Quip Vol 3 has a few issues:
~Shady Hammon isn’t spawning. Waited for over 3 hours and nothing.
~Skritt Trickey item isn’t dropping from Skritt Burglar’s, I’ve killed over 10 (including the SW jp one to no avail)
~Black Powder can’t be bought from Thegren Topjaw in Plains of Ashford (screenshot below).
Bumping this as it’s still bugged as of today 10/30/2015 7:20 am EST.
SS attached depicting the issue.
Also am having trouble getting the Skritt Trickery item (over 10 Skritt Burgulars killed including the SW jp one and counting with no drop).

A guild mate whom I can’t recall told me they still run their T6 events but I forgot what day/time. Does anyone know I’ve been unsuccessful at finding anyone in game that knows this information. I’m in EST thanks…
Hmm, I believe the vast majority of the player base feels the same. I was so psyched to get the patch when I got home. Soon as I tried taking my close friends/guildmates into Toypocaplyse and got the nasty surprise of random PUG activity hot join, my enthusiasm I had for this entire holiday season got smashed. To be honest this had to be the biggest disappointment to date, even worse was it took less than 5 min for my joy to shatter. I more than likely will not bother with the festivities at all this year in GW2.
The holidays are meant to be spent with friends and family, not some random person who can and more than likely will end up giving you grief your not looking to acquire this holiday season. I’ll try my best to look forward to next Wintersday….although I am now making sure I set the bar excessively low. Until then I guess I won’t be on GW2 much, no real point to play it until the next LS2 drops now.
The SW map is dead, I’ve heard the same from other friends etc. At first I didn’t believe it until I hit the map up. It’s so barren compared to it being completely full. I’m not a farmer but I found the chest runs entertaining because they were so fast paced. Having ADD the whole “OMG look a ping to the west!! Now to the North!!” was fun while it lasted.
Now that it’s dead I’ve noticed and heard people say that once they finish off their keys they wouldn’t return to the map. Honestly I agree with them, there is nothing worth my time on this map for me. I’d rather go mindlessly kill things for my slayer achievements.
It’s just sad to see this new content die so quickly, perhaps the farmers were an issue but on every farm map I was on there were always other tags at the other forts. Most maps would get 4/5 on the bosses, guess that wasn’t good enough for some.
The best thing to do is just enter the map during peak hours, then pop open LFG and pray you’ll find a taxi to a more lively map. Gl to all those who still need some achievements but I doubt the maps will ever be as lively as they were pre-nerf.
Not sure if it’s a bug but when I use Elixir U it will drain all my current endurance to 0. I’ve kept my eye on it today when running a multitude of dungeons and it seems to be a random bug when using Elixir U.
I was trying to quit a replay mode I no longer wish to pursue since I was being bugged by the little green arrow (yes I know I can turn the arrows off but that’s irrelevant to this post). As soon as I clicked “Quit This Episode” I got the following error and got booted to character select.
“Network Connection Error: Please check you internet connection and try again (code=1022:5:1:869:101”
I asked fellow guildies on mumble to replicate the bug and they were successful. Every single one got the same error message and booted to the character select screen.
Attached is the bug I got and the ones my friends got when simulating it.
Please fix, k thanx bai.

I was on my key farming toon running towards the Queens Chambers from Minister’s Waypoint. You were in that hallway just past the bank and trading post.
As I ran up to you my eyes were amazed at how beautiful you looked. You were roughly my height, had dirty blonde hair and your masculine features were so highlighted in that hallway. I assumed you were an engineer because of your Zodiac Shield and your pistol. You were all turquoise with black accents and fabulous.
Just when I was about to click you, the proc to enter my friends story popped up. I had mere seconds and sadly I just hit yes, knowing I’d never see you again.
I searched afterwards even put the following in map: “I saw you in the hallway, you were beautiful. I think you were an engineer because of your Zodiac shield and pistol. Wish I could see you again” to which the only reply I got was “weird”.
I rarely see such well done toons, would’ve loved a screen shot
but ya all I can do is this post. You looked great, just needed to let you know.
Still hope to see you again in Divinities Reach one day so I can personally tell you how fantastic you looked.

