Yes, D/P is deadly. But D/P thieves must come to melee range to deal damage. So they can be beaten with any class (with more or less skill and luck), especially if Steal is evaded. Vault spammer almost never comes to melee range, because catching him between evades (1/4 sec frame as stated above) is extreamly hard for most classes.

And I don’t think animation of Bound and Vault is very different. I know about “Glows Bright Blue”. But in 3/4 sec of this glow, I need to see it, decide to evade and press evade. This requires extreamly high reflexes (don’t forget 80-100ms ping time).

vault “jump” is higher than bound and staff is more visible and maybe its hard to hit mthiev who is in this evade almost nonstop while spamming it but trust me..as I wrote it before and some people also this is good just for noobs, newbies…any better player who is playing in pvp more than week will just avoid 90% of those hits because this is so slow and attack is very visible when it incoming

vault cas time to 1.5 sec…and interruptable lol it have evade frame for 1/2 with 3/4 sec cast timefor now….as for change you proposed then need to double damage because of doubled cast time and to this evade frame also increase to atleast 1 second.

and now about just this skill..this isnt that fast…this is very good just against noob players, against just a bit experienced players its hard to hit themw ith just vault trust me, I was playing ith thief staff on beggining against other unexperienced players and it was hittin really hard but later with more exp I went to some ranked arenas and it was so hard for me to hit someone with it and much harder to kill especially other thieves because of their speed lol

Thief stands little chance against Condi Berserker. I just time Headbutt right as Thief dodge is on the descent, so that it hits once Thief lands. GG for Thief.

so good to know this is just another hardcounter to thiev and at all I have no problem to hardcounter classes as we have at all so much classes so need to have counters

and yeah..once I will get hit by warrior with this one skill with few stuns in row and Im just kittened xD

You are right, those aren’t warriors. They are Daredevil Thieves, which is most OP spec in game. They can even glide while stealing. It’s stupid. Go to Thief forums to complain OP, they deserve it.

do I complained about nerf or something? I just complained about no logic in this klass with those skill…at all I wont complain about nerf it, just about no logic because with those skill there is no anything which will have minimum to be warrior lol

and thiev daredevil is very good just thanks to mobility..without this it will be like mesmer without clones, guardian without block or ranger without pet etc but more op are just brainded condi thieves than normal thiev daredevils on power

just straight…I have seen not only once “warriors” on pvp which was placing walls of fire on ground, on creating big earth shields? or something and with it using bow like ranger and blocking and reflecting many times like gaurdians.

so quest…wtf is this because this isnt warrior, this is combined elementalist with ranger and with guard…3 in 1 so what the hell is this then?

The problem is that DoTs in games like this are meant to be a ticking clock, not a sledge-hammer. “Condi burst” shouldn’t be a thing, ever.

The entire logic behind DoT’s is that they take a while to kill the opponent, but unless the opponent has a way of cleansing or ignoring that DoT damage, it is guaranteed damage. There’s no dodging it, no kiting it, if the spell hits, that’s damage that will seem insignificant at first, but devastating later on.

Power should be a blitzkrieg, Condis should be attrition, but with the current implementation they’re both blitzkriegs and that gives Condis a significant advantage.

As is, its a badly implemented mechanic defended only by the people who stand to gain something from its current implementation.

This is because cleanse is so prevalent. I can literally spam condi all day at an auramancer ele or DH and watch them shrug it off almost instantly.

DOT doesn’t work because of the excessive,( and sometimes passive,) cleanse and heal So, condi burst is the way to go. Yes, there’s a lot of condi.. but there’s even more cleanse.

As another poster noted, power kills a lot faster.

I dont see this cleans to be that prevalent as conti. I playing with my friend necro condi on pvp and he almost never hhave problem with cleanse his condi while I as thiev…cuz…at all I have nothing to condi necr or guard….they arnt thet very hard to kill and their dots arnt that fask like just brainded condi thiev….just spam condi with evade at once for 15 secs or more you are unable to hit this kitten while he will apply dots on you which will kill you in just 2-3 seconds if you dont evade and clean most of them and to compare power thiev….I have never seen power thiev to burst me in minimum 5 seconds without also losing atleast hafl of his health while thise coni thiev cancer wont get almost any if not any hit from me while just applying many dots in just moment and then 2k+ ticks pers second and ggwp

It’s like most CC’s, it can be blocked with stability or stunbroken.

but in skill tooltip its “unblockable” so how it can be blocked for 1st? as stunbroke I know you can but problem I have with it it just dont work always…as I wroted it sometimes dont work on classes with many block or it never work or engi or mesmer (no I dont hitting clones, it dont work on orginal mesmer) for me

is it working properly? in toltip it is unblockable to turn foes into stone…but for me for every enginer or mesmer this is never working and ofc with some blockcing warriors or guards this also dont working…this dont turn them into stone so what is the point of this skill?

and no, they arnt invulnerable etc in this time when I using this…it still or blocked or just nothing happens against engi or memser

One plat said they use unranked to warm up. I’m skeptical, that giving the smack down on plebs is any sort of warm up :|

Even if it were a case of warm up there should be a better way then just steam rolling through players. Making the game even less accessible to the general player base.

Given that 80% of games I’ve experienced are 100/200 – 500 blowouts. (Having being on both sides, but mostly the losing end) This goes beyond warm ups, even at twilight hours.

yeah about this their warm up…this is just lazy saying for them…if they “warm up” on unranked arenase in shortcut "rekt"ing noob players then those begginers, weak players how then can play with more fun while they will get 1 kill once per 10 deaths etc? how about those low level players who want to have more fun by playing in this game but instead of nice game they gets mostly rekt by high lvl players who jsut want to “warm up” destroying fun from low lvl players

There were a web site that shows pvp stadistics and one of them were blue/red team winratio and last time i saw it (like 1 year ago) blue team were winning by 1%

and if you can see this 1 weird blue win on up was almost draw with reds, any other thoughts?

Im not sure but red teams at all are arranged to be 90% win teams, at least for me :v

it will be nice if they will remove this 1shot mechanic which is most annyoing in every game because of no counter to this and then buff rifle to be viable in pve to dps and maybe some to normal pvp instead of coward ganking behind teamates
