Similar problem with elementalist dagger fire 3. After using it, trying to dodge backwards while swapping to earth is near impossible.
Make them similar to a warriors banner. Instead of buffing the person who’s holding it, let the stat boost apply to everyone in a radius. Of course the weapon should disappear after it’s dropped to prevent fgs 4 and ice bow 4 spam.
The ground targeting circle for the elementalist staff air skill 5, static field, is broken. The green radius it shows without the trait blasting staff is how large it should be with blasting staff on. If you have blasting staff on, it shows the smaller radius that it should be without blasting staff.
My guess is you missed the one in W2Z1 before the last checkpoint. The log going down the waterfall and the pot shop behind the wall.
I skip the mini checkpoint. Wait right at the entrance of the first blowing wall. When it’s animation is about 3/4 way through, hold W and don’t stop until you reach the point where you can safely walk across to the other side (towards the edge of the cliff). Have to do this more than once most likely because barrels will blow up. Then it’s a matter of evading the last winds and the cloud. I highly recommend dodge roll jumping to evade the cloud attacks and the spikes surrounding the corner. Right after that point, you’ll get another balloon for a mini checkpoint, so missing this one doesn’t hurt you at all.

I got stuck in the log in tribulation mode. :/
Can we get one? I got stuck in the terrain unable to escape in tribulation mode. Forced to leave instance and restart from the beginning. Happened twice so far.
The new build fixed the shop in World 1 Zone 2. Just got it.
I’ve tried running into the last shop repeatedly ~30-40 times, no luck.

All the shops in zone 3 work fine. The shop in zone 2 is bugged. I’m at 10/11 for shops for tribulation.
I just checked out the hidden room underneath the floor with the roots. Did not count for credit and you die if you try to walk on the floor of the room.
Oh, thanks. I thought that was just a hidden room and not a shop. Will check it out now and update if it credits.
Stuck at 10/11. 2 Shops for Zone 1, 2 for Zone 2, 6 for Zone 3. 3rd shop in zone 2 just spikes me and doesn’t count as a shop. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Instead of PvP items being exotic, why not make them common? Salvaging takes ages because of the confirmation box that appears when you salvage an exotic item. Making them common or turning off the confirmation box would save a lot of time.
Double click it to convert it to PvE first.
I’m not sure if this would be the correct forum to post this in, but I have the Winter’s Dagger and Shield skin that I got a while back and it turns out they’re able to be listed on the tp now. Can anyone tell me a reasonable price for these skins?
Apparently the screen goes dark and you can’t see anything. This is easily remedied if you turn your settings on best performance.
Took a while, but I finally did it after many, many hours.
Now do it on a necromancer.
I tried. I failed. 15 times on my necro before I switched to my ele. Used my necro to reach her though.
Light up the darkness was the one that I got last. Took me forever.
Tips: Be patient. Take breaks often so you don’t get too frustrated. The clones, aoe, and light fields always spawn in the same spot. After the 30th try, you just know where the next place you have to stand will be. I highly recommend a condition build because you can stick on your attack and focus on being defensive until you have to reapply your conditions.

Yes, elementalists can make life easier in the harpy fractal for all of 6 seconds that the swirling winds last. About the fire auto attacking with the staff, it’s the only viable skill with decent dps that can be done. Sure you can F1 2 3 5 F2 2 4 F3 2 F4 2 to deal more damage than an autoattack fire ball except for the fact that, it takes ~5 seconds to cast that sequence and you’ll be stuck in earth autoattacking for 4 more seconds until you can switch back to fire. Also, in the harpy fractal, if they are underneath the platform, Air 1 2 and Earth 1 won’t even hit the harpy because they’ll be obstructed leaving the small aoe from fireball and the skills from fire staff the most viable damage output while underneath a harpy for staff. Yes the elementalist could switch and spam dragon’s tooth with a scepter, but I’m giving you the reason why they’re in fire if they only have a staff.
I would love it if it was the rez glyph. Then it would be instant cast and not useless.
I prefer it how it is. Blinding a warrior when he’s winding up for killshot with a rifle is extremely satisfying.
Tips:
There are many skills you can use while channeling another. Find out what they are; these skills are usually the ones that you can also cast while stunned and dodge rolling.
Evasive arcana Earth element dodge roll is a blast finisher.
Eruption (Staff Earth 2) is a blast finisher that you should cast before laying down a combo field. If you lay down the combo field first, it usually runs out before eruption pops.
Unless you are playing a fire staff zerker or lightning hammer water zerker build, you should be switching attunements constantly. 20+ in Arcana HIGHLY recommended.
Do not pvp solo with a staff. Just don’t.
Fiery Greatsword is one of the best escape skills in the game. 3 and 4 travel ~2000 (whatever the units of distance are called) on a 5 second cd (turn off autotarget for 4 to work).
The fire elemental elite has a stupidily strong burst, can do half of a zerker thief’s hp in one swoop.
Don’t hate on D/F especially earth focus. Obsidian flesh is extremely strong and magnetic wave is a blast finisher that reflects projectiles, cripples, and cleanses 3 conditions.
Focus air 4 makes stomping a warrior a joke.
Obsidian flesh is an unstoppable stomp.
D/D isn’t the only viable style out there for pvp.
In the middle of a dodge roll you can change attunements to trigger the evasive arcana effect of a different element.
Currently focus fire 4 is broken because of after cast readjustments.
Ranger’s have an aoe elite entangle. You might be thinking of the druid spirit which can do the same, minus the bleed from roots.
Read the title again, it says “while in combat vs. Lupi.”
And yes, you can still res people who are dead (this will be difficult so the better option is to just not die).
So I found an effective way to do this.
Step 1: Get an elementalist friend.
Step 2: Have the elementalist summon a fire axe.
Step 3: You pick up the fire axe.
Step 4: Make sure the elementalist is using a scepter and is attuned to earth. Have him drop the axe now.
Step 5: You use skill #4 with the axe to summon a ring of fire (Make sure the monster is outside the ring)
Step 6: Have the elementalist autoattack the monster to death with earth 1 through the ring of fire to the monster.
That worked out pretty well for me and my group, if you have projectile finishers you don’t have to use the flame axe, just let the ele summon the fire ring and you shoot through it. Sometimes this doesn’t register, but it has a lot higher chance than other combo fields that I have tried.
Yes I agree that the design is flawed and I personally prefer to do my dailies solo, but I’m not defending Anet, I’m just telling you guys of a way that worked for me.
There are some professions out there with some pretty terrible/situational elite skills. Maybe make it possible to stick a normal utility skill in the elite slot, but not an elite skill in a normal slot?