So yesterday Chaos Gun prices were roughly 744g. Today less than 24hrs later they’re at 1099g. I was told by a fellow guildie a few hour prior that they were nearly at 1.5k.
I’m just flabbergasted by the prices. I mean yes I understand there will always be a demand for them, especially now that legendaries are account bound. But going from 300-400g doubling in price then yet again. It feels more like market manipulation than anything. I’m pretty sure everyone didn’t wake up today and went out to buy a Chaos Gun. I’ve been watching the price waiting for the prices to stabilize after April 15th, sadly it has yet to happen all I see is prices keep rising.
By the time you save up to buy it at that ridiculous price it will triple in price putting it out of reach yet again. Just wondering if this is happening across all the precursors, I’m sure it is but why this ridiculous inflation over such little time span?
Anet should simply make the maximum amount of buy/sell precursor/legendaries at 1.
This way the market player can only have one offer of each out. So they can only sell 1 at any time and buy 1 at any given time. They won’t be able to mass buy/sell precursors & legendaries therefore reducing the market manipulation.
This might help stabilize the prices since the supply and demand would eventually lead to stability in price.
Just a thought….
This is why I only craft the mystic kits when I receive the stones from AP chests.
I used to do the same, but they’re been a real bag space saver and simple to make/convenient yet so inconvenient to make if you use them on a regular basis. Especially once you’ve gotten most of the achieves and it becomes a slow decline between AP chests.
Same. Only thing I use them for anymore is for making kits. I tried to burn through them on the mystic forge daily when tossing white items into it for the daily to save 50c…that’s how many of these things I get; they’re barely worth a few copper anymore. I still have over 100 from the AP chests and I keep getting more from black lion chests and occasionally from dailies. Sitting at about 115 still. I’d give them all to the OP if I could.
I wish that was possible had a friend sitting on a similar amount but alas they’re account bound.
I put 3 rare spears and stone in the forge and got the legend.
Not sure how that was constructive to my original post in any fashion but gratz I guess? I know they can be used in place of a piece of equipment for exo/rare recipes. But the main point was how the stones are hard to acquire for those wanting to regularly make MSK with the stones for normal use instead of the 25 charge kits.
Actually, the OP isn’t about using the stones for item substitution.
Its about the use of the stones to make Mystic Salvage Kits. I do, also, agree with them.
I know that Anet isn’t directly in charge of the exchange rates of gems/gold, but at the current rates, which are actually pretty stable in general, this does make this an extremely expensive item for the forging of the MSK. The MSK already requires the purchase of the equivalent of 75 salvages, via the three highest level salvage kits, and then the use of the forgestone is what makes it sensical to get the 250.
I believe that it would probably be better to use something like Crystals/Philosopher’s Stones or something along that line, something you can purchase for skill points or some other kind of reward, to make these kits.
The Mystic Salvage kit is one of the greatest items in the game, imho, and is far better than any other kit, price wise even better than the Black Lion Salvage kit, though not stat wise.
In truth, however, even the BLSK requires 300 gems for 25 charges, thus making it cost about 24-30 g per kit. From this stand point the MSK seems practically a steal, however the MSK is a more common usage, having the lower return stats and all. Its whole purpose is to be used as a kind of 10 master kits in one, but the cost for that bag convenience is far outstripped by the price point.
So yeah….it would be nice to either change the recipe, or lower the cost of the forge stones…..I’m thinking changing the recipe would be better.
Thank you Gany for hitting it right on the nail. Using Philosopher’s Stones or Crystals would make more sense than dumping a ridiculous amount of gold down the drain to make a kit that by far has been the best Salvage Kit in game besides the BLSK.
~Want to thank everyone whose replied so far, especially those who actually got the concept I was trying to point out in regards to Mystic Forge Stone cost in relation to making the Mystic Salvage Kit.
I’ve come to realize that these don’t drop as frequently as I like. As of lately I’ve been burning through my stock and only have 3 left. I figured no big maybe I’ll just buy some from the TP and make my Mystic Salvage Kits. But it wouldn’t make logical sense at least mathematically.
If I bought 5 stones (since the recipe requires 3) from the TP I’d be spending 22g to make a Mystic Salvage Kit. Which has 250 charges with the same kit stats as the Master’s Salvage Kit. Being that a Mystic kit is technically = to 10 Master’s we can say at vendor cost (which is 15s 36c per kit) I’d be paying like roughly 1.5g for the same amount of charges. Which when thought about it’s quite ridiculous that it would cost 22g to make a Mystic Salvage Kit vs. carrying a butt load of Master’s Kits and clogging up my bag space.
So, I guess I just feel that as a primary component for a Mystic Salvage Kit, the Mystic Forge Stones should be at a reasonable price or replaced altogether since I know it’s not the only use for the stones.
As a player who can burn through 1-3 of the Mystic Kit’s daily it’s starting to become painstaking that I will need to revert to carrying 5+ lesser kits in my already cramped bags.
Perhaps incorporating something like they did with the luck/agony resist upgrading for Artificers, in regards to kits would be nice and more accessible to players. But I haven’t fully thought that out. I just wanted to point out the cost of the stones outweigh their benefits at this point in time by a landslide.
I had to change my password recently and now the game client won’t ever remember it. Typing in my password every time I want to play is getting old quick. I tried searching the forums for a fix and came up dry. Any solutions to this? And yes I have reinstalled with no avail.
Hey guys, I had the same issued 81/83. What I ended up doing was going to Lion’s Arc and asking map as well as my guildmates to go ahead and spam my inbox. After about 7-10 messages the Hint Completion Achievement completed. It seems as though it’s a bug but you might be able to proc it just by redoing the full mailbox.
