I’m well aware that there is an expansion, and that the expansion has raids. I don’t know if Anet is still trying to get the word out or what, but I don’t need to be reminded of gameplay that I don’t even access to.
The announcement for a raid that I can’t take part in isn’t doing me any favors, so I’d like it removed. It never should have been put there in the first place.
That actually is a really interesting idea. The level requirements would basically guarantee that no one would get a dramatic increase over anyone else, but it would be a great grind for people who want to compete with stats. Good idea.
Despite what all the arenanet apologists have been saying, the real reason there’s no trade system is to better force players to use the tp, so anet can take their 15 percent cut, draining gold out of the system and encouraging players to spend real money on gems.
Aand thats fine because it helps keep the game subscription free, but lets dont kid ourselves a out it being because of inflation, which never seems to be a concern when discussing anet’s selling gems for real money.
Well, Arena Net. This seems relevant again. I mean I know this latest catastrophe is still pretty fresh, and you still have time to recover, but be sure to just completely stonewall everyone and just hope the problem will go away like you have in the past. We remember kitten like this.
Still waiting on an answer to this question just like how I’ll be waiting for a reasonable option on the expansion before I pay for it. We’ll see if you can do better this time.
If they gave you a free character slot, you’d be less likely to buy the ultimate version which comes with HALFPRICEGEMSOMG.
It’s not so much “zerk hate” as it is a healthy skepticism. I mean, why would Anet make all the others available if zerker is as good as people say it is? That and a lot of gamers seem to have a very strong herd mentality: “everyone in my guild runs build x, therefore I run build x, and if you don’t run build x you’re dumb and hate America”.
That said, zerker may very well be the best thing in PvE. I’m just not sure it’s for me; my reflexes are bad.
Maybe the extra items could be mailed to you, sent from “that guy you killed”.
Clicking on the bags helps tremendously fellas. It was just a function that I’d never noticed and never used.
As to what Rognik said on no.2, all I’ve seen is a toggle to arrange items in ascending or descending order. I haven’t seen anything to change displayed price. Thanks for the help.
When you select the item you want, a new window will pop up. This will mostly apply to selling items as I rarely buy them, but it functions pretty close. The pop-up window will have a slider for how many of the item you want to sell, the price per unit you will sell it at, and the two windows below: one for buy orders and one for listed items. For selling, buy orders are on the left, with the highest buy order at the top; on the other side, the lowest listing price is at the top and increases down the list. That 2nd window is what I’m talking about.
If you want to know the lowest selling price is, but don’t want to accidentally list it on the market (for whatever reason), it should be listed in the main window when you seek to buy that item. Could be wrong here, though.
Ah, I see what you’re saying now. But what I meant was we shouldn’t have to click on the item to see what we can sell it for.
When you enter the TP, and click “sell items” at the top, everything in your inventory will be displayed with a price, although some will have nothing. The price that is displayed is the highest buying order. I’d like to be able to change that to the lowest selling price. Hopefully, I explained that ok.

Except that way back during the Battle for LA aftermath, a dev (I forget who) did actually tell us that the merchants for the Heirlooms and belongings would be disappearing at the conclusion of the Living Story and to use them all now while we still could.
There was also another dev who told us to “hang onto” the Blade Shards, because there would be additional uses for them. (That additional use turned out to be a rather lackluster merchant, but they were technically right.)
So odds are quite likely that Heirlooms and Belongings have no further use. That said, I do think that it wouldn’t do any harm to have a single merchant, similar to Sonders the Seller, continue to sit in LA and continue to accept these tokens.
THREAD NECRO FOR THE WIN. I think your answer is here by the way.

