Really good reset even though we kinda got our bums kicked there. The reset from Gunnar’s has improved from the last time we met in my opinion. It’s also good to see some Realm vs Realm fight since neither RoS or GH went for the Miller’s border.
Good luck to all three servers. It’s gonna be one hell of a ride this week and I hope I will enjoy it even more after I get rid of the rust that has gathered into my body.

Minor nitpick: it’s not the community that’s volatile, it’s the general wvw population (big difference) – the community is a big reason for why there’s still fighting going on when most people are demoralized. But: bring on the focus! :-P

You have your own playstyle and are very good at defending towers with siege weapons, which is good to learn new tactics, thanks for that.

Also since you are in T1 I regularly see some of your bus not moving at all when we charge you and wipe you, I have no idea why, it looks like you don’t react very fast in open fields, so probably the reason why you can read that some of us consider you as weak on open fields, but you are learning as well so it should get balanced soon.

Or then they will just get bored of wiping and start playing the Viz Hide ’n Seek game.

Not going anywhere

It is a completely different reason why Seafarer’s Rest stopped fighting. They stopped because free transfers brought a huge influx of new players into the server. When that happens, you need to integrate them to the community and tier 1 isn’t the place for such action.
Vizunah pugs just gave up because they couldn’t handle all the wiping.

SFR has wanted to drop tiers since the day of free transfers. Viz instead just stopped nightcapping COMPLETELY when Seafarer’s was dominating. That sounds like giving up to me when they give up their main source of points.

The AC nerf is gonna hit the game during the next week so I’m fine. Also took a fully upgraded hills with thousand and one arrow carts inside. Of course we got a little help from the red team that focused the other side of the borderland. (READ THIS: It wasn’t double teaming, the red team just saw an opportunity since the whole german server was defending hills.)

The small scaled 30v30 fights are actually pretty good and enjoying the tier a lot more when the Gunnar whiners and quitters are off.
About the guild invitation thing, it’s pretty sad you still bring this up. We haven’t even invited any more guilds here ^^ Anyway enjoy your training session in t8.

You clearly don’t read the posts above you. I even said on this page that VoTF and RiOT actually spreaded out in hills, one went north gate and one mid. RiOT also let VoTF to cap it and went for another objective when the gate was open.

I don’t really see how anyone can find spamming 1 fun. This goes for blobbing and ACs.
These guys should get the “tap the egg until it cracks” game.

And to the guilds that have people lost interest in the game: Why not just change the server? Get all the guilds to a same meeting and split up the forces in the lower tiers. You get the fights in between old enemies (you could switch enemy guilds also).
Oh and when Laceration asked about t7, it’s quite good. Only wish the enemy guilds had ~10 more active players (that will happen in t6).

Also for your information, the germans give out a way better fight than the Gunnar’s people do.

Shouldn’t be to hard to just give the 1st server a ticket to higher tier and the last server a ticket to lower tiers.

Didn’t you know that the siege despawn was always 30min? There was just people refreshing the siege every now and then and that’s why you saw the same siege up for 6+ hours.
I personally think that the siege despawn timer is the only good thing in the whole patch.

Maybe all the organized guilds should have a meeting and stack up in the lower brackets, equally in all the servers. Then there would be no way up because of balanced matchups and glicko 2 glitch and there would also not be arrow carts and coverage that keeps them up.
We all could enjoy the fights we play the game for and there would be no reason to stress about going up in the bracket.

I would like to say one thing in defense of RoF: Italian community there has some numbers, and more than 2 commanders are Italian too; fact is, that days from 4/25 to 5/1 in Italy are vacation days when they come with sunday and saturday in between. So people luckier than me spend these days away from home and from wvw. I’m not saying only Italians play wvw, but this could be the cause you guys see less dedicated wvw’ers online.

The majority of last weeks matchup wasn’t too bad. But then it was just VcY and RiOT in primetime and we could compete. They got alot of points during the day and the night thanks to the ex-Xaoc numbers boost they had over us hence the lead. Then at the end of the week they gained 4 more big guilds. Watch the scores for this week

There was so much whining during the last week also so do not deny it all. And we got VoTF in the middle of the week. The only guild more we got for this week so far is XxX.
The night capping isn’t only FRS members. There is usually 5 of them, 5-8 from VcY and same amount from RiOT. Usually a couple from VoTF and pugs of course. In total about 20 until 4am gmt +2 and then the numbers drop to 10.
The points of this week come because Gunnar’s Hold population is very unstable. They all get to the battlefield when their server is winning but when there comes hard times, everyone just logs off. Do not put the blame on the guilds on Ruins of Surmia.

The amount of QQ from Gunnar’s Hold players is really impressive. Get over it.
You say RoS transfers ruined a balanced tier. Wanna tell me how your 80k lead to the second server was balanced?

Confusion is not dead though we still have the ability to stack more condi damage than in PvP. So the damage will still be stronger in WvW by a decent amount.

Yeah sure. Usually mesmers can put 3-5 stacks of confusion to the zerg. Atm it does ~1500-2000 dmg and post nerf it will be 750-1000 damage. Usually confusion lasts ~4 second which leads to that confusion will be useless.

This tier was roam friendly and will be again soon, but only when bandwagon jumpers like yourself have moved on.

If you wanted roam and great small scale fights why on earth all go to the same server? Do you not understand that this will leave a lot of you not having anyone to fight? and that you will go shooting up the tiers so fast you will be right back meeting the blobs you were running from?

I never understood why “pvp” guilds cluster up on one server. Dont they want a balanced fight where they have to struggle to win, or do they perfer to hold hands and faceroll?

Its doubly ironic given that the reason for the migration was their complaints about VS….when they are doing exactly the same thing to the lower teir servers.

The reason VcY and RiOT transfered together is because we are like brothers. VoTF came here because they are friends with these two guilds also and same goes for FIRE.

Also 30-40men guild group is far away from blobbing FYI.

It’s also worth remembering that we only get ‘those good fights’ for a couple of hours during primetime, and only in some places. The rest of the time (and on the rest of the borderlands) it’s just a Surmian outnumberfest.

It’s not like you can’t move for epic fights in this tier right now, unlike – say – last week when we had 3 equally balanced servers and there was always a fun fight to be had.

It’s funny how you cry about unbalanced matchup. Only thing GH needs to do is to keep the morale up of the pugs and you will have nice numbers. We saw this on reset and you did a fantastic job there.

I have been out of t1 for 2(?) weeks now and I have been enjoying Guild Wars 2 more than ever in my life. Tier 1 was just toxic. I can finally play with the guild and actually have those GvGs during capping places.
Would be really nice to see some guilds from Vizunah to spread over to different french servers to balance the things out.

To be honest the only 20+ number guild in RoS is VcY. RiOT usually runs 10-20 and the other guilds are pretty small.
Then the second thing. Some guys are whining in the thread that VcY + RiOT destroyed the balanced tier only because WE JOINED RoS, not Whiteside Ridge or Arborstone. Yes, we might have destroyed the balance for one week but it would’ve been the same deal if we joined the other server.

RUIN is insignificant history – Deso climbed back to T1 without them and have stayed here consistently.

Yeah keep telling that to yourself We just caught an IRON spy in our teamspeak a few nights ago and due to that I had to create a channel with password.
You were everywhere where we went, even if we switched map. When caic told the spy that he’s gonna kick the guy out of the channel for spying (2nd teamspeak on), he just left and never came back. Guess what?
IRON didn’t know anymore where we went and the night crew was back to normal.
