This was..an amazing post. While I hope the LS does improve for season 2……I feel like it’s still wise to go in with low expectations. Just seems like the amount of effort and development time needed to address all those issues would overlap with anything else they wanted to do. Which is why I think the story’s implementation has been poor to begin with. If I really want a good story, I would just go play single player game.

I think those comments you’ve mentioned are just funny and were not meant to be taken any other way.

Okay, you’re losing credibility with me here. Have you really read through all the posts? People have explained the flaws that come with a gear based system and why they don’t wouldn’t want that in GW2. It’s not an ideal system for every MMO player and it never will be.

And is there REALLY a problem here? Do you think the time you’ve spent in the game wasn’t worth it? I think for players like you who miss gear progression should just feel glad you aren’t paying a subscription. That is the beauty of GW2, just come back when you want to. Maybe you should just a take a break and come back for an expansion.

So when you’ve completed SAB on all your characters for the day (or don’t want to delete and create new ones), my friend posted a very nice path for zone 2 farming.

I completely disagree. If being “limited” by 5 character slots is one of the compromises I have to make to play an MMO like GW2 without a subscription fee, I’ll gladly do it every time.

Is the perfect relationship one that has never endured a struggle or issue before? I feel like this is unhealthy and unrealistic impression I get from your post.

1.) Kill variety in orr? I still had to leave the map most of the time if I wanted to complete that. Also, don’t you think if you designed content such as keg brawl in your game and knew most people ignored it, that you would want to provide incentive for people to try it out? There are probably people who never knew what it was before that like playing it now.

2.) In regards to vertical progression, you make it sound like it’s already been confirmed that they intend to go the gear grind method like most other popular MMOs. You are preemptively upset over a decision they probably haven’t even finalized yet. How can you act so sure that it will be this one way? Fractals 10+ are the only thing that can feel somewhat exclusive because of gear and that hasn’t ruined the rest of the game.

3). This part of your post is the most unreasonable. You are picking things out like ad campaign manager when it comes to smearing another opponent. Yes I seen the issue with culling. I believe it had to due with prioritizing enemies being visible versus allies so in PVE, it caused the issue of several allied players being invisible. An issue they intend to fix.

The one thing Arena net always talk about is how they are an iterative company. They are going to make mistakes and learn from them. If you really love this game than I would suggest making peace with that fact. Putting them on a pedestal is just making every mistake seem much more greater than it really is. The game is still fun and it sounds like you still know that.

Is there something more to this process that I am missing?

I understand that the nightmare court puts you through a lot of anguish and psychological torture and how that could traumatize or change an individual but I don’t quite see how their nature is quite literally corrupted to a point of no return.

Is this some biological thing where given enough time and pressure, they can corrupt any Sylvan’s resolve?

This is a really minor issue, but I just noticed while browsing through my weapon master achievements that I have accumulated 0 kills for focus master. I’ve been playing a Mesmer since launch and as such can only use the phantasmal warden spell for damage. I tested to see just to be sure and saw no progress achieved. I’m not sure if this is specifically a focus master thing or a phantasmal warden issue, as I haven’t tested this on other focus wielding professions.

I liked that idea. I would be intrigued if they ever showed something like this happening.

I completely agree. I hardly use the GS on my own female Mesmer, because for me, the Mesmer is suppose to be always elegant. The way they hold it doesn’t really fit with that image for me. It just works out that I don’t really like that GS anyway so I don’t deal with it.

I was very pleasantly surprised to see how much fun this mini game was when I first tried it. I was eager to show a friend and..well it soon disappointing as we couldn’t play it together. Seeing how most of content in game allows you to play with friends, I couldn’t help be bothered by this.

It’s still fun and I will continue to play it by myself. Anyone else feel this way?

When I first made my human Mesmer at character selection, I chose Lyssa. But then it occurred to me while making a second human character, if this choice had affected anything during the personal story. Maybe I overlooked it, but I was wondering if anyone knew.

I’m looking for the conjurer armor set in PVE. I assume it’s a karma set, just wondering if anyone knows where I can find it.

yes that’s exactly what happened.

Actually, my friend was able to get a priory greatsword when he was part of the vigil. What he did was, on another character, he joined the priory and bought the greatsword. He transmuted the priory greatsword to a WHITE greatsword item. He then was able to place that transmuted greatsword in his bank. And then he was able to go on his main character and use the level 80 transmute item on the greatsword item from his bank to his main greatsword weapon.

So, I can’t say for certain but I feel like the same logic should apply to armor.

I understand the intention of your message but you what you’re basically asking for is for Arenanet to please everyone. It’s just not something realistic or even necessary to do.

Actually I found the perfect site, so I’m good now lol.

I’m looking to see what other exotic armor sets, besides the cultural and dungeon sets, are out there for my mesmer. There are exotic sets on the trading post that I’m curious about but since there is no preview option…

So just curious if there is a good list of armor sets out there somewhere.
