I’m still glad i rushed to get it, though once i hit rank 80, time for a gw2 break to start conquering that steam backlog for a bit … this really needed to be said sooner about “Year of the Ascension”

But I will always say I got mine back in Season 3.

Have screenshots of both putting mats into the forge and forging it. Do that with all legendaries

Now move those Achievement sections into the Legendary Backpacks under collections and rename it, The Ascension I, II, III, IV

Why do the traitlines always completely clear when they are changed?

Like example, im an engineer… if i swap scrapper to something else, and back… it does not remember which traits ive selected originally.

My question is this, why can’t the specializations remember the data entered even while not selected? Is this an engine limitation or what?

And this is why there should be item recovery systems in place.

Seeing as how there is some Precursor collections that contain fun little items, why can’t there be more? Since quite a bit goes into items that end up being useless. Maybe mystic forge recipes and have the npc’s resell certain collection items for the forge for a few silver.

The recipes would vary from :
- Cosmetics
- Minis
- Fun Items

I’m not to sure what could be done with these I put together, maybe some sort of funky golem mini? Or something you lug around like a rock that has effects on it? Not sure.

Can the Anomaly please get a damage taken buff at 20% ?

Everytime ive done it the groups involved keep getting killed by the pure randomness of the whole fight, 20-25% usually everyones nearly dead or fallen

Does anyone else using surround sound (5.1) have an issue with field of view affecting positonal audio or their sounds being to low despite the npc right in front of you?

You hat an equel chance to win, and you lost, so you lose a pip. I’ve had games where I’ve lost by 50 points and got 2 pips because we had a less then 40% chance to win.

Still doesn’t change the fact that its a load of crap.

Now I’ve yet to still make a lick of progress in Emerald. (granted i did take a break around the holidays) Every time i get 4/5 in tier one i suddenly have a massive loss streak

There is an mmo that allows for items to be ‘engraved’ and even has crafted items with the crafters name on it.
But i wouldn’t advise playing that mmo since it costs an arm & a leg just for the materials, implementing that here would make the cost comparable to a legendary weapon if it were on par to that other mmo.

Nice idea, although adding something to any mmo always comes with a ‘price tag’….and how heavy depends on the dev’s.

I’d gladly pay gems to do engraving honestly, maybe a system similar to how transmutation charges work.

As the title suggests, this is an idea for personalized notes on your soulbound items or gear. Only YOU would see them, linking over chats would not display these messages.

The note would be similar to how some items have personalized text under required level, however items that already have personalized text cannot use this personalized note feature. Could even go as far as saying only Legendary items get this level of customization.

Just brought this up because it was on my mind, like I’ve been given gems from a family member in particular, it be a neat touch to be able to add Made Possible By <name> or In Memory of <name> to your gear , just as another way to remember them by

well, if they take away the collection sometime and you can’t complete it next year or the year after, THEN you have a complaint but as it looks.. you’ll be able to complete this collection at your own pace, even if it takes years (just remember, you can get a present a day from your home instance.. might take thousands of days but you could eventually pull it off).

They probably won’t take away the collection, but the drinking achievement will be archived after Wintersday concludes, so if you haven’t consumed all ten thousand drinks before then you’ll be missing at least one item in the collection until at least next year, assuming the achievement is both restored and not reset for Wintersday 2016.

very possible it goes beyond your own isp, and even arenanet, the internet services that provide for you and anets isp could be having trouble at a main line somewhere or could be doing stuff.

But thats just a guess.

Anet says its at my isp, whereas my isp keeps saying its a modem…

Which i know its not because the issue existed before they sent me a new modem to try to correct the issue in the first place

It doesn’t help i get clueless isp reps as well, really think they are covering their butts over at Anet.

I notice it in all game maps. Its real bad in WvW / HotM and any pvp.

It exists in PVE as well but doesn’t seem to be as bad, still there though

There has been unclear wording in achievements before… i hope this is one of them

And no im not saying Primordial Legend should be this way, that should be in a league of its own.

4 Division Thresholds in a Single Season. I could see it work for a few months but not nearly 2 for most people. Its far to time consuming either way you look at it

You have to do 4 division thresholds in a season for the entire set of metas too.

Outrageous. Even vanilla legendaries took less time.

It’s kinda impossible unless you are uber pro or lucky. If I’m correct f2p can play rankeds but they can’t use elite specs so playing yolo with them = lose since they are not balanced. Moreover 20 rank is too low imo, it should be atleast 50 or even more. People simply can’t play..

Rank 50? No its fine where its at, I like doing pvp, when theres actually a reason to.

Do you really have to reach Division 4 within a single season to finish these things for the metas?

Im sure i can probably find a team, but a real pain when attempting to get up there solo

You don’t drop divisions at least.
Once you reach say the next division you will not go back to division 1, it says that right on the blogs too so not to terrible

heres the thing people… guilds were never meant to be less then 5 people. the fact you are able to have less then that in a guild was not Anets intention. Their mistake is allowing it to continue. Guild content is for a guild, not a party of 5 or less. And thinking anet has to make real world decisions because of fantasy lore is absolutely preposterous!
I understand your delima, ive been there, but if you go out and recruit 5-10 people out of the millions playing, you can accomplish anything the game throws at you.

Pretty sure i remember seeing somewhere ArenaNet doesn’t care for guilds less than 5 people. I use mine as a personal bank after all :P

WoW does it, so why couldn’t GW2 do it.

I play just fine on an FX 6300 and R9 270X 4gb. Sure i dont always have the almighty 60 fps everyone clamors about all the time, but im still able to enjoy high/ ultra.

Actually a very good point. It looks like the subscription model will be similar to Office 365.
Right now Office 2013 is ~$140 one time purchase
Office 365 is $70 per year.
50% license cost per year. Considering that office stays reasonably current for a fairly large time (2003 vs 2013 have differences, but basic functionality is the same, which is what most people use office for), so over a decade you will pay 400% more using subscription model than using one time purchase (reminds you of GW2 and subscription MMOs, yes?)

Likely Win10 will run under similar model, which (I hope) will create a large push in open source OS development.

Windows 10 is not going to be a subscription model, they have stated this.
The thing that is free is the upgrade and your first license, basically if you want to reinstall, you’ll need a new license. That’s the catch to the free bit.

As much as i would love DX12 to be supported by GW2, it likely won’t happen. They’ll stick to their own definition of “fun” as usual.

So really, they are just throwing this OS out. I see no reason not to pick it up. And if the upgrade is as smooth as Win 8 to 8.1, I’d be all in without second guessing.

No, you still get updates from microsoft, the important ones anyway. And if they are smart they will make the cost of activation small like they did back on Windows 8, so maybe $10 for the upgrade license