I think its safe to say they arent coming back.
Those were just the original announcements. Part of the confusion back then was that they also said blade shards would not be tradeable after the event either, and yet, due to player demand, Anet added a merchant for blade shards. In the time between, how many stacks of blade shards do you imagine were trashed?
That brings us back around to the entire point for this thread. I and some other people are hanging onto them, stubbornly, until Anet takes two f***ing minutes to reply.
All 4 of these complaints deal with selling items from the inventory in the trading post:
1: All the items are displayed in one long list. Items used to be displayed in multiple pages. I could check them a page at a time, keeping up with my progress. With my sometimes 80 items displayed in the trading post (I have one invisible bag), it becomes extremely difficult to keep track of where I am when checking the selling prices, because
2: The prices displayed in that panel are set at “highest buying price” and cannot be changed to “lowest selling price”, which is the price I use when deciding to sell, salvage or merch.
3: When I sell an item, if it is low enough on the displayed list, the scroller on the side moves on its own to a random spot, needlessly complicating this entire process, making me lose progress.
4: The items in this list are displayed out of order: I always keeps rares and exotics in the bottom of my inventory, with greens, blues, and whites at the top. Without fail, one of those rarities is displayed in the bottom of the list.
Oh, did you think I forgot, Anet? I am still waiting. The items are still sitting in my inventory, and I will keep asking until GW3 comes out, I suppose. I find it disrespectful to ignore this issue, when a simple answer is all I, and some others, are asking for.
The thing that bothers me is that it would take someone 5 minutes to find out and answer this question. You could be right in that the two situations don’t quite parallel, but I just want to know. And we can see from the forum that Anet people regularly post on this forum. I don’t plan to flame or complain if I get an answer, and I hope others don’t either. I JUST WANT AN ANSWER. That’s correct; I’m caps lock frustrated.
Initially, Anet said blade shards weren’t tradeable, along with found heirlooms and belongings. Then they doubled back and added the merchant, only adding to the suspicion that merchants could be added for these other items at a later date. This is part of the reason for why we hang on to them. All Anet has to do is say yes or no, and all the confusion will be cleared up. I appreciate the comments keeping this on the front page.
To the OP, I’m not sure why you would let other players control what you do. If they were verbally abusing you, screenshot it and report them, but they don’t have to help you do anything. “people were mean to me” So? The whole game is set up so that it’s very hard to grief people. No one can kill you, and no one can steal your loot. You couldn’t find anyone to help you with the event? There are several things in game that require more than one person. Get over yourself.
Oh, ok. I forgot that clearing an event with a handful of people when it’s scaled to about 60 (none of whom are helping) is the easiest thing in the world.
Sure, no one has to help you, but the point of this thread is that people are actively barring event completion. Their aim is for the event to fail, which isn’t hard for them to do when they all leave the cap zone and let the npcs die. Have you even seen this farm strategy in person?
His post was his complaining that he’d spent gems to do the story, a story that he wasn’t able to do because “farmers harassed me.” Was he even aware of the event scaling because of the other people? He didn’t mention it. My point is that he can choose to be a whiner/victim, or he can play the game he wants to play. i.e. why didn’t he make a thread like “I’m looking for help from other people trying to complete storyline at coiled watch” ? God knows I love trolling, and he or anyone else that needs help with this particular event, look me up in game, PLEASE. Nothing would make me happier than ruining some people’s farm
But don’t make a sarcastic “thanks for nothing Anet” thread because people were mean to you…
By the way, that offer for help is sincere. Let’s do it.

I’m looking for a definitive answer from Anet on whether, like blade shards, there will be a trader/merchant or any other use for found belongings and found heirlooms.
I’m not complaining about how it was or wasn’t announced that the traders would be taken out, I’m not complaining that the items need to tradeable, I’m not even asking that Anet add some way to use these items.
I am simply, and very specifically, asking if there will ever be any future use for these items. Thanks.
Never play one game just so you can look cool in a different one. Play GW1 because you enjoy it. I have GWAMM and 50/50, and I can say without hesitation that it was not worth it.
Most of the armor seems to be based around completely covering up the crotch/butt section of the bodies i.e. light armor is nothing but huge flowing dresses or coat tails. Even most heavy armor sets involve some kind of skirt. There must be something weird going on with that area of the character models. I’d kill for the GW1 clothing my mesmer had.
When will the Blade Shard merchant appear?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

the fact that there are so many people who didn’t know the traders would be taken out of the game is evidence that the information was not released effectively. The ONLY reason I’m on the forum now, the first time since a week after the game launched, is because it came up in my google searches looking to see if we would be able to use the found belongings and heirlooms at a future date.
To add insult, the camps where the traders used to be are still there for no reason…where’s the logic in that?
Posting information on a forum that so many players don’t use isn’t working, not to mention not necessary when information can be released in game…
