in JQ are more than welcome to explore the possibilities. I had a couple hours on JQBL last night with EMP and some others, and it was an amazingly good time holding a paper garrison from numbers twice or three times our size. It’s starting to feel again like it should. I logged off smiling and would be quite happy to share that experience with other guilds looking for real T1 combat.

According to RE they were the best of EMP, and since they are rather mediocre, how would transferring to JQ help?

No offense boss, and i’m not trying to start more drama. But as a commander on JQ i’ll take the current version of EMP then what it was before their so called “best” went to DB. The ones who decided to stay and remain with us on JQ are a great group of pvpers.

At least now i can count on EMP players and commanders to not rage quit the map when things go bad like noodles had a reputation for.

I do know that TW is always harping about the lack of loot they get now though. That in itself should be telling at the quality of players you all got in RE

I can say I look forward to playing with them on maps for now on and it was nothing but dread before. They handle wvw in a manner of professionalism and respect to all players that was not seen in a long time from that guild.

The WP auto contests when tagged but the white swords don’t trigger on the keep for 30seconds. I.e the Keep wp is useless once its tagged.

As a extremely active commander on JQ, I find it a bit funny this is coming from another JQ guy. We normally already have people watching towers/gate (water gate on jqbl for example) all the time already so im not sure what this will change except it will give us a chance to way point even after they set up siege.

if anything this is really going to make it harder to zerg places because of the response times due to the way points. Oh and I have spent countless times when i need to eat or take a break watching a area. I wouldn’t dare ask some one to do something I was not willing or able to do my self before. Stop crying about stuff you should already be doing in tier 1.

We all know that they only chose DB, because of it’s SEA coverage already in place. They wouldn’t of moved to any other server where they actually had to work to create a well rounded server.

Whats kinda funny is we found the RE guild leader trying to recruit our sea coverage even though none of them got along with them in the past haha. They really dont have that many SEA guilds at all, expect them to be in T2 for a while. hopefully we will get the chance to fight TC soon im looking forward to you guys bumping up soon.

Kinda curious why these guilds would transfer to a server that has won their tier for the past 6 weeks in a row…Trying to cultivate Dragonbrand and work your way back to T1? Guild members need map completion? Just bored of the current T1 matchup?

I mean, doesn’t seem like you went for the challenge, adding ~400 players to an already winning server…Unless you really are trying to work your way back to T1 for a new fight. In that case, I hope you make it back, so there might be more diversity in T1.

Man I honestly feel bad for DB now they they have to deal with Lee and the whole kool aid drinking cult of the noodle. Yea I said it. I remember when EMP was ESOL. I remember when I use to get along with noodles and loved playing with esol. I remember looking forward to having their support on a BL or WvW. Our guild as of late has been going head to head against noodles and Lee with growing tension. Calling our guild server cancer and coming onto a borderland and yelling at everyone to get off so they can get their members in.

Good luck DB, the real reason they transferred is they want to be the big fish in a small pond (no offense to your server). In JQ we treat every guild the same no matter the size or strength, and we pride our self with everyone’s commitment to the community and separate but whole non gated community.

On the other hand we have run into problems with chest thumping from some of their members trying to get their little time in the spotlight and have all their little followers worship the ground they stand on. This in the past has been dealt with on our server with a heavy hammer from the community with the problems we faced with some one similar to this (menaace), or when they tried to proclaim a alliance of guilds who “Run JQ’s WvW”

Emp has my full support and I cant wait to wipe and collect those little badges off RE, that is if you can ever get to tier 1. DB good luck that whole new guild is gonna give you guys some fun drama ill miss it

back during release on some BL’s on JQ there would be a 4-6 hour que per map. yea it was not fun.

Now there is hardly ever over an hour que at all even for eb. Ive been on JQ since release and saw EMP rise from ashes as the grew to where they are today. They have some good members and look forward to fighting them in the future.

Oh man FIRE leaving is the best thing that has happened to JQ since Mennace quit. Nothing good is left of that guild since the original members left and Agress quit.

I really love arena net as a company but this crap with customer support is not holding up to the awesomeness that the developers and the rest of the team’s vibe is.

Also I would like to add this is a pretty awesome member of the Jade quarry family and it is sad to see him wrongfully banned for us as a guild helping our members out by sending them gold. We play mmos to have fun with others, seemed helping others also gets them wrongfully punished.

What I got out of it was that the post in question is pretty minor and not worth getting your knickers in a knot over.

They are more in turn I believe trying to clear their guilds name. And wanting to know where this talk of them calling wm is a “dog” and trying to clear things up that their guild does not condone this and wants to clear it up before more stuff happens.

I have to say I enjoyed that video Quite a bit Im a prime time/late night commander on JQ and for about 2-3 weeks straight we faced you guys with our group and most of FIRE. I have to say your guild has been the most memorable guild I have fought against and had the most fun fighting against in WvW since beta.

