Hi, I just wanted to add my two cents here. The significance of the “unique” aspect of ascended gear is not commonly known information: it is not explained by hovering over the items, it has not been explained in any detail by ANet, and it was never directly discussed with players either via in-game or out-of-game mail. I myself just wasted 35 laurels (five weeks worth of daily farming) for the purpose of acquiring two of the same rings; this is because I wanted two defensive infusion slots, and it seems unfair to penalize players for wanting to play the game a certain way. It is also unfair to implement certain gear restrictions on players without making this information widely known. I do not understand why we cannot equip two of the same item, and I really think the “unique restriction” should be lifted. ASAP.

If you upgrade one of the rings to the Infused version, then you can wear them both since technically they are not the same anymore. Each ring has two version, Infused and Regular. Remember, you are upgrading the ring to have an inherent +5 agony resistance, you are not infusing it with a stat infusion. But you will need 5 vials, 3 globes, and 1 shard to upgrade the ring to Infused status.

Either way, BG sure has received a beating this week. I can only hope those few bad eggs in JQ’s LA can learn to be as gracious in victory as JQ has been for all of these weeks!

Remember when JQ beat SOS after christmas? Pepperidge farm remembers. That was some real display of sportsmanship.

And the mass exodus of SoS guilds to BG only after two consecutive losses is a display of real sportsmanship? Unfortunately this is a game and sportsmanship is an afterthought since the anonymity of the internet pretty much allow you to do or post whatever you want without real consequences and repercussions.

Blackgate got sabotaged harder but we didn’t say anything in the forums about it. Yeah nice job to SoR for beating Blackgates 13-0 streak against them, let’s see if they can do it 12 more times!

Can’t be sabotaged when you lose your keeps and the sieges get destroyed, just saying. Winning ONCE does not prove anything either.

Oh we lost our keeps plenty of times because of sabatoging. I even remember when we let SoR take our T2 Bay so they can kill all the flame rams that a spy built in their. The only difference between JQ and BG from last weeks match is that Blackgate didn’t want to say anything about it on the forums since any excuse for losing is a form of poor sportsmanship. Especially in the first 4 days of last week when we were down by 20k, the last thing we wanted was to make excuses. Blackgate rises above, we keep calm and conquer.

So there are numerous posts of JQ&SoR Vs BG, yet there are little to no pics or mention of the sabotage. I am surprised that the BG forum warriors hadn’t bought it once this whole time since they complain about insufficient 2v1s, but not a siege sabatage.

This is not PvP. The secret of success in battle lies often not so much in the use of one’s own strength but in the exploitation of the other side’s weaknesses.

More like which side can abuse culling, but hopefully this will change come the patch. Save the chest trumping for the when the patch comes out imo.

I totally understand SoR’s position this week, just head hunting to try to stay in Tier 1, even though they don’t belong here, as their score keeps showing they just don’t have the coverage to compete. I would think that if they where really double teaming BG because a few guilds on our server ran their mouth, that they would negotiate a place in second. Unfortunately not the case, so who knows what is really happening behind the scenes. But there you go, SoR 0 ppt, 11pm server time.

I read all the bad talk about BeastGate, and I am not going to respond to it, I just want to point out that we took on the #1 server in north america, we are fighting off their pet dogs at the same time and we still hold a strong second position in Tier 1, good job to everybody on BG that is spending so many hours every day in WvW to make the difference, and to all of our commanders out there, and all of our amazing WvW guilds that fight regardless of what anybody says.

Looks like JQQueue got the scare of their life after last weeks game and have decided that they can’t chill out this weekend and let BG have a lead going in to the week. Laughable that they are still saying the populations are similar. I wish ANet would release some info on world populations.
Also amusing that the same names pop up constantly with the same bile and hate spilling out of their mouths (Raven, Profit et al). I’m wondering how you derive such enjoyment of out being kittenhats?

