Im not just talking about leaderboards, but more specifically that little number on the bottom left of your screen.

I was wondering if Anet had any plans to reward players based on this number past 80…maybe when one reaches 200 they could get an uber cool flashy glorious finisher or a neat pvp title or something. Just a thought

About server transfer

Hello all,

Its not an all important question, but I was wanting to ask,

I transferred to EU from the NA servers, and quickly realized that it was a big mistake. 250 ping on average makes for a sluggish at best experience….

It says its 1 day remaining, and it has said that since yesterday….does anyone know if the ability to transfer rest at a certain time, or is it exactly on the hour of 7 days past you are able to make the transfer?

Completely what the OP said. I have over 12k matches overall over the span of this games life time. The difference between a PvEer (not saying all of them, but ALOT of them ) who knows nothing about rez times, thoughtful rotations, holding a point ect…. and a PvPer who has learned these things through time, are huge. Factor in both have a 50% win ratio and are justifiably teamed together, its madness and frankly quite frustrating. Countless times these “new to the pvp scene” kids literally cap a point and run off it cause they are itching to battle is throwing games in a horrible direction. At the VERY LEAST, I hope A-net gives a simple rotation tutorial or something to help those understand the game better, If not changing the placement algorithm to factor in Total games played.

Warrior, Elementalist, and Mez. The war was inspired by the black knights of dark souls, and the mez I tried a gw1 inspired theme.

Liewec,

Yeah I can agree that it can be hard to find something fresh for the eyes. For me the lack of light pants is mildly frustrating. I really like your engi! Great colors and I have used that helm as well…highly underrated

The art of a fantastic dye job or a set of well fitting shoulders to complete a look is part of the fun for me in this game. There are so many options for creating a unique piece of art, shown for all the world to see. A good armor combo can blend seamlessly with color and weapon choice, while opposing colors can create contrast and interest. . I see that some take some time to brush carefully here in this virtual world, so I thought I would share a few of mine, and welcome those who think they have created something interesting to share as well. A little vanity never hurt anyone…right? ;p

Update the Dragon Finisher

in PvP

I have often wished that the first round of r 80’s ( those that became r 80 when the april 15th patch went live ) would get a separate finisher ( maybe a reskin of the dragon finisher ) as the grind to 55 or above was alot more than what the newer dragons have had to go through. It is of course a non-necessary notion, but It would be kinda nice and appreciated none the less.

getting to 55 then and 80 now were the exact same?

Well i believe it was if you were rank 55 the old way you got bumped up to 80…im not sure if they are the same number of points respectively.

In my observations, I do think many have a point about this cele meta. Celestial gives a nice spread of overall stats, along with the classes that can stack might and benefit from condition/power and most importantly health over time effects, like virtue of resolve, backpack regen, and water attunement…on top of regen. This creates builds that are much more powerful and effective overall with very little in the way of drawbacks.

Boon strip is effective against these classes with cele builds, but the overwhelming amount or players playing it creates little build diversity and since not everyone is keen on running a condi boon strip necro ( the most effective boon stripper in the game ), the imbalance is becoming obvious more and more.

I think a stat changeup on celestial ( you know, how it was before it got buffed ) would help, as limiting the might stacking on those professions would hinder their ability for build diversity. Change the amulet itself to be effective….

Sure, its nice to win…and Im sure those who have won money from using these amulets would get more than a little kittened….but if this game is indeed for everyone, then the issue of celestial should be addressed. Celestial can still be effective, but the stat bonuses need to be worked on to be more in line to allow other builds to shine based on mechanical ability and awareness.

Cele is training wheels, and we now have great mechanically sound players abusing training wheels to win.

I agree with what many are saying. I played a good amount of pvp in GW1 and the only reason I EVER pve’d was because I wanted the skin. So when I found out that GW2 had this nifty system that allowed me to negate the horrendous brain-numbing grinding that was required to have good looking armor or skills I was relieved. What is the point of introducing this NOW when it has been an open book all this time? Instead of putting locks on things why doesn’t anet try to EXPAND on game modes….this is going in the opposite direction…instead of expansion its like being caged. If there is any implementation of grind to pvp in order to have options it really is a sad day for this game.

In short anet….stop putting limits on this games pvp when it is already hugely limited BY ONE GAME MODE. If your idea of progressing the pvp scene is to limit it, I would hope you would take a step back and think about what you are doing.

We want YOU. Tpvp

Hello all.
My friend and I are a few guys who simply like to PvP. We have been part of the sPvP scene since launch and have done tournaments with a variety of people, both together and separate. What we have realized through much of this is that the “high ranking” and “better” people take a lot of the fun out of the game through bad attitudes and egocentric behavior.

My friend and I are respectable people, who also show respect to others. I cannot count the times I have joined so called “leet” groups only to be let down with the lack of general respect and communication that makes a social game like this one fun. I know many of these people view the game as life or death, but the lack of just general niceness is pretty sad. Instead of talking with a clear focus after a match about what the team could do better, it seems yelling/bad attitudes or just general blame game tactics are favored. This PvP scene saddens me because it honestly could be so much better. Im not saying that all groups/guilds behave in such manor. However, a large majority do.

That being said, my friend and I are ranked in the high 40’kittenting 50 soon, and we have tournied quite a bit in the past. We understand map tactics, and often talk about strategies and team comps and what not. We are mechanically sound in playing the game, and can keep up with most. What we have is good camaraderie; we are actually friends and respect each other’s opinion. We take constructive criticism well and are always willing to learn more and grow.

We are looking for a few good people to play this game with, who have knowledge about the tournament scene and actually have a brain. Someone who is generally a good person who respects others….it’s honestly not a hard thing to grasp but as the saying goes “you cant fix what you didn’t break”. I understand personalities clash, people have differing opinions, but at the end of the day if you can find people to play with that bring you up and allow you to grow as opposed to “you suck brah your off the team” or “we didn’t win the first game I’m out” kind of mentality, then the game becomes something more than just winning; It becomes a good time, and you enjoy it much more. Its worth playing with friends who respect each other.

We have lives, so we are looking for other casual good players who want to tourney with some seriousness and remain competitive, while enjoying each other’s company and learning from each other. Our time to play is 9-10ish to 1:30-2am-ish EST.
Our general criteria is as follows:

-A rank of around 40 or more
-A good player who understands the game as well as Tourney logic and such
-A desire to work at perfection, rather than expect it at the beginning (big one)
-A nice personality/general good human being.
-One who knows their professions role in tournament gameplay
-Someone who contributes to the team with fresh and interesting tactics

Our Thief spot for tournies is taken by my friend luxe, I play all the classes so I can fit wherever. We are looking for a solid 3 to round out a tourney group, with the possibility of more depending on what this post does. If you want a competitive tourney experience with people who actually will listen to you and hear you out, as well as general good people who like to have fun, joke around, but never are disrespectful, then send me a message! Looking forward to hearing from you.
Feel free to message us in the game @ Majestic.5790 or Veritas.3952 . I promise we don’t bite!
