I know I’m not the only European who plays on a NA server, I have quite a few friends on there I play with but only now in the last week or so have I been getting random blips of lag.
Lag-spikes that hit randomly resulting in NPCs not responding, applications like vendors and trading post not opening or loading. In most cases I keep getting skill delay lag.
Today I was unable to participate in small events with at the least half a dozen players present. When I try to use skills; the buttons light up but the character does nothing, anything up to 5- 10 seconds later it responds; movement however is not affected in any way just skills making it difficult to interact with any battle or event.
I have reset my modem many times, have checked ping and speed and there are no issues I can make out, I hate to echo what others have said but up until the last patch with the Adventure Box I’ve had no latency issues with playing.
I’ve been getting random lag spikes too, they seem to last about 5 seconds at times or longer. Have no other net-related issues, reset modem made no difference. Takes about 5 seconds+ to interact with NPCs, created a character the other day, a mesmer and combat was pointless, the keys responded but combat did not. Was able to still move, dodge, jump etc but 5 seconds later the combat started even though I was no where near the NPC mobs.
I’m on windows 7, a few days ago it started. I got dced, reconnected with the message; awaiting email confirmation etc, figured it had stuck me on a bad network but on reading this thread glad I’m not the only one with problems.
For the last twenty-minutes I have been randomly disconnected, originally it was telling me the game client had lost connection from the server. Now the screen goes white and tells me connection to the login server has been lost.
Is it normal for this to happen; the login server fail and it kicks players who logged in off the game?
Having similar trouble too; keep getting a notice on “Network error, please check your router/firewall” when I go to the character select screen or it takes ages to login or it simply dcs whilst I’m in game.
Ah, now it’s allowing me to buy them, just received confirmation from my emails. The last time, earlier on today trying to buy actually went through. Yet for some reason on buying items on gem store, the language on the Trading Post changes to German??
And I just tried again and it tells me the same thing; The order is still pending. Your gems should arrive shortly. If there is a slight delay that’s one thing, I mean it’s not ignoring the card but I’ve checked my bank and emails and I’m not getting receipts or transaction history on any of them.
Hello there, what is meant by; “Order is pending”? I tried to buy gems last night and was given a page telling me “Order is Pending, your gems will arrive shortly” only they haven’t. Does this mean that the order has indeed gone through and I have been charged or that the transaction has timed out?
I have been unable to receive mail from other people on my friends/contact list. I can still receive Mail from NPC Quest Givers but not from people I know. This seems to happen on all of my characters seemingly.
For the last two days I have been getting a strange rendering issue in two zones; Iron Arches and Fireheart. These happen randomly when the angle of a camera is pointing at an area then I get a strange “flickering” of the background as I turn, when I stop fully as in Iron Arch; a cliffside and vista atop a rock derendered to skyline and water, the mobs also vanished leaving just the foreground and my character.
When I move forward or turn the image re-renders for me.
Even if I exit the game and rejoin I get the same issue but only in a specific area, it does not happen everywhere.
In Fireheart, I went to look at map, as I did so my character flickered going to the map and closing map it momentarily flickered but the background did not.
My Drivers are up to date; I have ATI HD 5800 and have checked the site with no new available driver upgrades available.