Scared? Nah, we got more motivated to WvW to silent some troll (hiding a second account) spamming JQ’s Lion Arch about how bad JQ was since BG was leading. We are happy now that troll is not polluting our Lion Arch chat anymore =)

Well it kind of sucks that one one will ever be able to dethrone JQ until people get bored and inevitable quit. Some of those guilds that transferred to JQ should have dispersed to SoR, SoS, and BG for much more even match ups. The way this is going we will just have servers fighting for second place like SOS is doing right now. Anyway the weekend match up was awesome and I am looking forward to more of those in the future.

Why are people calling JQ’s recuitment unfair? Every server had the chance and ample warning to recruit people and guilds before transfers became paid. In fact, I saw numerous server recruitment posts from almost every server days before the big patch. Each server was responsible for their own recruitment of transfers. There is no Hogwarts Sorting Hat in this game.

Oops, my bad. Didn’t know that Skale Venom could hit 1k – 6k per hit. Oh wait.

Like the Weakness and Vulnerability debuffs from the Skale venom consumable doesn’t turn a fight in your favor either too right? If so, why do I constantly see entire zergs with Skale venoms? Anyways, JQ is used to the weekend EB shenanigans and will continue fighting!

You calling out other people and servers about not showing class? That is rich,I love the hypocrisy in this statement. Some of the SoS posters have enough “negative” karma from their old troll and trakittenalking posts to buy enough obsidian shards to make at least 10 legendaries. Don’t believe me? Clink on his forum name and select “See all messages by ____” to see how truly toxic and two-faced one is. You can’t delete or hide that.

P.S.A. TO TRANSFERS: When deciding a server, research those servers mentioned in those recruitment threads and don’t be afraid/lazy to observe prominment posters too (“See all messages by ____”)! It is a wall of text, I know, but remember, it is the server you will be stuck on. Once transfers become paid, you obviously don’t want to waste money to transfer off a toxic server that you regretted!

It’s not focusing the 3rd place server. To push on SoS, JQ would need BG to have a strong presence on map so that they can force the 2v1 on SoS and force us to lose a part of our territory to one server and hold it against the other.

On the contrary, for SoS to push on JQ, we would require BG to have a strong presence on the server as well to force the 2v1 against JQ and cause them to lose territory to either one.

This is because while JQ and SoS may have enough teams, we can’t just steamroll the other side all by ourselves. It would be a move that requires a ridiculous amount of effort and resources. Since both JQ and SoS know this, we can only go against one enemy which is BG and they unfortunately happen to have the lower coverage and get hit against the 2v1.

To get out of this, BG would need to get players in and hunker down wiping out any SoS and JQ advances in their territory(home corner in EB/north area in BL) consistently until SoS and JQ feel it is a waste of time to push on BG and start to focus each other. Then BG has the freedom to side with any team and push the other one hard, taking territory and increasing their point ticks.

In terms of avoiding engagement, it would make it easier for BG if SoS and JQ were to start fighting each other as it would ease pressure off them and allow them to make the push.

Finally someone who makes sense and hits the nail on the head! If/When BG has a stronger NA presence will be the “game-changer” in the T1 bracket. Just look at reset day this week, the 3 servers were very even on the scoreboard until the BG’s NA presence started dropping. It is like the three legs on a tripod, if one leg is shorter/weaker, the tripod will collapse in that direction. JQ would be more than happy to focus on SoS more, but unfortunately, we can’t outmatch SoS’s zerg presence. To quote a player, “One does not outzerg the SoS zergs”. The same can be said somewhat in reverse.

SOS lost last week. And we were happy to say you deserved it and congratulations.

But all this poor sportsmanship and derogatory comments towards SOS is sickening.

It’s not like we didn’t ANNOUNCE that we were stopping WvW during the holidays.

lol! Congratulations. And I am sick of reading your holier than thou attitude. Obviously you can do no wrong, and obviously everyone goes to your website to read your messages. That makes total sense since you mean less than nothing to me.

Guess what, we all had a holiday. I spent time with the family, did the dinners and parties, yet I was on. I was on for a good amount of time, and I had a blast while I was off work.

Just admit that we beat you and be done. There is no reason to add in stupid stipulations to your pounding.

If you do that I might even come back next Friday and state good job to you on your win.

You have to submit an app for them to admit that we beat em fairly.

Make sure it is at least two weeks in advance to avoid “sudden” holiday breaks.