I still have nightmares about the hammer Charrs leading the group of sbi trying to take our keeps I hope you guys enjoy darkfall and come back to play against us some times as it was quite fun fighting you.

I would like to congratulate SBI on an amazing bay defense. as you may have known we punched though the north gate (JQ) with 2 golems to allow blackgate to try to take bay at the same time as us. When this happened you guys held it for a good 2-3 hours inside the inner keeps against both servers and it made for a hell of fun fight inside even if we couldnt take it. I frapsed a good bit of the siege and will be posting it up soon. That was one hell of a defense guys and was a ton of fun to fight in there

So I have been playing wvw for a while now almost every time I log into gw2, and ever since the first beta weekend. Me and a few guild mates were kicking around some ideas on how to make the borderlands feel less bland/the same for each one of them, and improve on one of the things the borderlands lacks which is open field battles.

What we thought might be an awesome addition to the borderlands is instead of the huge lake in the center (a big waste of space imo hardly any action happens there compared to the rest of the map) we could instead have a huge open field/Forrest/desert depending on which color borderland you are in. You could also maybe have little small camps/forts that you can capture for points similar to the guards. I love singeing strongholds but would also love to see big open field battles in this game also and currently with the lake in the center it causes this not to happen.

What other ideas might you guys have that would help promote open field fights in wvw?

This post is nothing more than a single person whining and complaining about a rather mundane point.

JQ recruited Xfers a few weeks ago. CD decided to move the core WvW guild population to JQ to “even things out.” After that, JQ started climbing up the ladder with a now more robust off hours crew.

JQ became such a threat, that upon the folding of TA, a decently sized chunk of old Henge players moved to JQ in an effort to continue the winning bids. Sure enough, now that JQ is fat and bloated, JQ is complaining over their queue.

I am sorry JQ, you may not have your every whim responded to and answered by ANet or any others. You asked for what you now have, and as such it should come as no surprise. If you dislike it, please consider transferring to another server. But please do not blame ANet for this inevitable result.

Lastly, I find it funny you state you’re number 1 yet this fact occurred on the heels of CD moving their core guilds to your server. Ungrateful much?

Im sorry what? We stomped CD when we were paired against you guys in tier 2 and we put you in your place. We have never called out for help in off hours as we had the guilds to field that time it was more of us wanting to bring them into wvw a lot more than they have been.

This is our beta core community that we built up since the beta weekends and beyond falling apart because of the kitten free transfers and que times. Most of the guys i saw in wvw before we left I have never even seen before on the server/refuse to work with our commanders or inside our ts3 channel. The community there will soon break apart completely on there as it is already starting to happen.

:l I know how you feel. Our guild is currently transferring off JQ also do to que times and the influx of all the guys pushing our guild out of the que.

I was Veleana (thief of KL)/Velkeri (guardian of KL)/Saskia on the forums. We didnt want to leave but we knew it was time after a que time where we cant even field our small 15-20 man guild into any borderland period.

Wvw wont be the same with out playing with you guys in our servers ts3. The free transfers are killing JQ and it will eventually splinter off most of the jadequarry.com community we built up since beta. It is sad to see so many of the starting guilds transfer off from JQ after all the hours and hard work they put into building a great wvw community. I do hope to see you guys out on the battlefield again some day though, its a kitten shame it came to this it really is.

Wow. hahah this thread. As a original member of JQ since beta I can say im not surprised by this happening. We might throw the match next week just to get these guys off our server. Its kinda sad that people jump ship so early but if the ques do get really bad a lot of us that made JQ what it is are talking about transferring off the server to a lower pop one so we can stay together and not have all these guys clogging up the ques.

I hope the servers do stay close at the top. Even being from jade quarry I dont want to win them all (well maybe just 99.99%) as it would get stale and a little boring.

But tbh we are pretty strong though the week also this was the score the day of reset. When the 2 weeks set in I think you will see a lot closers match ups and servers catching up big time that way.

I know it is not all of ET nor ET’s fault for doing this. But to have all 3 of our orbs being exploited at the SAME time this is not by one guys doing alone it has to be a group. He could have just took his guild tag down so if he got caught it would not smear his guilds name.

Can’t see player names but if you target, right-click, report: it gives you their account Id which is why we know it is “lambshanks.1430”.

Its lambshanks.1340, lambshanks.1430 has no player found. and yea we had everyone in out battle group report this guy I do hope arena net is able to fix this problem soon as it is getting a little out of hand.

I think the most simple fix would be to have the orb alter invon until the keep is captured. Also I was the one that screen shot the guy on the JQ green borderland.

I got there right when he was running out and as you can see none of the walls or gates were down it was just him. He was able to make the orb disappear after i died trying to get the orb back in side after he dropped it. This seriously makes me so mad that we worked so hard to defend this keep all night only to have it exploited by this guy.
